That is some serious faulty logic. I would never use a Pig in a mine because even with the Carrot on a Stick, Pig riding has always been fairly useless to me. But if there is room I would totally use a Horse in a cave. Being able to jump places mobs can't reach, or over lava or any number of things. That just sounds useful.

Besides, very rarely do I ever use Minecarts in an actual mine, as some of the most efficient mine setups are so efficient that you don't need to even bother with a Minecart for transporting items. While I agree that Horse carts would not make the Minecart useless, your logic is broken.

As for the idea itself, It's neat, but I really don't see too much of a need for it.

You're right. This is much more for multiplayer. Or they can improve the villager AI.(Ride a horse?LOL)

    Hmm... How about:

    1. Do not add new carriages. Use minecarts instead.
    2. Do not make horses drag these. Use pigs instead.

There, now we add a use to both pigs and minecarts.

No, minecart can't be the carriage.
For number 2, I have an idea. How about we just let all passive mobs rideable? This maybe the soultion of it.

Id like just being able to leash minecarts to horses and have them pull the things around, maybe even tie several carts together for a wagon train, more carts possibly requiring more horses.

But minecarts were made by iron. Is that really possible to let a horse pull a minecart?

    No

Horses have made pigs useless and Minecarts next to useless (Expect for TNT Minecarts), if you add this then Minecarts will lose the only thing keeping them from not being useless, that is being able to hold multiple people, so if you add this you will just make them useless, and I hate it when items become that

Minecarts are no-man transport. They work fine even no one control anything. But carriage, you still need a man to ride on it.

And pig, I trying to think an idea that make them useful.

Since snapshot 13w16a came out, we have horses now. I had an idea since you can ride a pig. That is carriage. Yes, carriage. Horses or donkeys can add carriage on them. For maximum 4 peoples can ride on the carriage(Except for the rider). Just like in real life, you can have a car with 5 seats. Here is my concept image:

I don't mean it must be the minecart. Just a concept.

Yes, but isn't it easier to have someone do it for you as opposed to you making it yourself? And if I'm continuing his pack, how would I "redo" it?

I mean the shadow thing. You can't do it easily. I did try to make one before but fail. Since you want to continue it, I just hope you can do the best that I haven't seen. Btw, I glad you want to continue this pack. All words just for reminding.

Well, he replied me just 4 months ago.

He already told us how to make it ourselves. So if you want to continue it, you may need to redo the whole thing.

Btw, I have a high-end computer and it is laggy while using this texture pack. ( Just joking, I just need to add more rams to minecraft and it works fine for me :P )

Can you make another version that doesn't have extra items and create npc by using commands? I really don't like create an npc by using npc wand. I don't know if someone already suggest. so don't blame me.

    No. Just no.

Spawn eggs are a tool for creative mode only. They are not a resource, they are a tool. It's like suggesting the Command Block be craftable - it's just so that people who are just messing around on creative don't have to go looking for creepers for their traps.

    No support.

I just bring out the concept that can carry mobs around. Maybe it will have another suggestion better than me in the future.

I've never liked the idea of letting players have spawn eggs, let alone making them farmable. Spawn eggs have a lot of potential to be abused, even for non-griefing uses.

I can't give my support on this one. However... what if the hopper was used to collect fish? If the fish mob was ever implemented, that would seem plausible.

Maybe a hopper puts under water can collect fish!

    Quote from koopachris

    Let's see. 5% chance = 5 in 100. 5 divided by five = 1, 100 divided by 5 = 20.
In theory, you would need to lure 20 mobs into a hopper to get 1 spawn
egg. Of course, that's not exactly how it works practicaly, but those are still small odds.
Keep in mind that any creepers you placed would see you first and instantly gang
up on you, killing you and doing minimal structure damage.

Or make it lower, like 2%.

you could still hook a hopper up to a mob spawner and get unlimited eggs, because.......you know......you get unlimited mobs.

    no support

but it does sound interesting, would it be better as a mod?

    Sure, if someone does that.

It seems kind of OP. A player could go out at night and get a bunch of mobs to chase him, and fairly quickly gather spawn eggs.

Then, place in someones base and you have an instantly creeper-filled base, another griefing opportunity.

So I think spawn eggs should stay in Creative. I like the picture though.

Only 5% chance that a mob can falls into hopper and become spawn egg.
I forgot to mention that, sorry.
