I wouldn't want those textures as default... If Mojang wanted to hire a pixel artist, tell them to look at people who are already in the minecraft community making resource packs. Here are some examples:
https://www.planetminecraft.com/texture_pack/18-vaders-alternative-block-pack---1000-youtube-subscriber-special/
https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/unity
https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/itembound-16x
I know not everyone has the same tastes, but, aside from Unity, Vaders Alt Blocks is perfect for thsoe who want a bit of spie to their existing worlds... I highly reccomend it, Itembound is there for those who want to have really fancy stuff.

not a whole lot happened... but hopefully some interesting stuff can come from that "Code Builder Beta". here's to the next generation of minecraft modders! Expect to see a lot of the same stuff that you get form an MCreator mod, Obsidian, Emerald, Redstone, Stone, and every other block varients of armor, ore, and tools.... but hey, it'll teach them to actually have fun coding, so those who continue with their mods go from obsidian armor that makes you invinsable, to the next Aether mod, or the next Buildcraft... as long as Micro$oft doesn't make Modders have to pay to submit, then players pay to download them...

ya know, as long as they don't say "Hey yea, no you can't download texturepacks or mods and put them in yourself, for free, anymore, you've gotta buy these ones to do it" by all means let creators support themself this way. But the moment you put free control of mods/texturepacks/whatever behind a paywall, you can kiss your asses goodbuy, as the vast majority of the player base will leave/not update ever again, because they can't play with their favorite texturepack without having to pay for it.

Honestly, I think the new terracotta blocks are... kinda ugly... I mean, I like that we have more "directional" blocks like that, it'll be good for resource packs, but the textures on them are... kinda ugly IMO... I know that some people like them, but I'm just saying I'd probably re-texture them for myself when I use the

I'd love to see the day when your able to say "Okay, I want to have 5 AI players and Me in this world" And then to have them be able to talk between eachother using the chat, and for you to interact with them as well, fight, build, and so on, even have them "simulate" another player, "logging off" and "logging on" dynamically as you play. That would be so fun! Then eventually "introduce" them to mods, to make he experience even more fun... one day right? one day...

Ah, I see what your getting at then. That does make sense, especially with poor Joe. I suppose I should rethink what I say... here:
I dislike the other console version because of the (younger) fanbase demands that the console (Xbox or Playstation) is the best version, and freak out when someone says that PC is better -

I guess I was a little harsh... the reason I'm so against it, is all the little kids claiming they play minecraft, then say that they play it on the Wii U...
I like little kids (not that way) I get along well with them, I helped my old daycare out one summer because it was fun. I talked to some of the kids, and they said that they liked to play minecraft, and as I was talking to them, they said that they played it on the Xbox, and I died a little inside... I know its good to get the game out on multiple systems, but its the younger kids (about 10-14) who are impressionable, they probably have only played the Xbox version... and think that its "the best" If they could play the original PC version, they'd realize that the Xbox (and playstation) version is... worse... much, much worse... But... then again... that is my opinion, and every one is entitled to their own -

Will servers like Mineplex be able to keep thier payed ranks with special prices for things, but allow non-payer ranks to access the same things, but for a higher price? -
Jun 16, 2014Drakoflame posted a message on EULA Revisited: an Updated Q&A From Mojangso, I have a question, I'm not complaining or anything, but I seriously want an answer.Posted in: News
Servers like Mineplex, which have special rankes like Hero, give them access to certain features.
An Example would be: Super Smash Mobs, Hero's and Premium have access to specific mobs.
Now, with some of these rules such as the ability to give players cosmetic changes and the ability to charge for some minigames and mods (look in the Q'n'A). Now, because of the ability to charge for some minigames and the cosmetic changes for people who (whatever the word is for people who give money for something, not Donators), the way I see it, servers could make it so people who pay, don't have to pay AS MUCH as people who don't pay.
Another example would be: Hero's pay XXX's for Mob1, where as non-payers pay XXXX's for Mob1. The way I see it, that is allowed, but they can't say that Hero's can pay XX for Mob2, but non-payers CAN'T buy Mob2, even if they have alot of X's.
Could someone be kind enough to explain that to me and let me know if that is allowed?
Also: Voting? is this affected by the EULA at all? Can I still vote for a server and get the things they say from the Voting? - To post a comment, please login.

