    posted a message on Since When are there 64 Snowballs in a stack?
    So I just made a new mod Winter Warfare. While testing in Eclipse, snowballs stacked 16 high, like usual. I finished the mod and tested it in regular (1.6.4) Minecraft. Then, the snowballs stacked 64 high. My version of Minecraft has quite a few mods installed, so maybe one of them changes that. Any ideas? :huh:

    Version 1.1.1
    For Minecraft 1.6.4
    As Seen in Modjam 3 (Version 1.0.0)

    Originally created in Modjam 3, Winter Warfare adds a bunch of new weapons, mobs, and other stuff to make the Minecraft winter more fun... (even a potato launcher)

    Over 3000 Downloads! (12/22/13)

    Update 1.1.0 Video Showcase by Me:

    Snowballs and Weapons

    Iceballs:
    These are similar to snowballs, but actually do damage.

    How to get them:
    Iceballs come from ice. Fortunately, ice is now easily obtainable with the invention of the Ice Pick:

    Simply right click on an ice block with the ice pick and it will become harvest-able (as seen below)

    Iceballs are also dropped by the Ice Golem and Abominable Iceman.

    Rocky Snowballs:
    Quite painful, these snowballs do even more damage than Iceballs, but be careful because they will do extra damage to the launcher if you're using it.

    Exploding Snowballs:
    This is basically a grenade, just covered in snow. A 1-hit KO on most common mobs. It is rather expensive to craft, however.

    The Launcher:
    This can launch snowballs, iceballs, rocky snowballs, exploding snowballs, potatoes, and slimeballs at a long range and high velocity.

    All projectiles do more damage than being thrown (yes, you can kill things with potatoes). When launched at at a mob, the slimeball will turn into a sticky mess (cobweb) at the creature's feet.

    When you craft a launcher, you will automatically be given a Projectile Chooser. If you lose it by chance, you can craft it like this:

    Right click on the Projectile Chooser to switch to different projectiles that you have in your inventory.

    Menorah Cannon:
    Similar to the launcher, but it shoots torches. Useful for long range torch placement. It can also set mobs on fire.

    The Frost Scepter:
    This cannot be crafted. It is dropped by the boss Jack Frost. You can use it to turn water into ice and lava into obsidian. To do this, hold shift (or whatever key you use for sneaking) and right click if you are above water or lava. You can also cast the Frost Spell (right click when not sneaking) which will imprison the target in a cage of ice and usually drown them (unless they glitch out).

    A Creeper caught in a Frost Spell Cage:

    Hot Chocolate

    A rejuvenating beverage on a cold winter's night. Hot Chocolate gives the drinker Regeneration, Strength 2, and Haste 3 for a short period of time.

    (Note: recipe is shapeless)

    Mobs

    Abominable Snowman:
    The Abominable Snowman population has been rising over the years. They live in all winter biomes. Be aware, for they throw hard snowballs.

    Abominable Iceman:
    The biological brother of the Abominable Snowman. These guys are more rare, and don't like to mess around.

    Ice Golems:
    Don't fret, for there are good snowmen as well. The trusty Ice Golems will fight for you unto death. More powerful than traditional Snow Golems. Make an Ice Golem by placing a Frozen Pumpkin on top of two ice blocks.

    Frozen Pumpkin Recipe:

    Killer Christmas Trees:
    Inspired by Doctor Who, these Christmas trees will spin at high speeds in an effort to incapacitate you. Type 1 charges and Type 2 will rapidly fling ornaments. (Only spawn in Taiga biomes).

    Jack Frost:
    Who is behind all of this evil? None other than the boss Jack Frost. He has 200 HP and 6 deadly attacks (in order from most used to least used). Upon death, Jack will drop the Frost Scepter.

    Attack 1: Throws Hard Snowballs.

    Attack 2: Throws Iceballs.

    Attack 3: Throws Rocky Snowballs.

    Attack 4: Throws Exploding Snowballs.

    Attack 5: Casts the Frost Spell which will trap you in a cage of ice in an attempt to drown you.

    Attack 6: Summons Backup: an Abominable Ice Minion.

    Jack's Ice Castle:
    Jack Frost can only be found in his Ice Castle which is guarded by Abominable Ice Minions. Jack Can be found in the enchantment room. There is also a hidden diamond block. This is a very rare structure and can only be found in the largest ice lakes.

    posted a message on Secret Agent Craft (Now Server Compatible!)

