Well, should he not have a job, yeah, he definitely could have done it by hand, entirely. It would take a crapton of time, and energy, and planning (like the original image it was based on), but yeah, doable.

I started with the Xbox version about 22 months ago...so I'm about half the poster, so somewhere around 132 years old! That's older than the oldest living human, for sure. Lovely, I'm an old Steve, but not as old as the ancient Steve's who have been around since before the American Revolution

Mar 14, 2015Disdonn posted a message on Speedrun World Record? Quite Possibly!Seriously wondering if he "looked ahead" on this seed first though. He "knew" where too many things were to have been doing it fresh out the gate with no prep. I did love watching it, don't get me wrong, it's just a lot of info not given about what he knew beforehand about the map (I mean, as far as how to get to the stronghold/end so fast). The technique to take down the end dragon was pretty nifty, though. I should try that myself sometime...using beds and bricks to explode him faster. Good speedrun, here's hoping nobody can beat that time...since I have no clue how they could.Posted in: News

Thanks for enjoying it dude, I try to share seeds that I think will be enjoyed.

See: Joker
There's a big desert that is mostly flat, so hopefully that helps, there's also some variety on the edges but if you wanna try that, hopefully it helps.

Seed: Ballast
Trees - ZERO! Not a one in the whole world, despite a few bigger mooshroom islands with regular grass, NOT A DAMN TREE!
So yeah, hardcore beast mode activated on that one. if anyone wants, good luck. I'll probably just do that as a creative seed for steampunk textured waterworld of pirates.

For one, the staff of Mojang, though they haven't been the fastest at getting out updates (well, to what a lot of people here think), they've done a damn good job for a small company to bring us a game that keeps giving new challenges, without having to give a sequel to give us "more". That's pretty damn good. The updates are logical, and sooner or later, with Microsoft's extra team helping, they'll probably get a decent schedule to updates to where we might get something nice every other month or at least once a quarter. So guys, thanks for all the hard work, no matter what some trolls say on here, we DO enjoy the game you helped get here, so ignore the bad eggs, please.
And Jens, you're amazing for taking over from Notch. When it was still somewhat simple of a game, you helped add code and details to something to make it even better than it was. Dude, you rule.
Notch, however, dude...you seem sad. Like, all this hate's been on you for so long, for NO REASON AT ALL. It's like, you created something, not expecting or anticipating the effect, and somehow people feel it's your job to uphold their standards of this piece of art, when it was not meant to be. You need a hug, man, and to be thanked, graciously, for sewing the seed that has become what this game is today. Love it or lump it, the game has so many different applications and we've only scratched the surface. There's a million and one things beyond the base original design that can be accomplished now, people are using it to teach school subjects and electricity. You started this, and you deserve our respect, not random people blaming you for bugs, glitches, or slow updates, etc. I don't blame you one bit for taking this as a chance to go leave and do what you feel will make you happy, because, after all, we all DESERVE that. I'm just one dude, I know, but hopefully other people will see that when all is said and done, you and Mojang are not to be hated on for any of this...they are just directing their own misplaced anger at an unfair world at things they can exact some sort of contact with. And that's not fair to you guys either.
That's all, I just wanted to say thanks, you guys are appreciated, and godspeed and good luck on your next projects, be them ones we'll see/play or not, just be happy.

Edit (since I forgot): Also, they're probably going to keep trying to get it on every system that exists, much like how Gates originally pushed for PC's in every home. Guess what, you got one now, don't you! So yeah, Microsoft can't be all bad if we actually have computers, thanks to them.
Honestly I feel bad, as an artist/creative person, for Notch. He seems like he didn't even WANT it to be as big as it is, because he never even considered anything he did to be that big/important. It got away from him, he was just tinkering and someone came by and was like "hey, this is awesome, I'mma tell all my friends" and suddenly a few years later everything he does is scrutinized and the only way out really is to sell everything he created off and go hide in tiny coding projects forevermore. Seriously, I've never been one to go on the hate train except when it's needed (like you know, with REAL CRIMINALS) so...if you want to blame anyone for the buyout, blame the trolls.

It's got a decent amount of trees, a lot of land mass, but the main things are that for a newer player, or someone who just wants easy access to the "big items" on the map, you spawn right next to a village, jungle temple (both within view when you spawn as you turn 360), and just below the village is a ravine/mineshaft under the ground that doesn't take too much digging to find (I dug since I heard a zombie from underground). Plus, the village ensures even hard-difficulty survival without starvation, from wheat and potatoes. There's not a lot of other villages on the map, and there is no desert temple, but it's still got a decent number of biomes.
What it has:
Jungle Temple
Village(s)
Mineshafts
Ravine
Decent Sized Stronghold
What it doesn't have:
Desert Temple
Mooshroom Biome

Actually I'm using that seed to build a hunger games arena above the spawn island. Because without any trees in the world, it lends itself to a nice terraforming arena for combat.

It's a LOT of rolling hills, a small patch of desert, jungle, and a decent sized forest. But it's the jungle that makes me like this one a little.
See, in the jungle, on the northern edge of the map, is this...
Yep, DESERT Temple in the JUNGLE...not only that, with a jungle tree sticking out of it, and it seems to be in a lake...I went inside, not a mirage. The thing is just like it should, only where it SHOULDN'T!
Just thought it was cool.

Ah, yeah, that's the lag I suffered mostly in my game. Don't dig down lol.

I really do enjoy all the cool little things we got this time. New plants makes gardening less boring, trading is FINALLY here . Temples give a bit of traps and chests to reward you for being careful. I'm just glad I don't have huge redstone machines to have broken like some others. But that was expected since the update slowed the time for the pistons so they could match the PC a bit better (I think).
Thanks, and we patiently wait for you to fix bugs and give us new/awesome stuff!