We need more information than "It crashes before I can use it"

I just had a thought... how easy would it be to, rather than make the game render the body... simply move the camera position? For example... make the "Improved first person" perspective an optional thing? So like, how we normally press f5 to switch between third person and the camera facing the player, why not basically do that, only have the camera position at a point where its just in front of the players face, so it LOOKS like its from the first person, but really its just a modified third person camera to be put infront of the player. That way it "renders" the body using normal 3rd person camera, and players can have their helmets in their face, and if they don't want to, there can be a config option to "offset" the camera position either normally, or just infront of the helmet render.
I know this will be harder than it looks on paper, but it does seem a bit easier to do... I think o 3o

on the contrary, many mods are still being developed for 1.7.10, as the modders are basically going to skip 1.8 with how close 1.9 is to release. Only a few of the (major) mods are updating at the moment because Azanor started the push, the rest are going to wait for 1.9

if you go into the config (I don't remember which one, you'll have to look into it yourself) you can turn the physics off (the physics are the falling blocks)

there's nothing to help. That would require the devs to go into those other mods code, and add NBT data, or to over-ride the default vanilla water with different kinds. For now, take advantage of it and enjoy your clean water. If you don't like that, then think of it this way: all of those fluid storage tanks have built in filters that clean the water. Or, if you don't like that, take a bucket of water, place it onto the ground, and drink form that and get any biome effects for whatever biome your in. Otherwise, there's nothing that can be done about it.

"this string" is what Enviromine writes in the config. If you look at the other configs, they all have something like block_bedrock_bed_rock or something. Just leave that how it is, or if your adding an item that Enviromine didn't pick up, hold it in your hand, and press shift + j (or k, it'll tell you what you need to press to add a new item).
"that string" is the actual name of the item. an example would be as follows:
"S:01.ID=" leave all of that alone, that's default config stuff "minecraft:rottenFlesh" that tells Enviromine to look for a mod called "minecraft" (which is default) and the item inside that mod called "rottenFlesh". I can't think of anything off the top of my head, you will have to go into the game to look for these names, you can find them by pressing f3 + h at the same time, this should show you the "tags" of the item, or what the came see's them as. the white letters your used to seeing is what the game tells you its called.
I hope I could help, I'm not really qualified to be helping like this, as I've never coded a mod, or done intensive config editing. Good luck!

I have no idea, I can only guess...
From what I can tell, the first line is saying what the item is, and what the damage (meta data) is. -1 says to ignore meta data, and only use the item ID. An example would be something along these lines (Its also made up, just so you know):
Raw Lemon Chicken would have a Meta Data of 0, Cooked would be 1, and Burnt would be 2. The config is just looking for the item called "lemonchickenItem" so that would be Ray, Cooked, and Burnt.
The second one has me a bit stumped, but I think its saying "what does this food item turn into when its has rotted". Basically, you can tell it to either turn into evnrivomine rotten food, or you could have it turn into minecraft rotten flesh, or even into something else from another mod. You could have it rot away into diamonds, just change the line "S:03.Rotten ID"=enviromine:rottenFood to something like minecraft:rottenFlesh, or whatever minecraft calls rotten flesh, it would require you to go into the game, press f3 and "H" at the same time, or use a mod that shows that sort of information.
The third line is saying "how long before this becomes rotten, and turns into whatever is said above". By default, all food items Enviromine finds has a "life" of 5 minecraft days. I'm not sure if this is effected by mods that change time cycles, such as Stellar Sky, or To Much Time, or even in Witchery Dimensions. You can change it in that next part, making it either last forever by putting -1 in, or making it last for 100 days, its up to you on how long food lasts for.
I hope that I could help you, like I said, I've got no clue what-so-ever on how to edit the config like this, all I know is if I hold or look at an item, press shift+j (or k, can't remember) I can change things, like water, heat, sanity, and air quality (which i've been doing for most of Pams "drink" items that I make)

