When I saw you added the Vis Shards focus, I thought—
Omg.
He just did that.
I shouldn't really complain, since added this awesome focus (which I find hilarious), but the final upgrade, Persistsnt, doesn't work too well. In TC5, the projectiles go around corners and things. Yours get stuck running into walls and floors. Is it also possible to make them appear a bit brighter like in TC5?
@Dayyer can you please confirm this crash only happens with AT? I don't quite see it as we are currently not fiddeling with wand foci (upgrades)
I tried selecting a few other wand foci. Some worked, and others crashed my game. Thamic Horizons and Thaumic Bases foci made my game crash. What do you think I should do?
I already really enjoy the fortress blade inscriptions, but what if it was taken a step further?
If you've seen Gadomancy's Ethereal Familiars, then you'll know what I mean.
For Fortress Blades, what if there were more inscriptions that you could combine, like an inscription to inscrease damage, or to make charges charge faster, etc. Maybe the Volcanic and Taint inscriptions had a wider projectile, more like a wave, because right now their AoE isn't very big.
Thanks if you consider this idea, and thanks for taking your time to make this awesome mod.
I was actually going to make a faceplate that emitted the "eldritch screech," but I'm currently nowhere near that with my programming skills. I'm not sure what would trigger it, though. Maybe low health, a certain loss of health.
Thanks! Ill think about it, would be a *bit* over the top on vis discount... seeing as the cost is the loss of protection.
Although, the Shadow Fortress Cuirass already has 10 armor points, so when infusing the Voidmetal Goggles, drawbacks may not mean much... Can you just make everything more expensive? (No, please don't.)
Is it possible to make the Voidmetal Goggles of Revealing infuse-able with fortress helmets? I just thought about the 15% vis discount... I think it would definitely have to be more expensive, though.
If there were options in the next update to use either the TC5 aura system AND/OR (emphasis on the "AND/OR") the mechanics from TC4... That might be nice. I just know that I kept playing TC4, and still am, because I really do not the TC5 mechanics. (I'm sorry.) I hope in next versions it will change. I probably can't talk, because I haven't played with TC5 a lot, but the idea of draining auras and having taint appear from more places is what pushed me away from TC5.
A lot of mods have moved up from 1.7.10 (which, somewhat unfortunately, I'm still playing in) and authors have left them in the dust, while others are still working on 1.7.10 long after the most recent TC4 update. All these other mods are clashing because of old and new 1.7.10 mods. (Not due to TC4, though.)
This may all be gibberish, but what I've been told is; "stop using a 2+ year-old version of Minecraft if you want less screw-ups." But then I think, it wouldn't be much fun without Thaumcraft.
Plus, as of burning items to get just primals, I think the keeping compound aspects makes on items makes things more interesting. I'm imagining you'd put only primal aspects on items. Burning items to get essentia can be tedious, but to a tolerable point, which is fun. I think that having to burn items and then put them together would be TOO tedious, though.
I don't know if this has been brought up yet, but the Crimson Cloth Caps and the Crimson Cult Hood have the same crafting recipe. Just fyi, I know you're busy, or so I've read via forum.

But, when I added AT2, that's when my game started crashing. Are you sure?

I can't argue against that. It's your mod. (Considering I don't know what it did, I can't say I'm sad to see it go.)

I am French and offended.

Oh, plus... you might want to talk to jcm2606 because of wand-upgrading in his mod Thaumic Machina.
If you haven't tried it, it's very cool. I don't think it's being developed anymore, though.
It has infusion upgrades for any wand or stave; if you could make a way to upgrade all wands with the crystals in your mod.
If you could make ALL wands upgrade-able using the crystals... no explanation needed.
I always find making gear upgrade-able (is there a word for that?) really cool, like the foci manipulator.
That's my suggestion.
The mod looks great so far!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you guys have a crash... place? Like github?
Because I have one! ;D
It happened trying to select a focus.
I think.

*for some reason is still in 1.7.10 and is super envious of new features*
I can't really complain. ;-;

BTW, loving the new update!
