I wouldn't want those textures as default... If Mojang wanted to hire a pixel artist, tell them to look at people who are already in the minecraft community making resource packs. Here are some examples:
https://www.planetminecraft.com/texture_pack/18-vaders-alternative-block-pack---1000-youtube-subscriber-special/
https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/unity
https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/itembound-16x
I know not everyone has the same tastes, but, aside from Unity, Vaders Alt Blocks is perfect for thsoe who want a bit of spie to their existing worlds... I highly reccomend it, Itembound is there for those who want to have really fancy stuff.

not a whole lot happened... but hopefully some interesting stuff can come from that "Code Builder Beta". here's to the next generation of minecraft modders! Expect to see a lot of the same stuff that you get form an MCreator mod, Obsidian, Emerald, Redstone, Stone, and every other block varients of armor, ore, and tools.... but hey, it'll teach them to actually have fun coding, so those who continue with their mods go from obsidian armor that makes you invinsable, to the next Aether mod, or the next Buildcraft... as long as Micro$oft doesn't make Modders have to pay to submit, then players pay to download them...

ya know, as long as they don't say "Hey yea, no you can't download texturepacks or mods and put them in yourself, for free, anymore, you've gotta buy these ones to do it" by all means let creators support themself this way. But the moment you put free control of mods/texturepacks/whatever behind a paywall, you can kiss your asses goodbuy, as the vast majority of the player base will leave/not update ever again, because they can't play with their favorite texturepack without having to pay for it.

Honestly, I think the new terracotta blocks are... kinda ugly... I mean, I like that we have more "directional" blocks like that, it'll be good for resource packs, but the textures on them are... kinda ugly IMO... I know that some people like them, but I'm just saying I'd probably re-texture them for myself when I use the

I'd love to see the day when your able to say "Okay, I want to have 5 AI players and Me in this world" And then to have them be able to talk between eachother using the chat, and for you to interact with them as well, fight, build, and so on, even have them "simulate" another player, "logging off" and "logging on" dynamically as you play. That would be so fun! Then eventually "introduce" them to mods, to make he experience even more fun... one day right? one day...

Ah, I see what your getting at then. That does make sense, especially with poor Joe. I suppose I should rethink what I say... here:
I dislike the other console version because of the (younger) fanbase demands that the console (Xbox or Playstation) is the best version, and freak out when someone says that PC is better -

I guess I was a little harsh... the reason I'm so against it, is all the little kids claiming they play minecraft, then say that they play it on the Wii U...
I like little kids (not that way) I get along well with them, I helped my old daycare out one summer because it was fun. I talked to some of the kids, and they said that they liked to play minecraft, and as I was talking to them, they said that they played it on the Xbox, and I died a little inside... I know its good to get the game out on multiple systems, but its the younger kids (about 10-14) who are impressionable, they probably have only played the Xbox version... and think that its "the best" If they could play the original PC version, they'd realize that the Xbox (and playstation) version is... worse... much, much worse... But... then again... that is my opinion, and every one is entitled to their own -

oh for the love of gods... don't let this be true... Its bad enough that Nintendo made another console that looks like an addon... don't let the best game go onto the stupidest excuse for a console...

So, before you quit, think of this:
If Micro$oft adds something the Community collectively doesn't like, either they'll have to kiss a lot ass, fix it instantly, or loose their golden goose that was Minecraft -

Will servers like Mineplex be able to keep thier payed ranks with special prices for things, but allow non-payer ranks to access the same things, but for a higher price? -
Jun 16, 2014Drakoflame posted a message on EULA Revisited: an Updated Q&A From Mojangso, I have a question, I'm not complaining or anything, but I seriously want an answer.Posted in: News
Servers like Mineplex, which have special rankes like Hero, give them access to certain features.
An Example would be: Super Smash Mobs, Hero's and Premium have access to specific mobs.
Now, with some of these rules such as the ability to give players cosmetic changes and the ability to charge for some minigames and mods (look in the Q'n'A). Now, because of the ability to charge for some minigames and the cosmetic changes for people who (whatever the word is for people who give money for something, not Donators), the way I see it, servers could make it so people who pay, don't have to pay AS MUCH as people who don't pay.
Another example would be: Hero's pay XXX's for Mob1, where as non-payers pay XXXX's for Mob1. The way I see it, that is allowed, but they can't say that Hero's can pay XX for Mob2, but non-payers CAN'T buy Mob2, even if they have alot of X's.
Could someone be kind enough to explain that to me and let me know if that is allowed?
Also: Voting? is this affected by the EULA at all? Can I still vote for a server and get the things they say from the Voting? - To post a comment, please login.

it looks awesome! Mind if I ask what your plans are? do you plan to add more spawn structures? remove structures? Will we get to see the large cities again? or can we look forward to someones abandoned bunker?
Either way, I would love to help with ingame structures. I haven't the slightest on HOW to make them generate, but would be more than excited to build them for you

good to know, now if only you would help us by sharing a crash log, we could help you. And before you paste the full thing here (if you even come back or find the log) either use the spoiler tags (look it up, its really easy), or use pastebin to share the log.

Good to know there is some interest in keeping this alive! Looking forward to seeing what you do with the mod!

