Suggestions: 1. ore berries should spawn in nether, so they are a little bit harder to get: it makes the nether exploration more entertaining too.
2. Trees that grow from the ceiling (upside down) in the nether are very intriguing :3. Maybe the ghast one should behave like this. It should remember a tear (that falls).
Ice, Mycelium, Grass, and ores that drop items are what I use Silk Touch for.
I think that maybe a good recipe that keeps the tough-to-get quality but the in-game name quality too would be something like:
8 string around a gold nugget makes Gilded Cloth.
8 gilded cloths around an emerald makes a Silky Jewel.
The Silky Jewel can be used as a modifier to get Silk Touch.
It costs as much gold as a Golden Apple, a full stack of string, and the emerald, which can be tough to obtain if you can't find a village.
In real life and in minecraft logic molten obsidian equals to lava. In fact if you use water on lava you get obsidian. All the lava in minecraft is molten obsidian. In real life it can be basalt or other molten minerals. So: is it a good idea to change the molten obsidian mechanic?
I'm gonna leave responding to some of the posts on the thread already since I 'really' need to sleep, but I'm running test 2 of the SMP version of ID resolver. This is the basic version some people have suggested, so make sure to read.
First: This doesn't have any ID sync stuff. That's more or less impossible with current minecraft.
Second: This will need clients to install ID resolver, unless they set up the config to what ID resolver has already.
Third: This doesn't do ANY checking. The server won't check if the client has ID resolver (I don't think anyways...) and it won't make sure the IDs are set the same (yet, I'm implementing some stuff for that).
Now that that's out of the way...
To get this working, first you need ID resolver working on the client, like with SSP. Most people should already have that more or less working. After that, simply install ID resolver on the server. Same process, just copy the .jar into coremods. Note on the server it does NOT need guiapi. After that, copy the ID resolver config file to the server (config/IDResolverknownIDs.properties).
That's it. Let me know if there are any issues (And there might very well be this time around, even with SSP).
