Do you actually got an IDEA of how much a RAM costs?

    ~40-50 USD for 4gig DDR3.

However, throwing more RAM will not fix this issue. There is a memory leak somewhere that will still appear if you have 4gig or 48gigs of ram.

You say it used to run a lot better? Did anything at all change? Driver update? Windows update? Anything, something had to change as memory leaks don't just appear in a system working normally? Did you add/remove a mod?

    Quick question,

What speed are you running your network card at 10/100/1000? (Not the speed of your ISP)

You're going to need to download an older ati driver.

Though, that might also be an issue.

Hopefully in before someone says port forwarding.

Does his server log show you as attempting to connect?

Nevermind, I just had to log in with a premium account to get all the files. I dont see why it has to be a premium account. Ugh, I wasted hours trying to fix this.

Because those files are for paying customers that purchased the game. Did you not buy it?

posted a message on Why does my Minecraft keep "crashing" (not solved yet)
First off to other people bringing their problems in. Don't thread crash. Your problem might not be related to the OPs.

    @OP

What java are you running? Do you have more than one version installed? Are you running vanilla MC? Mods or texture packs?

posted a message on Port Forwarding Minecraft
Also, don't trust software that tells you the port is closed. They sometimes don't work right.

The tried and true way should be for you to attempt connecting, or have your friend attempt connecting via external.

You'll need to find Name1 and correct it, or set it to forward correctly.

posted a message on Increasing FPS while screen capturing?
Fraps is doing realtime video encoding of your desktop as you play.

This is HIGHLY processor intensive for compression of the video. The best way may be to assign fraps to a specific core and minecraft/java to another core. However, it may not help, because I believe fraps is reading into the video stream directly which may also be hindering your performance.

I don't know enough details about fraps for sure, so some of this is educated guessing, other than it takes a lot of CPU to encode.

posted a message on I can't get on my server
The warning doesn't mean anything. All it means is instead of .1 seconds to process a tick, it may have taken .11 seconds.

It's not a huge issue, or even worth considering, unless your server log is spammed with it over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

    As for the connection issue.

Are there any errors in the server log at all other than the can't keep up?

It's possible your external IP, or your internal changed for some reason. Re-verify all those.

posted a message on 64 bit Java installation?
If you could only run on short with 32 bit, 64 bit isn't going to fix that issue. To fix that you need to upgrade your video card most likely.

what hamachi thing I don't see it

When I said that, he had his hamachi room and password posted.

    It was since removed.

@OP the hamachi interface should have it's own IP, he needs to use that one I believe. I don't typically use hamachi, so I'm guessing at this point.

    posted a message on 32bit
Download and install 32 bit java. As was said.

Who ever said you can't run 32 bit on 64 bit is incorrect. Current OS's setup has native support for 32 and 64 bit applications if the host OS is 64 bit.

Oh dear, please don't give out hamachi information in a forum.

Hamachi is a VPN, which means any firewalls or security you have are being bypassed and treating people like they are physically connected to your network. This means they have full access to you computer, shares, printers, etc, that you may not want random strangers to have access to.

    Quote from fu-fu

Well, after re-reading his first post, and looking at his pictures I noticed something: 128x128 texture pack. That would definitively increase ram usage. Also, What mods are installed, as they can also increase memory usage. But if you change you texture pack to the default, that will defiantly decrease ram usage and allow you to play longer.

I must be blind, no matter how many times I read it I can't find 128x128 texture pack or any pictures, are you sure you're in the right thread?

Also, later he mentioned it does it with vanilla and with optifine, so that rules out mods or texture packs.

I think this is a java issue.

posted a message on SERVER HELP
Undo everything that other post told you, it had nothing to do with the problem you mentioned. The problem was not port forwarding or the IP not being in the server.properties file.

    You said:
end of stream or something about a key please help

This is typically an authentication issue with the server trying to verify your user ID through Mojangs server. This is a known bug right now and can be worked around by trying to connect several times, if not 10 or more, in a row.

Another fix is you can put your server into offline mode, but this opens you up to griefing if you're not careful.
