Hey, hey! It's been a long while since I last played Minecraft, and I'm looking to get back into it for a stress reliever during my last stretch of high school.

What is your favourite thing to do in Minecraft?: It's a bit difficult to pin down any real thing I like the most in this game, but I suppose exploring/dungeoneering is my most favourite aspect, second only to building.
How would you see yourself contributing to our community?: Though I often tend to the more quieter side of things, I like to think I'm a decent builder, collaborator, and pun-teller. Just a warning, though, the puns I have at my disposal are of the lethal variety.
What makes a good Minecraft community to you?: Smaller, tight-knit communities whom I can establish a good, hopefully long-lasting friendship with.
Are you familiar with Discord? Are you comfortable using a microphone in a chatroom?: Yes, and I can provide my ID in a DM. As for the latter, no.
Tell us a little about yourself, an example would be other games you like to play or how you chose your IGN: I could go on and on about the things I like, but I'll boil it down to a few simple things: shipping (especially Starco, kudos if you know what I'm referring to), writing, drawing, most western cartoons (particularly Rick and Morty, Star vs. the Forces of Evil, and Steven Universe), and video games (obviously, and in particular Terraria and The Binding of Isaac).
How are the FPS drops occurring? In what pattern/fashion and is it happening in bot dimensions or just the Aether?
It's a bit of a standard FPS drop pattern. It pretty much just stays at 40 FPS for a few seconds, and rapidly goes down to 10-ish. It's also occurring in all dimensions.
I've been watching this for a while, and thought that the latest performance improvement would help me out, buy apparently not. I really, really want to play this mod, but I just can't with the FPS ....
I'm able to run most shaders and most modern games at a stable 20-30 FPS, but this mod drops it down to 8 whether I'm in the Overworld OR The Aether. I even tried lowering my settings down to the lowest they can go, and it seems stable for a while, and then drops right back down.
My card isn't the best in any way at all with an Integrated Intel HD 4000, but I would think that if I can run shaders that I would be able to run this without FPS like my old computer. I'm really not sure if this is just because it is in Alpha, but most of people seem to be able to play this just fine.
And please, if anyone responds to this saying to get a better graphics card; just don't. I can't afford buying a new computer with a new powerhouse card that can run SEUS with a Modpack at 60 FPS.
Any hints to why this is happening would be appreciated, as I've been looking at this for a while and been wanting to play, but not with complete unplayability.
The old version (1.02/1.01) ran very well on my computer (Intel HD 4000 card), but with the version 1.03, even the Intel specific verion, drops my FPS down to 5-8 FPS. Where as the previous versions ran at 25-30! I can run most of other shaders just fine (save for SEUS), but the latest version really bogs my computer down.
I mean, I COULD just switch to the older version, but the darker nights and white lens flare fix are something I really want to have. I can live with the night, but the white flare really bugs me.
Neat idea. I dunno about the Miner NPC's though. But Pickaxe ambience in Mineshafts? Mojang, get to it. Half support. Indifferent on the Miners, totally on board with Pickaxe clinks.
The day I got Minecraft, started a world with a village seed, during the night, I saw a Creeper spawn. I knew that Creepers were bad, but I didn't care, walked to it, tried to kill it, and *BOOM*! Village Well in pieces.
Once, on an old server I used to play on, I had enchanted Diamond Armour and a Super Diamond Sword (all legit) and was running away from 5. One caught up, blew up, and somehow insta-killed me. The mode was on Easy. EASY. Ever since then, I stay away from them and use my bow.
TL;DR: Creepers are evil monsters and need to be wiped off the face of Minecraftia, slowly, and very, very painfully.
Endermen are somewhat rare, but I usually see them often (night owl IRL and MC). Just stay up every night and explore to find them, and other goodies. (Maybe I see them often cause of my username? Hmmm ...)
I definitely support this. I normally play on Normal/Hard, one night passes, when I come back the ENTIRE TOWN is deserted. I even try defending sometimes, but I usually can't save anyone. Building a dirt wall only works for OUTSIDE mobs, Zombie Seiges can still happen inside the village, no matter how well its lit. Blocking the doors would require having to place them ever night, then remove them the next day, put them up again, etc.
Iron Golems aren't very good either, I tested a village defense with 10 Iron Golems to defend. Set it to night, Hard mode. The entire village (or the villagers at least) were dead after a few minutes. Nothing but zombies fighting Iron Golems. So yes, I support.
Just curious. Whats the difference between Lite, Standard and Ultra? With Standard I only get Motion Blur, Mob/Players shadows, and dynamic lighting. I've seen other pictures of this shader on Reddit where the water is super reflective, reflective glass, Sun Beams/Glares, Moon Beams, and luminous Glowstone Blocks/Redstone Lanterns.
Launch minecraft, edit your profile and check your JVM arguments they should have "-Dfml.ignorePatchDiscrepancies=true -Dfml.ignoreInvalidMinecraftCertificates=true -server" in it.
If it doesn't work, edit your profile again and check the box Launcher Visibility with the value "Hide launcher and re-open when game closes" and start the game. You'll have an error log, just copy and paste it in this thread between spoilers like I did.
I got the log, but it doesn't let me copy and paste it.

That doesn't really help me, just saying ...

Did you even LOOK at the date that was posted?
It was posted, like, what? ... Five years ago? I don't think they're gonna respond, mate.

The IGN is the same as my username here, so thanks in advance! (Profile picture is out of date, so it isn't 100% accurate of my skin anymore)