Yes. if you want to dissable a certain feature, you have to do it in the config, and it isn't to hard, you just set say, Sanity, to false in the config.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh, yea, that version. Yes, it's gone unfortunately... I remember playing it as well. And, it wasn't an "online" version, the browser "version" was basicly a way to play minecraft through the browser, rather than its own instance. Basically, it didn't do anything other than use the files on the computer, if you had launched minecraft through its client, and ran it by itself and made a world, then went onto the browser version, you could play the same world.
I don't know if that makes any sense, but that's basically all it was, minecraft running in the browser, instead of its own client

the version you could play online, the "classic" version was before a lot of the now current things, and a lot of very, very outdated things. It wasn't as optimized as it is now (before 1.8, somehow its optimizations made it laggier XD), the wool that you used in that version was based off of Notches original idea for colored wool, the colors arn't even the same anymore. Iron, Gold, and Diamond had unique side, top and bottom textures, there weren't crafting tables, furnaces, or chests. only one kind of sapling, one kind of wood, and biomes weren't even a thing. you could ONLY play in creative, there was no flying, and you couldn't sneak either, there wasn't even sprinting.
It was just... very, very old.. with the new launcher though, you can download the older versions, even the very first (publicly) available version can be played. there is nothing gameplay wise, just a time travelers tourist destination for the history of Minecraft. You can download and play your favorite version, and, I'm not 100% on this but, if you do it right, you can even mod the old version and play modded (ancient) minecraft Back are the days of the best version, Beta 1.7.3
Anyway, the classic minecraft version you played on the web browser is long gone. If you havn't already bought a minecraft account (sadly you have to buy it even if you had it when it was free, everyone did) you can do it on the main site, but it now costs a fair bit more than it did when people first had to buy minecraft (a whopping 14 USD, compared to the 30 USD you have to pay now)

Unfortunately, GiMoe hasn't been active since October... I don't think he's updating themod anymore, as there have been a few bugs here and there, and there hasn't been an update in a very long time... Hopefully he comes back, or maybe even Mr.Spring might come back and take it over, but that's just wishfull thinking ;n;
For now, if you're looking for more fun things to explore I might recommend http://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/recurrent-complex Recurrent-Complex, it adds a lot of world gen structures, some of which should work in the Wastelands biome, if not, then you could always use Atomic Strikers "Structures" mod, as I've found plenty of those buildings in my world, I remember one time finding an almost completely intact barn that I repaired the walls on and used it to live, then got lucky and found some water and make myself a farm, it was just a matter of keeping the creepers from blowing it up then XD

guys... don't rush him... I'm just as exited as you are for the mod to be released, but I've been paitently waiting for a release. The more you bug him about updates and when it might be released, the longer he can delay it. he could even say "I've lost interest so i'm not going to release it" all because people asked him litterally every day when it will be released

it doesn't matter if it isn't ready, if you release anything christmas related just about everyone will eat it up. even if its just a special decorative tree, or a little gift giving thing mechanic (which would be really cool IMO).
Maybe make zombies drop cookies? give you soemthing other than chests full of rotten flesh XD

Question: Is there a convenient changelog that lists all of the current changes in your releases? I know that there arn't many, but you could include your "release" as an update, then go on from there. I ask, (because I'm lazy, and so are thousands of others) beause I don't want to have to dig through the pages to find out the answere to my question, and I don't want to get yelled at "just look back a few pages" for asking it either, and a changelog is a bit more hand, especially if someone wants a certain version, rather than the most recent one, even if its outdated.

Not ment as necro or bump, I saw that Stuuupiiid had updated the thread, and thought I'd as him a question or two:
Stuuuupiiid, I saw that you have Gun Cus coming for 1.8, what made you decide to do an update to 1.8, and not just continue updating Gun Cus 2 for 1.7? I mean, its your mod and you can do whatever you want with it, I'm just asking for the sake of asking for everyone else who's wondering.
Also, there is an official update for GunCus 1.7.10 over on Curse Forge (which is why I looked back into your version because I was going to quote you, but saw that just about everything on your page had been changed, and that you had updated the pages info not that long ago), Do you know whether or not the gun packs for Gun Cus 2 are compatable with it? Or would it be up to the pack maker/whoever wants to use them to update them? (Now that I think about it their probably not compatable as Gun Cus 2 is still in 1.6, isn't it?)