    How hard would it be to make this compatible with biomes 'o plenty? I would like to use this mod in my survival worlds, but they all have biomes 'o plenty, and from my knowledge, the mobs (ninjas and agents and stuff) will not spawn in these custom biomes. If you can, I would like for these mods to be compatible, if you can't that is fine, you have created a really cool mod here.

    Sure, I'll look into it, I knew there were going to be some compatibility problems. I'm not sure exactly how to relate to content in other mods, but I'm pretty sure it's possible. I'm busy with Modjam this weekend, so I'll work on it next weekend. (as well as releasing a 1.6.2 version)

    posted a message on Running Minecraft in Eclipse without Sound or MC Logo
    So, for that past few times I've started modding projects, I get an error whenever I start the program. It's not a fatal error, so everything works fine except that there's no sound and there is no Minecraft logo. Before these past few times, everything worked out fine, and I haven't been doing anything different. Any ideas?

    Here's the error:

    posted a message on Advanced Entity Spawning - (Only spawns in rain)
    Okay, here's what I added to the EntityThunderer class:
    public boolean getCanSpawnHere() {
      return this.worldObj.getWorldInfo().isRaining();
    }

    I was feeling pretty good about the previous code until I realized that it would not spawn with an egg unless it was raining. This method allows for it to spawn only in the rain, or with an egg. Now I'll be able to use this in some dungeons that I plan on adding.

    It worked! This is all I had to add in the EntityThunderer class:
    public void onLivingUpdate()
    	 {
       if(!(this.worldObj.getWorldInfo().isRaining())) {
        this.setDead();
       }
    }

    This isn't exactly what I had in mind. I planned on having them still live after the rain but only spawn in the rain. But this works just as well. Thanks, I'll give both of you a shout-out in the post.

    It's crashing because you are checking to see if it's raining in the world, but the world has not been created yet as the game has not loaded. You should just be able to add the spawn in normally, and in your entity's onLiving() method (or whatever it is called), check if it's raining; if it is not, then despawn the mob, otherwise do nothing.

    Oh yeah. I figured it would be like that - the new world I added is not a real world. I just didn't know how I could fix it. Thanks a lot for the help. I'll give it a try and see if it works.

    In my new mod (Revenge of the Cursed, soon to be posted in the WIP section), I'm trying to make a mob only spawn when it's raining. Here's what I tried:

    @EventHandler
    public void PreInit (FMLPreInitializationEvent event) {

    proxy.registerServerTickHandler();

    //Define Mobs

    EntityRegistry.registerGlobalEntityID(EntityThunderer.class, "Thunderer", EntityRegistry.findGlobalUniqueEntityId());
    if(this.worldObj.getWorldInfo().isRaining() == true) { //This is the error line
    EntityRegistry.addSpawn(EntityThunderer.class, 5, 1, 1, EnumCreatureType.monster, BiomeGenBase.desert);

    }
    EntityRegistry.findGlobalUniqueEntityId();
    registerEntityEgg(EntityThunderer.class, 0x101027, 0xdfef61);
    RenderingRegistry.registerEntityRenderingHandler(EntityThunderer.class, new RenderThunderer(new thunderer(), 0.3F));
    LanguageRegistry.instance().addStringLocalization("entity.Thunderer.name", "Thunderer");
    }

    (Note: I only posted relevant parts of the code)

    Here's what I got:
    Vec3 Pool Size: ~~ERROR~~ NullPointerException: null
    Also a very large and detailed crash report that points to this line: if(this.worldObj.getWorldInfo().isRaining() == true) {

    Does anybody know if there's some way to make this work? I'm rather unfamiliar with some of the World class methods.

    I'm not sure if that happens, but it could be a side-effect from your coding.

    I doubt it. If I didn't type it, and it happened, then it has nothing to do with the extra coding. It's like charged creepers, just lesser known.

    So I was working on this new mod that involves a lightning bolt (like with Zeus). I was testing it out and I attacked a pig. It instantly turned into a pigman... and killed me. I've never heard of this before. I guess it's just some long forgotten Minecraft mechanic... or I'm being a noob.

    (This isn't actually going to be a daily thing, I just thought the title sounded better that way)
