Glass is easy a bug with sticky pistons pointing down trying to pick up sand/ gravel, keep using a lever quickly on a piston trying to pick up the sand it duplicate. smelt rinse and repeat and got glass.
You realize that that was a bug fixed back in 1.7.3, right?
I even looked up the method used in 1.7.3 (SSAGE) and tested it in 1.9pre2 and it doesn't work.
I used an inventory tool to give me back the seeds (and a sapling that also got killed) when it happened to me. I figured it was fair, as I didn't know that a) it was GOING to snow 2 minutes after I put the seeds in the ground or 2) that snow killed seedlings.
Oh man this is ridiculous. Ballsed it up a few times, dropping things into the void (self included) and making obsidian by accident.
Once even setting myself on fire, dying, and respawning IN LAVA (rinse and repeat).
Got into the habit of saving, coping save, reloading so that I could do things incrementally (and not have to start from scratch every time I ****ed up).
Resorted to item hacking at one point, just so I could undo some easy-to-fix ****ups (namely snow killing my only pumpkin/mellon plants and my first and only sapling as well as twice creating obsidian in a bungled attempt to make a compact cobblemachine).
Just found out: I HAVE MOBS. I just can't get to them :\ Horray for pouring lava and water off the side of my island, so now that I sit at the top of a giant, irregular, column of cobblestone blocks. I see a creeper creeping.
No long grass yet, so no wheat, arg. Good luck feeding myself after mushroom stew #9 (I got 9 brown mushrooms; 1 feel off the world and while I have 1 more bonemeal, it won't do me that much good with only 11 red mushrooms).
You're not supposed to patch your jar. Optifine also allow HD textures to work.
What I mean is: I download Optifine. I follow instructions for installing Optifine (involves putting new class files into the minecraft.jar file). Minecraf fails and gives blackscreen.
Shame this doesn't work for me. I just get a black screen when running Minecraft.
Yes, I checked that I was patching 1.8.1 and not 1.9pre2 (although I did try with 1.9 as well).
I have an odd issue with this texture pack.
I can't get the 256x256 one to activate at all (even after HD Patching) and the 128x128 one does odd things. I get a little tiny nether portal and two little tiny fires in the upper right corner of the texture.
It's really bugging me, as the 64x64 (at 16x16 and 32x32 there's no visual difference between cobblestone and smooth stone) and lower aren't sufficient for me to want to switch, but I can't use the two larger rez versions. :\
Just FYI: the simulator doesn't properly simulate a monostable vibrator. When input is given the entire diagram flashes, rather than just the unstable loop portion. I.e. torches aren't burning out from too many state changes in rapid succession.

Yep. I have a towering pillar of cobble down to the void. It spawns creepers.

First page, just under the first picture you'll see:
Download 1.0 (Mediafire)
Download 1.0(adf.ly)
And under the second:
Download 1.1 (Mediafire)
Download 1.1(adf.ly)
Those links will give you a world folder, which you then have to place in your %AppData%/roaming/.minecraft/saves folder.

Shame I can't get Optifine to work. When I patch my minecraft.jar, minecraft fails to run properly (just a black screen). :\

Under what conditions might this ever be true?
Why, if the player places a grate and then places sand above it.
Whereupon the sand turns into an item and is immediately picked up.
What was the bloody point?
You can never get sand or gravel on top of this block without manually placing the sand or gravel there, making the "harvest" useless.
The only other time would be if you:
Placed the block under a stone block, mined the stone block, let sand sitting on top of the stone fall.
Which makes me think that this was a lot of effort just to avoid suffocating by accident (except that you knew it was coming anyway).
