[Updated 9/28/13]Hey, seems like a REALLY awesome mod, but I installed it EXACTLY how it said, but Minecraft keeps crashing just a few minutes after I start it no matter what it is I'm doingPosted in: Minecraft Mods
Mar 27, 2012First, please note that in the title I said "newb", which is short for "newbie," not to be confused with "noob," which is the most annoying creature in the virtual universe.Posted in: Redstone Discussion and Mechanisms
Now, I'm actually not really a newb, I've been playing minecraft since august 2011, but I REALLY, REALLY suck at using redstone, and I would like to learn. I've seen a few redstone creations some people have posted on here, so I know there are quite a few people on these forums who are excellent with redstone (if not that, then people who are quite literally 200 times better then me). If one of you people would just so happen to be reading this, I would be ever so grateful and appreciative if you could teach me to use redstone. There's nothing specific I'd like to learn, just cool redstone stuff in general, nothing too fancy, but just some common stuff, like pistons, automated farms, maybe timers or something. If you're willing to help me out, maybe we could meet up on a private server (not even sure if that's the proper name for a server made for just a few people) or something and you could give me a hands-on tutorial.
Thanks for reading, and possibly posting!

Mar 27, 2012Oh god...Posted in: Redstone Creations
I SUCK at using redstone... I come to this forum to see if maybe I could learn a thing or two from looking at others' creations, but now I feel even stupider due to the fact that the best redstone thing I've ever made is two sticky pistons opening and closing a 1 by 2 entrance by moving two dirt blocks... XD still a really cool thing you build there... I think... (absolutely clueless as to what that thing even does exactly)
Mar 27, 2012I don't know about you guys, but I really hate the way cats act in the 1.2.4Posted in: Discussion
I mean, not only are you unable to use anything that they're sitting on, whether it be furnaces, chests, or beds, but also, when they're trying to sit on these things they wont even teleport to you when you go far away unless your holding a raw fish, and even then I don't think there's a 100% guarantee that they will... It's freaking annoying. I honestly think that Notch should change the way cats act back to the way it was before, and if not completely get rid of that behavior, at least make it so that cats will still teleport to you when you get far enough away... Anyone who agrees should post something on this topic so we can all go on a rant about it together.
Ps: I know that a few of you will probably just be like "Oh, there's a simple solution, just backdate your Minecraft to 1.2.3" but that's not an option because I already build a fairly big structure out of the new kind of sandstone before I realized just how annoying cats trying to sit on your stuff is.
Nov 27, 2011you know, theres a way to do that without using any special items, but it would be pretttyyyy hard....Posted in: Suggestions
Well, here it is:
Use a mod to increase the height limit, then just build a replica of your house really, REALLY huge, so that in comparison, a single block is like litarly one pixle when you view the house so that you can see the whole thing. told you it would be hard. so anyways, yeah, I do agree that household items should be added.
Nov 27, 2011(this dream was in 1.8)Posted in: Discussion
I dreamed that that i was out hunting monsters, then i was being attacked by about 6 skeletons at once. I ran and ran, then, remembering that an enderman had once saved my life, i took a second to stare at the next enderman i ran across. he quickly teleported behind me, got shot by one skeleton after another, and killed them all, one after another. I took out a cookie to restore my hunger bar from sprinting, then the enderman went insnae and dropped the block he was holding and ran up to me and started flailing his arms, reaching for the cookie. I put the cookie away then he went back to what he was doing. then i took it back out and he did the same thing. so i ate the cookie then walked back to my lookout house. The enderman followed me the whole way. I put a pumpkin on and started trying to push him away from my house. He wouldn't leave. Then I realized this enderman was loyal to me. We would be best friends. I would protect him and he'd help me. I also realized the sun was gonna be comign up in a minute. I quickly began constructing a cage for him. as soon as it was done the enderman got rigth in. Because Mr. Cookie sounded weird, I decided to name him Mr. Muffins. I built a canal (a dry one) into the mines, and every time i was ready to go mining, i'd say "Mr. Muffins, get me my pumpkin, were goign mining." and he'd pick up the pumpkin i kept in his cage and hed set it down next to me. After i put the pumpkin on, he'd follow me into the mine. He'd wander off and bring me back ores, he'd lead me to amazing things, and he even learned not to touch water, lava, or natural obsidian (which was below both of those things.) And, no mater what, he'd NEVER despawn.
And THAT is why I'm not afraid of endermen, but rather, I welcome them into my home and my mine. Their good luck charms in the mine, and livesavers on the battlefield. You just have to remember that they think your eyes are creepier than theirs, and I hope that anyone reading this can establish the same point of view on endermen that I have. :smile.gif: (PS: Sry for super duper really long post :tongue.gif: it was a detailed dream...)
Nov 25, 2011yeah. sry 'bout that... ill go fix that now...Posted in: Creative Mode
hang on, it has .png at the end and it says that file extension isnt allowed on this board (or something) and i cant get it to be anything else
Nov 25, 2011(ill figure out how to put an image here... hopefully...) this is the biggest thing ive ever built. It is around 100 by 100 block (probly more like 103 by 96 tho :tongue.gif:_Posted in: Creative Mode
now, if you have ANY design ideas (for the castle im going to make it into) (materials, structures, how to scale it, etc.) then tell me, plz! (im not a designer. i can build, and i can come up with these great ideas in my mind, but im no designer.)
Now, 3 notes:
1: i WILL be making a large wall around, so some ideas about the wall would be helpful.
2: i WILL be digging up certain parts of it to make paths. i would like some ideas on what material to use, if you can gimme any ^^
3: i'll go i little outside of the area if it will make my castle better.
So, plz dont say stuff liek "oh, thats one tiny castle" or "thatll never look good" just design ideas. Thx.
Nov 25, 2011Hey, I have an idea for a new mode that could possibly be added:Posted in: Suggestions
fighting practice mode: locked on normal difficulty, can get infinite items (and blocks) like in creative mode, but you can't fly, and its possible to die, but theres no penalty for dying. like, if you die, it's just like "you died. Wanna revive on the spot and try again or return to menu?" It would be for wimps (like the former me) who need to learn how to fight but are totally scared of dying.
Nov 25, 2011I have some ideas for additional uses for glowstone dust that i think should be added in a later version. They are:Posted in: Suggestions
1: you can put down glowstone dust like redstone and it will glow.
2: you can put it above ANY other item in a crafting grid to make that item glow.
3: Glowstone lanterns (i dont know if there are already lanterns planned for the next update or whenever, but glowstone lanterns woudl be brighter then regular ones and maybe leave a dim, temporary glow on surfaces that its light touches)
So, good ideas, do you think?
Sep 14, 2011Uhm, endermen, are NOT lame, dude. They teleport to you, run really fast (a random fact is that theyre the only mob that can open and clse its mouth without changing textures, and that its eyes glow in the dark!) kill u in three hits, move blocks, and are INSANELY CREEPY. DONT TAUNT THE ENDERMEN!!!!!Posted in: Survival Mode
