Hey Deretheni quick question, is this going to be a legit build world without item spawning or no?
It's survival, those in the clan will be the ones helping build the puzzles.
My Idea is basically the puzzles and feel of myst + the freedom of the elder scrolls series + the land of Wind Waker
it's very myst inspired in a sense that I'm trying to make the world with as little signage and direction as possible. You will have to solve the puzzles by actually thinking and writing down things that may seem important while also being able to establish a home and do the normal things of minecraft. I've written a storyline about the island, why it's there and a few other mysteries so you can follow it or just complete the giant puzzles and move on, as some do with the zelda series.
The server has been up for sometime now. Water level is at 48 to allow the building of massive structures. Those who join outside the clan will not have the option of helping build and developing the server. No item spawning unless you are helping in the building of something, if your playing within a town, you must gather the resources.
If the netgear router has multiple ports could you not use that to split the connection between the router and the airport. Once that is done, it maybe possible that the netgear router could be used to then redirect the traffic only down the port that the server is connected to...
now forgive me if I am wrong, but what I see of your current set-up there currently isn't a router or firewall in play and so unless the airport itself is doing that job, you don't actually have any port filtering place to begin with...
That's actually a pretty good idea, accept my dad's not quite willing to plug the Airport into the netgear, regardless of the ports. He already has the Airport set up (even screwed) into the wall so he can feed several things in and out of that. And yes, the Airport is doing the job as a firewall. Airports have a firewall built using both software and hardware. It's filtering the ports. I tried opening a port on the Airport using portmap but it didn't quite work....I would need to use the actual Airport utility to open the port.
But I can't do that because it will still be opening a port through a Airport, and he won't let me do that.
He doesn't want me to touch any connections he's running right now. I can only touch the wire from the modem to the Airport router.It's like an annoying riddle that has a simple solution you just can't quite figure it out....

I could just portforward the Airport, but my dad doesn't want any open ports on the network that are not plug n' play. So basically, I can't use that one. So now I'm left with the cord that comes out of the modem and a spare Netgear router. I need to somehow properly split the wire from the modem to the Netgear router and my dads Airport, so we have two networks but they're not connected to each other in anyway (Because I already know I can expand the network or create a new one by plugging in the Netgear to the Airport, but then I would still have to open a port on the Airport...exactly why I'm not plugging the server into the Airport in the first place...) ...and I don't really think that's possible but I'm going to post around a bit. If it's not, I'll just have to keep convincing my dad opening a port isn't going to do much as long as it's for minecraft and no other program is using the port.

Similar to minecraft, you could create worlds with train stations and such similar to sim city...only for children.

About 2 months ago I had a vision for a server. I wanted a server that combined both elements found in Wind Waker and The Elder Scrolls. For two months I've drawn plans, set up economy prices and built from scratch an island similar to what I had drawn and pictured. Sadly, I don't have the funding to run the Server on a prestigious machine...so I'm running if a off a laptop I dedicated to the server...but still its a laptop. Now that the server is all set up with plugins, islands, and all, it's somewhat of a let down. I was hoping if at the very least I could find a community of people that could point me in the right direction, however if you could support me as a Server Owner, I would be ecstatic.
If you want to visit the server for yourself, you'll need hamachi. If you don't feel like visiting, you can at least get a glimpse on the clan forum, Something I hope to fix in the next few day's...it's just I'm working with apple routers and windows machines...port forwarding is a bit more complicated.

Building the God head will just be downright fun. If you want to just build that, I think we should do it regardless. It would generate some hits on youtube.
You could try playing it like an adventure map. So set up the buildings and stuff and have them do the quest with different challenges. So it's Monty Python, with the same jokes played out, but you can put your own spin on it.

Hi there, first of all really really great job! Im new to MC but im studying computer sciences so i thought i would start with a nice redstone machine, then i came across your fantastic elevators...
I got a problem tho, i rebuilt your MK7+ from scratch with the provided schematics, on SP and MP and both are stuck the same, i just cant find the solution...tried it over and over again, always the same...im really frustrated atm...
Could you, or someone who got some time look into it? i will provide the save, my version is just left of the original one.
I do have a question. When I try to copy it to my world using MCedit, the elevator doesn't work. I press the button then hop inside, but all it does is make to trapdoors flip down and doesn't move. Is that a problem with MCedit, or am I doing something wrong, because I tried calling it from the top, but it did the same thing. Help please?
That's exactly what I was talking about. The problem is in the ground floor. It will drop a block down instead of going up until the redstone just activates the trap doors because that's all it can do...I used MCedit too so maybe it's a problem with copying? I didn't use copy air or water and lined it up perfectly several times. Get this, it seems to work better, or at least work, when it's above sea level...not quite sure why or how that could affect it. I gave up and just used a plugin lol.
