I doubt mojang will use my Mod because It's barely been noticed, I have a few comments saying "cool mod" but that's it.
Overall I spend about 3/7 (Sometimes 6/7) of my day on the mod, making updates ETC.
and then I publish them, and find out it gets 1 View, If I'm lucky.

Don't always go by that - plenty of times there are leecher sites that post your mod and unless you are specifically checking there, you wouldn't know it. Besides, I think part of the deal with making mods is in the challenge of doing so and partly to put something into the game that YOU wanted - sure, it would be nice to know others appreciate it or thought it was cool, but that isn't the main reason for creating it.

That being said, I'm having some difficulties running this mod

    • First suggestion is to make sure you using the version of Forge suggested and not a more recent one
    • Second, you could just leave that .jar file alone and drop it into coremods as-is - not sure this will matter, but it will work as just the .jar file
    • Third, not suggesting you did anything derpy, but I know that I twice did a force update, thinking to get a clean .jar without immediately realizing I'd just updated it to 1.4.2 - so had to reinstall a clean 1.3.2 jar with the recommended version of Forge and everything worked fine from there

posted a message on [1.4.6] [Forge] TooManyPlants - 15 new plants, 19 new items!
Found a conflict with Twilight Forest - seems both mods use item IDs in the 317xx range, which caused picked lichen (31728) to pop up as Twilight's mazebreaker pickaxe. I thought FML was supposed to prevent things like this, but apparently misunderstood that - manually changing the IDs fixed the issue however...

...and of course just noticed this mentioned two posts up...

Wow, never heard of this mod before they posted it on Minecraft Forums and I can't believe it due to how great this mod is - simple concept, elegant execution - good work!

No, it'll download 1.3.2, it won't download my old jar file.

Just use MultiMC or some other launcher that allows you to have multiple instances of Minecraft, that way you can have your 1.2.5, 1.3.1, or whatever other versions you want, while also having a vanilla and "new snapshot" version of the game...

    posted a message on [1.4.2]MCMMP Mod Pack|First Update 1.4.2 | [49 mods]
Isn't this more of a mod installer - when I think of a mod pack, I think of a group of mods that normally won't work with each other being assembled into one pack where they do work with each other (in effect, taking the guesswork out) - and with this I still have to randomly pick mods to get a working combination. Not trying to knock your hard work of assembling them all into one installer, which is still impressive, just saying you could have added pre-loaded combinations you know would work already...

can you try running this with MultiMC after enabling the error log and post the error?

I would, but I always feel like I'm troubleshooting Mods when I install them already, which has sort of led to me being a bit burned out with all of the recent updates/snapshots Mojang has been pushing lately. I think I'm going to just wait for the MOD API and see what happens, and in the meantime just play my current modded versions. I'll revisit this afterwards to see what progress has been made, if it hasn't totally been redone after Mojang does their mojo...

    Try Java 7 maybe instead?

No thanks, was originally using that when I started playing MC and eventually ran into other MOD issues which necessitated the change to the older version in the first place. Besides, there appear to be many others having no issues whatsoever on the same version...

Seems this will be a really cool mod one day, but I've given up on trying it out until a more stable build is released. Hit Login and then see black screen - no crash, no error log, nada - like falling off the planet, minus the stars...

    Before anyone asks:

    1. Fresh & clean install in the default location, i.e. no mods or anything
    2. Modloader and Forge in the jar (tried Forge 3.0.1 and the newer build 90)
    3. Yes, META-Inf deleted
    4. Core & Textures in the jar
    5. Game and Guava in mods
    6. Java version 1.6.0_31
    7. Fail!

I've installed hundreds of mods and mod combinations and as near as I can remember never had anything happen like this with on a base (and fresh) install; usually only get this level of response for some major mod/block conflicts.
