posted a message on Changing the mob spawn Algorithm?

Hello I am making a Datapack and need to change the mob spawn algorithm? What I really need is to make any mob that never will spawn in a specific biome to be able to spawn.

An example: slimes they spawn in any slime chunk below Y40 and in swamps with the moon as the spawn factor. Ok I want to also spawn in Desert biome also using the moon factor. This is add slime spawns to all desert biomes. Or an other example I want to add lamas, cows, pigs, etc any other mob to a desert.

I say desert as is one of the most restricted biomes but it may be also an example if I want to Skeletons, zombies, etc to spawn in the end for example and not just Enderman. Or maybe reduce/increase the light level so creepers can only spawn if light levels are 3 or less (not 7 as is now).

Is there a command to do that?

posted a message on animal spawning on skyblock

Per Minecraft wiki mobs do not spwn if word is in void biome.

    https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/The_Void

Also for example for Pig Spawning

1-3 pigs spawn above grass blocks at a light level of 7 or more in any grassy overworld place except in snowy tundras and wooded badlands plateaus. Individuals may spawn on grass after the world generation.

You maybe also need to check the Y coordinate, as much I remember mombs like cows and pigs etc only spwns in Y 64+ also that deppends on the Biome you are if your sky block has biome VOID those mobs will not spawn. Do this use /seed command and writye down your seed and create a normal world with that seed and see where do you appear maybe you are in an ocean or a desert and there mobs should not be generated.

Those are my ideas why you do not get passive mobs.

posted a message on If redstone ore does not exist what should be the redstone dust recipe?

Ok guys we are in a Nether only Minecraft workd and the REDSTONE ORE does not get generated what would be the restone dust recipe?

Yes I will make a DataPack to craft it but what should be the recipe?

I think it may be using Netherrack, Glowstone dust and a hint of quartz. and you get redtoene dust.

    NGN

    GQG 4*Netherrack + 4*Glowstone_dust + 1*Quartz = 5 * redstone

    NGN

What you tink about this? Too complicate? Is OP?

posted a message on Creating a world in 1.16.x without the Updated Nether or with selected Biomes?

On Minecraft 1.16 was introduced several new world generation options like the one I am trying to use that is Floating Islands, For a world I am creating, I am using this feature, However I do not want to have the new Nether (or at least not the new trees on the nether, I love them but just in this world scene are forbbiden) Therefore the questions is ... Using the new game World Generation Setting Import/Export is possible to generate a Nether with only one biome this is Biome Nether Wastes (as in the previous Nether) or bether yet Generate a nether with out the Crimson Forest and Warped Forest biomes?

    Is that possible?
