This just seems to be a general response. It's perfectly fine as long as the member provides details on why he/she supports or does not support an idea :)

This suggestions is missing quite a bit of detail on how it would be implemented into the base vanilla game. If you wish to re-create the thread with more detail you may do so.

Chameleonred5 posted a message on Feeding Fires

I suggest that if you throw a fuel item (wood, coal, blaze rods, etc.) into a fire, it will cause the fire to burn for as long as the fuel would burn in a furnace.

For example, coal burns in a furnace for 80 seconds. If you throw coal into a fire, the fire on that block will not burn out for 80 seconds. Throwing another coal in will not cause it to burn for 160 seconds, it will simply reset the time to 80. This will not prevent fire from consuming the block it's on and vanishing that way, but it will allow you to sustain fire on a non-consumable block like stone for a long period of time, provided you keep throwing fuel on.

I also suggest that throwing gunpowder into a fire will double the speed at which that fire spreads to adjacent blocks. It will happen only for the fire you throw the gunpowder into, not the fire that spreads because of it. Throwing more than one gunpowder into a fire will do nothing.

These two things can allow you to sustain an aesthetic fire for long periods of time without netherrack, clear a forest or jungle easier, or create traps. Droppers may get more use by automatically dispensing fuel or gunpowder for fires.

TheMasterCaver posted a message on What are the best armour enchantments for a full diamond set.

If you have Mending on an item you'll never have to worry about repairing it again - since it will repair itself using XP that you pick up while wearing or holding it; I recommend that you try to get it if you do not have it; probably the easiest and most reliable way is to breed villagers until you find a librarian who offers it (you do not need to trade with them as one of their initial offers is an enchanted book. You can unlock two more book trades though).

I'm assuming you are playing in 1.9 or later, as cost would be a real concern in older versions, especially in 1.7.10 and before; in those versions you can simply rename an item to keep the cost from increasing but you have to pay a high cost for the enchantments and durability, especially for diamond tools (most maxed-out items are impossible to ever repair).

Also, you can add the maximum number of compatible enchantments to any item, which is six (also the maximum number of times you can put an item through the anvil in 1.8+). For the lowest costs it is best to enchant an item on the table first (if in 1.8+ check the enchantments to ensure that you get Protection if that is what you want) and use books to add enchantments like Mending (you can't get this from the table, same for Frost Walker); if adding two or more books combine the books first (e.g. 3 books = combine two books, place the third on the item to be enchanted, then add the 2-enchantment book to the item. This will incur only 2 prior work penalty).

    Masterofjumping posted a message on RuneWars || RPG || Magic || Quests || Lore || Classes || 24/7 || Loot || No Whitelist!

RuneWars is a new RPG server that has re-opened in 2014. Unlike other servers our friendly team of staff are dedicated in bringing you the best possible experience. At the core of what we offer is a crafted land that gives you the opportunity to explore and discover; experience quests, learn stories, battle with magic, find loot, defeat bosses and most importantly... fight for your Caste.

Prove your worth to progress through the Caste which you represent and gain the ability to reach new plains and use new abilities. When you are a stout veteran who has fought many battles, you may even be asked to represent your Caste in the Rune Wars.

Which Caste will you choose? - Make your choice on: play.runewars.org

    Follow @RuneWars_RPG Follow @Shizaye

In the RuneWars world, there has been an age-long conflict that has shattered every balance of power. Only recently has several powers emerged, these powers are known as Castes. Each Caste offers a selection of abilities and perks that allow you to evolve your fighting. Upon first joining the server, you will be taken through the basic's and introduced to each Caste, at this point you will choose your Caste.

Once in a Caste you will only be the first rank, you still need to prove your worth to be rewarded with the next rank and more abilities. This is completed by having enough Quest Points and Money. Quest points are gained by completing the quests of the many people who inhabit this world. Money is earned through both quests and trading. Once you have enough, you will be able to trade these for the next rank.

