No quick way to get XP from actually using a shovel on anything. You would need some type of mob farm or trade with villagers while it is equipped (Unequip any Mending Armor first!). Pretty sure you can even put mending on sheers if you wanted to. It's worth it.

Just finished the Mortal Kombat pixel art above the tower which sits directly above the End Portal. I plan on making a water elevator that goes to the top, then drops you down through the portal. I'll need to add slime blocks or water at the bottom. I'll have paintings viewable while you are falling/raising to represent each fight/stage.

Just finished my Old West Mexican Mission/Villa/Hacienda...not sure what to call it. Took me a while to get all the bells. Still need to populate with a few additional villagers. Already have 3 cured zombie villagers.

I beat the Wither Boss solo yesterday! I spawned it in The End. I hid under the portal shooting arrows until 50% health. The Endermen are a slight distraction but the fight was VERY tough! I used 4 buckets of Milk, 6 Health Potions, 2 Golden Apples and my one and only Enchanted Apple when the Wither was down to about 20% health. It was my last resort but had to eat it to survive. After the fight, almost all of the Obsidian Towers had been destroyed! I wish I got a screenshot of the aftermath. I now have my first and possibly only Beacon.

I finished building my Wild West Town. I built some gallows and the result was pretty hilarious. I was hoping to hang a zombie but you can't lead them. Might replace the horse with an Iron Golem in case PETA comes after me for animal abuse. I also have a skeleton horse I could use here.

I found the End Portal earlier this week. Yesterday I was on a mission to get just 7 more Ender Pearls to open the portal. I swear Endermen never spawn when you're looking for them. I ended up getting 6 pearls in probably 8 or 9 Minecraft nights. Hopefully I can get the last one tonight and kill the dragon and get my Elektra Wings. I can't play survival without those!

While I was out in the desert hunting Endermen, 4 zombie villagers spawned right in front of me! This is another mob that never seems to spawn when you're looking for them. Too bad I'm not ready for curing just yet.

I like it. Good shape. I made a nuclear mushroom cloud and I wish I made the top bigger as this is. Cool build.

Minecraft is one of the only games I have played for as many years as I have and still not bored. Granted I have not played in a few weeks since I have been playing RDR2 which I FINALLY beat last night. I've been looking forward to getting back on Minecraft.

My suggestion is to think big. Come up with some cool ideas and build it. Maybe make an entire town or village. Make a massive fighting arena. Make an amusement park or zoo.

Pixel Art is pretty simple, but in 'Survival' it can get pretty tricky. Especially when it is high in the sky. AND if it is snowing and at night and using black blocks. Wanted to share some of my survival pixel art builds. Share yours!

So, I don't know much about making Shaders. But i've noticed that Java edition has more and much better Shaders then Bedrock edition. I assume this is because Java edition has Mods like optifine that give support for these shaders. And since Render Dragon will support more advanced graphics, Will that allow the community to create more high quality shaders for Bedrock?

And i know there's RTX, But that's Window 10 Only. And my Computer isn't that powerful. I'm talking about better shaders for consoles like Xbox One.

There's more to do, build, see than ever.

If you barely played it before, sure, but any player that has actually put real time into the game can't really get that much more time out of the new updates we've had. There's only so many times you can squeeze more out of a game that only sees significant updates once yearly, and said updates can be explored in their entirety in 30 minutes or less.

Nice builds yourself. Cool catalogue. I play on java server. This build is on an active community survival java server. I did play bedrock for a long time but switched for better servers. I played solo for about a year before ever joining any communities. Its more exciting with others to see the builds and they end up getting you all the materials.

EDIT: Oh good, you can actually see the pokemon in my aquarium! Spawners are amazing things!

Yeah, as DB says, use Plotz for circular and elliptical profiles.

I built an underwater outpost quite early on in my world near the first main base. It was mostly squarish rooms connected by 3x3 corridors, although i did have an observation dome with toggleable lighting that was a hemisphere. There were two levels and you entered via mini "moon pools" in some of the upper level areas. Screenshot below:

Hard to take on Bedrock while flying! Almost went into the lava ravine.

Mostly gone with function + simplicity + beauty... nothing extravagant.

About the only thing I use without Mending is my bow which I would rather have Infinity on. With Unbreaking III it lasts a very long time, and after a few repairs when the cost gets too high, I just fish up another with Infinity and add what other enchants I need to it on the anvil.
