They should do with guardians what they did with witches, but to a lesser extent. Allow for them to very rarely spawn outside of the water temples in ocean biomes.
Leaving fishing the way it is. It's a nice change of pace when you've been spending most of the day building/mining and you just wanna kick back and relax a little. However that doesn't mean they can't add some sort of extra "particle" to water (small fish animations) that is less frequent than the bubbles. Just so it looks like there is more going on even though the only thing really out there are squid and guardians at temples.

The idea posted in the OP, though...no support. It just doesn't 'feel' like something that belongs in minecraft. Most other first person games I might agree with, but not minecraft. Maybe using the side of a cliff as friction to slow your fall speed when falling a medium distance. That would make some sense to me, but not climbing up.

I like the idea, but question: As you add books, would the texture of the bookshelf change to show there are more/less books on the shelf as you add/remove them? I wouldn't think that would be hard to code considering comparators are able to tell how full a dispenser is.
Support.

Just tossing ideas out there. I support more wildlife (dangerous or not) in the desert. (I'd like to see scorpions and vultures out there, too)

Yeah I'm with you on that. I always felt that it'd be nice to be able to recycle or "salvage" from stuff you accidentally make or no longer need. Like no longer needing that half-stack of wooden steps. You should be able to use that to make wooden slabs, pressure plates, buttons, sticks, etc. Anything that's smaller than the block itself. No reverse-engineering it into a wooden log because that doesn't make sense.
I'd support a salvaging function to the crafting table or maybe a separate recycling block.

Well I don't know how I missed your post on the first page. I had since added images including a screenshot. I just edited the OP to add a note to the "mimics sand..." part to point to the spoiler tags where the screenshot is hidden.
The texture is a combination of the dirt and sand textures, so it looks a bit muddy. I'm still curious if there are other issues you have with the idea and what they are. I openly accept all criticism. How can I refine the idea without it?
Edit: Just added some new poll options.

The one thing I hate about jumping out of a minecart whether it's moving or stationary is that I always end up like 3-4 blocks away falling off of a ledge on an elevated rail system. Straight down...plop! This would at least make my death more entertaining!

As for waiting for MCP, same here. I wasn't planning to add your mod until MCP was updated. This new version of MC really did a number on the modding community!

With that in mind If this village were to spawn in the swamp and collide/connect with something that allowed for a break in the fences, the villagers would end up outside of the village without being able to get back and thus would eventually get slaughtered by zombies. Granted we've all seen villages spawn in some really horrible spots I'm sure, but something I just thought I'd point out.

Here's the scenerio:
PlayerA not paying attention steps into a quicksand pit. PlayerB sees this and happens to have a lead, but no fence post nor any wood to craft any.
Solution:
PlayerB, with lead in hand, right-clicks PlayerA allowing PlayerA to escape the quicksand pit the same way if using a lead on a fence post.
It would need to be coded, if possible, so you couldn't lasso your friends that aren't trapped in quicksand, though that would be entertaining for a few minutes.
Thoughts?

Thanks for the support, but what stuff don't you fully agree with?
