A long serpent like creature with the ability to manipulate the space-time continuum at will. It appears as a long flying serpent, not that you ever see it's full body. It materializes portals with which it passes through, before leaping into yet another, leaving the rest of it's length to travel through the gap. It opens portals frequently, making it not uncommon for it to be in several places simultaneously. It attacks with it's large jaw, using it's portals to get close enough to bite the player, as well as anything else nearby, so long as it's tasty/threatening/both. It drops bose-einstein condensate, which allows the player to creat portals between one place and another.
The BTM build was a build made specially for Better Than Minecon, a.k.a BTM, which is basically Minecon on a minecraft server for modders. It basically just a build with a few things included that were in development, for the sake of the convention.
What I mean by "unecessary" is I don't see why not, but I also don't see why. The end has enough content as it is, in my opinion. Though another mob wouldn't be detrimental, why work on it when I could add something a bit more "necessary". Does that make sense?
I must admit to being confused as to how it's "unnecessary". Technically speaking, nothing in this mod is necessary. Even Minecraft itself is unnecessary. Certainly my idea is not exactly polished, but to say it's unnecessary is just confusing to me. Do you mean that it's not necessary in the End to improve the environment? Please elaborate.
What is the upper range of how big mobs can be with minecraft still handling them well?
When can we expect the Barakoa to finally be released fully (village, trading, drops, etc.)?
Mob: crystalspawn
Spawns in the end, randomly. While not aggressive, appears as a giant, floating, ender crystal. When it spots a player, it falls to the ground, the individual bits stop rotating, and it unfolds into a large four legged wolf like creature that rushes at the player. Occasionally it charges up a beam that, after a short delay, causes a creeper sized explosion. When defeated, it drops crystal shards, which can be used to create ender crystals that heal the player, or a weapon that fires the beam after a charge up time. Alternatively, perhaps they could be an ingredient required to create golems. Occasionally, when an ender crystal is destroyed, a crystalspawn will be created.
Are the spear and blowgun in the creative menu complete, and do the Baraka drop them yet? If they're not complete, what will they do?
Also, not sure if you're aware, but fire resistant renders you completely immune to both Barako's basic orbital strike attack, and his mouth laser, although the solar flare that he does for knock back works fine.
Can we get specific names for the attacks? It's annoying having to refer to them like this.
Isn't Barako flagged as a boss mob? Those shouldn't be available for Morphing. Not sure if the Wroughtnaut counts as a boss...
I believe what flags mobs as boss mobs is the boss bar. As neither the wroughtnaught or Barako have a boss bar, they are not registered as boss mobs, so you can morph into them. This also means that if a mod adds a custom boss bar, like orespawn does, its mobs do not count as bosses, and can be morphed into. This is also supported by the Witchery infernal infusion, which lets you take control of mobs, except for bosses. You are unable to take control of mobs with boss bars, even from other mods, as well as some mobs the author specifically made uncontrollable. Again, this does not apply to custom bars, so Orespawn bosses can be controlled.
Since Barako's attacks are based on the Sun will he be weaker at night or when it's raining?
Maybe when he uses his energy burst attack it does a lot of knockback to keep you away from inflict him damage and on range of his solar beam.
Barako is not weaker at night or when its raining, but in areas blocked off from the sky, he has more difficulty in attacking you. As for the energy burst, that is its main function already.
Is it just my imagination, or did Barako say "Mowzie"?
Also, found a slight bug. The barakoa that Barako spawn don't necessarily go after whatever Barako is. They just follow their normal AI. So, if a player was wearing a mask when they fought Barako, the barakoa wouldn't go after them. Same if a mob was attacking Barako, or vice versa.
Mowzie, I have a bit of a problem. Whenever I try to use that effect when I'm not using the full BTM pack, the number you gave me doesn't work. This is the same whether I use the version in the BTM pack or the version on the OP. Has the number changed, or is there something else I need? The only mods I'm using are NEI, CodeChickenCore, damage indicators, and this mod with all the dependencies. Perhaps an option in the config would help for the next update.
Don't forget to stop by my booth at the Better Than Minecon convention tomorrow!
Feed some foliaaths! Give the Wroughtnaut emotional support! Sit on Barako's lap and tell him what you want for Christmas! All this and more at the Mowzie's Mobs booth! Just head WEST of the big BTM sign! I'll be there starting around 11:00 am eastern time on Saturday.
Bring some sunblock...
I definitely plan on being there. See you tomorrow!

This reminds me of the old Foliaath texture bugs; you always needed to put out another update. Good times.

Will there be a Barako in every village, or will some be without?

I know that Primitive mobs has a mob that can be stood on; the Lily Lurker, or something like that, so it is possible.

Oh, okay. Thanks for clarifying.

For some reason, whenever my spiders spawn, they just fly off, all of them in the same direction. It's like theres a black hole in my world.

Ummm... Yes! This is awesome! Please tell me his mask does this. I will make a shrine to you in my room if you do that.
