I'm talking about the Charged Creeper 'trap' that does nothing whatsoever (unless that is not supposed to be a trap). Oh, and I've gone to that area after I ported the map to 1.8.
First of all, I liked the creepers, they provided an interesting challenge, and I was constantly being startled.
To your point about the charged creepers: I agree the trap could have been better, but I enjoyed it nonetheless, I just wish there was better loot though....

Thanks! I know the sort of abandoned mine thing is super common but I want to really try to just get something down to complete a whole map or minimap. I want to use the Max Health item modifier a lot. The added hearts should give me a longer progression because I don't have to use the next tier every time; I can just add more health.
EDIT 2: Then as for making it less rectangular, erm, this noob mapmaker could use some advice on that... I made this area in a giant stone cube, so.... yeh

I honestly think the block variation makes this look ugly, but I can't decide between lime/green clay for a grass color....

The walls are a bit bland and having a rectangle starting area is no fun =P Shoot I wish I could delete this post Still though, keep trying to make it less rectangular.

Make em just secret holes. Be sure to put them within a 24-144 range of the player. They work best being farther away than 24, yet as close to it as possible (23 won't work, 24 is ideal, 25 is less ideal, 26 is even less ideal, all the way down to 145 not working at all).

Hmm hay bales are good path blocks. I guess I could have a rule saying that you can't turn hay into wheat. Also here is one with brightness up:
