    So how can i make a block that when powered by redstone lights up?

    this is a fairly advanced part. The first thing you will NEED to do, is make sure your block has its own class that extends block, because we can not do what we need to with it.

    public class YourBlock extends Block{
        public YourBlock(int i, int j, Material m){
            super(i, j, m);

    Now we can start adding the power sensing, this will require us to use two things, onNeighborBlockChange() and world.isBlockGettingPowered()

    public void onNeighborBlockChange(World world, int i, int j, int k, int l)
        {
            if(world.multiplayerWorld)
            {
                return;
            }

    if the world is multiplayer, most multiplayer servers handle all the rest of the script, just just leave the void.
    Now we can't just toggle the block yet because then the block will toggle a lot, for stuff other than wiring.

    public void onNeighborBlockChange(World world, int i, int j, int k, int l)
        {
            if(world.multiplayerWorld)
            {
                return;
            }
            if(world.isBlockGettingPowered(i, j, k)){
                setLightLevel(8.5F);//can be different
            else{
                setLightLevel(0F);

    then this should work, every time the block next to it changes, it will see if it's getting power, if yet turn it on, if no, turn it off. I not at my actual computer right now, so I can't check.

    @Chewy2014 if the random import was his problem those errors would not show up, instead it would give an error saying Random is not defined. try casting all your variables to int, because it for any change you are adding an int and a float I belive it goes to float, same with double, 1I + 2.25D = 3.25D.

    you get less errors than me. I get 3076 errors, but it's because your computer can't find the OpenGL libraries, which most likely you don't have it unless you use it... or some other random reason, either way, as long as it does not affect the files you are modifying, and even if it does to the most part, because those errors will not exist when you put them back into the .jar, which has the stuff that is missing.

    Do not let user names Jbird343. He is the leader of a greifing team that goes into random servers and uses edited mods to allow themselves items without op. The stupid thing this user does is tapes a video and posts on youtube. This video is of JBird343 greifing in my friends server, I know it's my friends because I recognize the entire level (my house is only like 50 blocks away from where he is greifing...

    @raidonrai: no, you're the idiot it would seem. first off, imagine if notch had left the game at classic, would be no fun right. Mods take just a little time to update so just wait. Some people however find it fun to actually have a challenge, and with mods there is no challenge in the game. If you think the game is **** without mods then you obviously suck at playing it.

    you can't really un-instal a mod, always keep a backup. If you want a clean .jar delete your version file in .minecraft/bin and it will reinstall it.

    nevrmind, I fixed my own problem. When I placed the files in the minecraft.jar I accidentaly placed them over a folder and didn't know that 7Zip placed them in the folder instead of in minecraft.jar it was minecraft.jar/environment.

    this mod is auwsome. :iapprove:

    you said this was fixed? hmm. I place the files in my minecraft.jar file, delete META-INF, and exit 7zip, start up minecraft and absolutely nothing happens. a file in my minecraft folder apears called toomanyitems, but when I hit "o" nothing pops up. I was useing the last version and it worked perfectly the first time, 100% no problems, now there's something really wrong. is there a different key or something? a new process to use it, because the old version stopped working, and the new version will not do anything either. just 100% normal game.

    I am makeing a roller coaster, so far I have 18,000 peices of track placed, but I now am just starting to turn back around, meaning a little over half way there, I not going to get 18,000 peices legitly, I got the first 6,000 peices legit, took 19 weeks of constant tree cutting and mineing and then building and repete, until I found a classic mode mod by zombe, but this is the only thing good so far, and this is epicly auwsome, but It will no longer work, it was just 8 hours ago...

    please help. OR I BLOW YOU UP!!!!! :SSSS:

    I tried to compile my mod again after editing it, and I do not have an error about anything on this tutorial. I installed the correct Java SDK and I get the error:
    Unable to locate javac.exe. Please verify that it is in the PATH.

    Now I'd set it to the path, but I can't find it, it's as if the download did not instal, even though it says it's installed on my computer. can anyone tell me where to find javac after it's installed? cause I can't even search my computer and find anything.
