They should do with guardians what they did with witches, but to a lesser extent. Allow for them to very rarely spawn outside of the water temples in ocean biomes.
Leaving fishing the way it is. It's a nice change of pace when you've been spending most of the day building/mining and you just wanna kick back and relax a little. However that doesn't mean they can't add some sort of extra "particle" to water (small fish animations) that is less frequent than the bubbles. Just so it looks like there is more going on even though the only thing really out there are squid and guardians at temples.

The reason why you see at an angle, but not straight on is because everything is rendered in a giant box shape instead of a sphere (it is minecraft afterall). I do agree it is annoying and like you I wouldn't mind seeing this go or at least change the rendering from a box shape to a larger sphere, so it makes more sense.

There was another idea floating around here that mentioned some ambient sounds to the beaches. Perhaps each one of these beach types could have different sounds to go along with them.
Either way /support

Swamps need the sounds of crickets, though very subtle as that sound can get annoying quickly if done incorrectly. Bird sounds while in the jungle, etc.

The point is once you get it, you're far more powerful than everyone else. The rarity guarantees it. King of the mountain until someone else gets enough to match you. I think that once you hit the diamond tier any other variant needs to be equal to diamond, but with distinct advantages and disadvantages. Actually now that I think about it...
I would like to see 2 additional ores added to the game with similar rarities to diamond, but each found in the other dimensions. Then have all three have obvious advantages and disadvantages in a rock/paper/scissors kind of way. Diamond > {Nether Diamond} > {The End Diamond} > Diamond. This way, should Bob find enough {nether diamond} to make a full set, you can counter him by finding enough diamond to beat him. Then Tracey can go and find {the end diamond} to counter you.
Having other uses for new ores that people come up with is a nice touch, though. Some are good and others are bad (but probably only need a little tweaking).
There are always ideas for gear that is of a higher tier than diamond. It isn't needed. I'd like to see more creative uses for some of the stuff we already have in-game. Like obsidian scissors (better durability -or- yield...not both) and boats (for traveling across lava lakes/oceans). Sticky pistons that can release the items they push/pull (perhaps a new model that has a built-in comparator). Etc...

The only mob I respect more than the skeleton is the spider jockey. For obvious reasons.

I wish I kept that world. So far I've started new worlds after every major update and every so often I get nostalgic for the world I started on.

Rare? I have double-chests full of each type and I only play in a small area of the map. That's just from clearing out section of caves I've found to get ores. Nevermind the fact there is already a crafting recipe for these new stone types.

How about this: Sleeping in a bed during the day sets the day to night. That would be handy.

You're expecting someone to use this to jump short distances instead of using a continuous rail system. I think that the purpose of this new rail type is to allow you to overcome certain obstacles in the terrain like jumping across a ravine from y=23 to y=31 without creating some ugly spiral bridge. Maybe have your rail system end at the edge of a cliff and have it connected to a floating base nearby.
Think outside the box.