I would suggest not adding any suggestions, or anything, and because of this new review, the people who have been watching this mod and keeping an eye on it, will have to tell all the new people coming here who make suggestions that there will be no updates for a while, until someone updates it. Its good to see some interest, and awesome that someone popular (and really annoying IMO) has brought attention to this mod, it might not be long before there is an update. I'll have to go find this review myself and watch it (as much as I don't like popularmmo...).
And for those of you who just made a comment without looking at the other comments, this mod is not currently being updated, please do not ask for content or updates, it WILL NOT HAPPEN until someone updates this mod to 1.8, 1.9/.4, or 1.10/.2
Thank you for your interest, but tehre is no-one updating this mod and your comments will be lost...

If your using any biome changing mods this will happen. This mod is currently un-supported, and needs a new developer. The community behind the mod is here to help. As for what your experiencing, it must be some sort of conflict with the way the biomes generate

Today is a sad day in Wasteland type mod history... but it also leads to a bright future... its probably been out for a while.. but 1.10 forge is now out... this officially means that ANYONE may take up development of this mod... so please... modders.. do NOT let this amazing mod die... it is by far THE BEST wasteland type terrain gen mod out there... there is still quite a lot of potential, and people willing to help however they can (I can help with sprites if needed)... just... someone... don't let it die...
Also, if someone does take it up, instead of 3 versions, how about 2 versions or something...

Erutaion couldn't have said it any better. Those are interesting Ideas... but I don't quite think it would work like that, if a new developer added radiation, it would be a passive thing in the world, similar to the way that Fallout works it. If you drink water (another feature that would need to be added) you would get a few rads, if you get attacked to much without protection, you'll get more rads. If you happen to fall into a pool of radioactive water, you'll rapidly gain rads. Once your rads get to high you start taking damage. Cities would have a high rad area, while Forests and Mountains would be low, the Radioactive Lakes area would be dangerous to go into without rad protective armor, and going underground would eliminate the hazard of rads. It would slowly go away over time, or you could take/make medicine.
Anyway, I'm not going to go to deep into this idea because it'll just make me sad... I've got quite a few ideas for this mod that would make it really fun... but they'll never happen because there's no-one to work on the mod.
Here's to hoping that someone will eventually pick this mod up again (honestly... this is the ONLY mod keeping me from updating to 1.9.4 completely... i'm ashamed to admit it but its true)
0
Yes... and GG on year long necro... unless your planning on picking it back up.. You'll have to contact Maffew first, hopefully he'll say yes too
0
I've said it like... 20 times now... look up directly 2 posts please... this mod is dead/not worked on... there will be nothing added, unless someone picks it up and updates it... I'm sorry to say....
And as for adding things, I would try using mod tweaker, and rather than using the default world gen with, do what Regrowth did. Make your own generation type (or the ONLY generation type) and just use the biomes available with this mod. If structures don't generate, then use Recurrent Complex to add your structures.
Sorry if I come off as harsh, I'm just trying to inform you that no work will be done on this mod unless GiMoe comes back, or someone picks it up (I pray every day...) MrSpring was the previous Dev, but he didn't wan't to work on the mod anymore and thats why GiMoe worked on it, but I doubt that Mr.Spring will work on it
0
Awesome! Tho I hate to inform you that development is dead until GiMoe comes back (he's been inactive since October last year), or someone else takes over. MrSpring was the previous dev, but he has stopped working on this mod (hence why Moe took over).
Hopefully your mod will bring attention to a developer so they will pick it up, but unfortunately, and by no fault of your own (and please, this isn't ment as angry towards you), there might possibly be more people coming with crash reports, requests, ideas, and other things for this thread, only to be put down because they either, 1: don't read comments past the first page, 2: ignore all comments and just reply, 3: read two or three pages in, or only the last page.
Thanks for the attention to the mod, hopefully someone picks it up, and hopefully not to many people ignore comments or don't read other comments before posting crash reports, ideas, requests or other things...

I use Anti-ID conflict, and the only issues I've had is with BoP. It doesn't work with Wastelands, as it tries to make villages generate differently, and the Wasteland mod doesn't take kindly to being forced to do anything to different (hell... it would crash when I changed ITS config to prevent grass from spawning... but anyway) Biomes 'O Plenty uses a _lot_ of biome ID's...
0
First, the current Dev is MIA, so the mod is dead.
Second, the Wastelands is a worldgen type. so you don't need to worry. If your having wasteland biomes generating in the overworld, its a Biome ID conflict. you can change that in the config, it would be easier to change the wasteland mod ID's as there's only 4 or so.
0
woops, forgot that one! (how could I? its like the only place I look for mods now XD)

Exactly what Eruraion said. The only sites you should somewhat trust is Minecraft Forums, and Planet Minecraft. but you should also be careful, because some people will use adfly to redirect links to somewhere sketchy, and not to mention they're not the original uploader.
Simply put, 99% of the time, any mod hosted anywhere but Minecraftforums and Planet Minecraft, its stolen, reposted, illegaly monitised, and might give you a virus.
0
yes and no. jnbt AND the Wasteland mod are for 1.7.10, and don't work for 1.9.4. And before you ask to update it to 1.9.4, the current maintainer of the mod hasn't been active for a long time, and unless you can do it yourself, or if someone else wants to, it's not going to get updated any time soon, if at all
