This doesn't seem to work with the Magic Launcher, keeps showing up saying that no mods are found, I'm trying to repackage it only to get crash reports. Does anyone know a successful way to make it work with the launcher?
It's possible it works with the launcher anyway. Have you tried with the 'no mods found' one? I've found that TerraFirmaCraft similarly declares its lack of mods when run through Magic Launcher, but still works when run.
Excuse me, blocky. You're linking to the tekkit wiki...
It's mildly inaccurate, since Technic actually uses the Transformers plugin for Industrialcraft, rather than the Power Converters Mod (I am uncertain why they changed it?). Throwing out link below, since I quite honestly am unfamiliar with this forum. http://forum.industrial-craft.net/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=5789
Heya! This is a very nice mod, although I'm incompetent enough with mods that it took me a while to get it running. Thank you for your work and effort
An idle thought/idea you might be interested in fiddling with if you haven't already: would it be possible to have the various stick varieties produce alternative fences/ladders/Et cetera? You could probably add effects to them, too, if you wanted. (Off the top of my head, a bone fence that repels livestock?)
Edit: Heh, I didn't know the forums had a custom title for 42 posts
A relatively simple suggestion that may or may not be difficult to program, I guess.
It would be nice if slabs oriented themselves in a manner similar to pistons, allowing you to apply them to ceilings and walls with the 'bottom' against whatever surface you placed the slab on.
This could be useful for people who want a more smooth appearance to their walls and ceilings.
I guess 'half walls' might cause pathing weirdness, so that might be a problem.
With some refinement, I could see this appearing in the game in one form or another.
1) A boss monster of some form, waiting at the center of a ruin, perhaps, in a large room to allow for maneuvering around it.
2) The prefix mobs Notch has mentioned are likely to go in at some point, although logically a flaming zombie would rather quickly become a skeleton... wait, 'logic'. Never mind that bit, then.
I guess it would make sense to be able to make a copy of a map.
I believe Notch intended to, actually, but I don't think he did...
So, maybe in a couple versions or something, I guess? In the meantime, hold on to backups and update them as needed, then store them somewhere safe.
But your character can carry tons of gold at once. That doesn't make sense either. Or flying blocks.
I guess that makes sense that it doesn't make sense. Logic and minecraft don't really mix that well, I suppose. :unsure.gif:
In addition, I guess maybe the basic wooden sign could have cloth of assorted colors crafted with it to have the area of the sign you write on be covered in cloth of that color, kind of like the painterly pack signs. Since this is already basically a thread about sign aesthetics anyway.
Mostly an aesthetic suggestion, but it would be a nice addition if signs could be made of more than just wood. Like iron, diamond, et cetera.
I would assume just the regular old wooden stick could be used for the base, and the recipe would be mostly unchanged. That, or sticks could exist of the other major materials too.
In addition, maybe using string/cloth/something, maybe signs could be hung from the ceiling?
Besides looking nice, these alternate material signs could be used to differentiate between signs at a distance, and I imagine a diamond sign could be used as a (bad) improvised weapon.
As an addendum, I think stone, if it's allowed to be a sign, should probably be limited to the 'hanging-on-a-wall' variant. I find it unlikely that the stick could support 6 stone blocks.
I've been waiting for this update to come...
...back.
Seriously, though, it'll be nice to have snow (back), and other weather too.
...
Do you suppose this could pave the way for natural (or otherwise :SSSS:) disasters occurring in the game?
Some sort of growing, climbable vine, perhaps... but, there would have to be something to ensure it does not obsolete ladders.
More varieties of plant in general would be nice, actually. Bushes and trees that actually grow food items/crafting ingredients of some sort/painful death spikes...
Something to make extended visits in no oxygen (read: for now, water) environments a possibility, and something to give said visits a point.
A way to have a controlled fire without bugs (campfire?)
Adding to that, maybe fire-based cooked foods of some sort. Makes a bit more sense than using a furnace that apparently burns hot enough to smelt iron.

What do the rest of you think?

Unfortunately, it appears to have lost connection for the moment.

Maybe have a craftable cape, so it's optional. That would mean setting one up for non-testers though, maybe something generic/boring looking...

They added snow biomes, so the biome code likely changed again.

Perhaps the cracked variant could be what results when you break them? Maybe with a percentage chance similar to flint or something.

Pre-post!Edit: Odd. okay, it appears we're called both. That's weird. Anyway, if you can't find one, use the other.
Anywho. I'm not that good at spleef, but I'll participate. Username is Deimos56. As you're aware.