    The ranks:
    • Convict: First rank of the server; your time as a hard-working labourer has ended and you must learn the ropes before being shipped out into the dangerous world.
    • Wanderer: Lacking a Caste to call home after your time imprisoned, you are wondering the world and learning of the battles and trials which the free must currently endure. It would be wise to choose a Caste by following the spawn quests. Cost: Free
    • Ranger | Trainee | Duellist: Your choice has been made, a Caste has accepted you into their ranks. Use your newly earned /kit, /spells and survival world to your advantage, in this rune conflict everything is changing. Cost: Free
    • Dusk Spy | Neophyte | Echo: Having impressed your Caste and paid their training fee, you now have access to new /spells and abilities. Cost: $20,000 and 15 Quest Points
    • Bane Hunter | Disciple | Reaver: New opportunities present themselves to those who explore, as you have quickly learnt. Once again learn further powerful /spells and access to permanent RPG plots. Cost: $50,000 and 40 Quest Points
    • Temporal | Deacon | Summoner: Dedication has proven that you do indeed have loyalty for your Caste, in return they reward you with a great honour; the right to fight for them in the rune battles. The twisted dimension awaits... Cost: $90,000 and 60 Quest Points
Staff Ranks - Obtainable through applications.
    • Mod: The first staff rank, responsible for keeping the chat clean and generally assisting players.
    • Admin: Generally assisting with more technical and serious issues than the previous staff rank, only those who have shown knowledge and dedication will attain this rank.
    • Owner/SrAdmin: Reserved for the owners of RuneWars, full access to the server and responsible for running the back-end stuff.
    • Content Leader: Lead designer and coordinator of server elements such as the RPG world regions and quests.
    • Content Dev: The workforce of builders and coders who are responsible for crafting the RPG world and other building elements.

StealthBravo posted a message on Abandoned Correctional Facility Exploration
A few weeks ago, I promised in mesh's topic that I would post photos of a trip to an abandoned prison by me. As promised, here they are! This is a humongous album, and it took a lot of camera batteries and time, so hopefully you like it!

    http://imgur.com/a/DBI9c

I posted this on Reddit as well, so if you're subscribed to any of the urban exploration subreddits, you may have seen this already.

LOCATION HISTORY AND BACKGROUND INFORMATION: This is an abandoned female (it used to be all male up until the mid 80s) correctional facility in southern Michigan. The facility opened in 1861. In 1919, the original facility was demolished and a new one was built. While construction was going on, the prison land was a farm, and prisoners slept in tents. By 1930, the new maximum security facility was completed. It operated as a male facility up until 1979 when it was sold to the MDOC and then went into a transition period where it was converted into a female facility. The female facility continued to operate, and was slated to receive a ton of renovations and a 400 bed expansion. In 2004, after lots of budget cuts and consolidation, the facility was shut down. Despite being shut down, power remained on for many years after closure. From what I can gather, the power was shut down in mid 2010. Guard patrols continued through late 2013, and then ceased when another female facility that was about 1/4 of a mile away (shut down in May 2009) was demolished. This other facility was completely undisturbed, but was much more heavily patrolled than this facility, so entry was basically impossible. Back to the original subject, the prison was not emptied completely, and had lots of state-owned property still sitting inside. However, the prison was regularly maintained until 2010, and the floors were mopped and the grounds maintained every week (as you can tell by all of the mop heads and cleaning supplies lying around. The power and everything was kept on for so long because there were plans of converting this and the other female facility into federal prisons, but those plans fell through. Regardless, the facility has remained pretty undisturbed and is very much intact, considering it's been closed for nearly a decade (the last official operating day was December 20, 2004, and office staff moved out in January).

RECENT ACTIVITY AROUND THE PROPERTY: I haven't seen anything going on at this facility in years. While heading up there 2 weeks ago, a lawn maintenance crew was there, and they were cutting down trees and doing general grounds maintenance. While doing this, a number of entry points were boarded up and locked up tight. The staff building doors were unlocked, and apparently, they had the keys, so it's all locked up now. I'm not sure why they suddenly decided to go there and do this, but I have some suspicions.

OTHER STUFF: All photos were taken with a Canon PowerShot A490.

PuyoDead posted a message on Current member title list
    Update:

With the recent forum software upgrade, the title system is a little bit different. For one, any title you unlock will be available for use from that point on. With that in mind, any hidden title you earn will be usable at any point, not just for the specific post count it shows for. That also means that when you get to that specific post count for a hidden title, it will stay beyond that post count, rather than revert back to the previous title. While we could have simply removed the hidden ranks due to the new system, we decided to keep them in place at the same post counts to unlock.

The update to post ranks is finally here! Sorry to take so long on that. It was a bit difficult trying to keep most of them the same, add new ones, and still keep things on a fairly steady title change scale. Oh, and laziness.

First off, Pig Tamer is not the final title anymore! In fact, it's just been flat out removed. It was placed there before because at the time, we only had one person even close to it. Now that so many are passed it, it's not really needed as a placeholder anymore. There are now far more ranks after 5000, and a few minor tweaks to some lower ranks. There's been a few new hidden ranks added as well. For now, we'll wait until people find them before added them to the spoiler'd list.

    Regular ranks
