I plan on purchasing a plan on MC Pro Minecraft Host tonight

    # of players... very small 4 to 6 maximum

However we will be using the latest version of Forge for 1.7.10 and installing 3 mods

Glacticraft + Mekanisum + Dimensional Anchor (Immibis Mod )

Not totally sure which plan to get... my gut tells me no less than Stone ( 1 gig ) but with those particular Mods, not sure that is enough... I am open to suggestions. :)

jeeez i finnaly got a cow-horse, but get this: i breed a MO Creature horse with a VANILLA MC horse, i gave a gold carrot to the MC horse and a pumpking to the MO creatures horse, it works... however, NOWHERE on the internet i saw that...

you don't have to really feed the Vanilla horse at all, you wont find that either.

The "Cow horse" is overstated in far too many videos, it is a tier 4 horse you need. Either the Cow pattern black and white horse, or the Dalmatian horse, either one will do fine.

The only point to either of those 2 horses is the ability to tame a zebra, once you have a tame zebra, you can breed that to any horse and get a zorse

The problem is there are far too many videos where people are saying things that are not correct

I finally found the vanilla horses.

    I breed a T3 horse with a T1 and a T2.

    But I can't breed a T4 horse.

Is the breeding table still working?

Is there a new breeding table?

Cuz I don't know how the vanilla horses correspond to the T1 horses.

I use an all black Minecraft horse and an all white one, those are the only 2 vanilla horses you need

What is the importance of creating a test world? Basically I already have forge installed, but why should I go to 1.7.2 and create a test world? I already have worlds for my Minecraft.

The whole test world and starting with a clean version of Minecraft is confusing me. I can get other mods to work, so its not just mods in general.

Are you supposed to unzip the folders you get from downloading? My brother didn't unzip his and everything went fine, he says he didn't do anything different from what I did.

"sans-serif">It is something I do... probably not totally necessary
    "sans-serif">
"sans-serif">You have to run 1.7.2 from your own profile so the proper version of Minecraft is loaded to install forge, I go overboard and create a test world ( probably not needed ) but you do at least have to get to the screen that says Single Player or Multiplayer for 1.7.2 before you install forge.
    "sans-serif">
"sans-serif">If you install forge for 1.7.2 without 1.7.2 loaded, I would expect it to fail.
    "sans-serif">
"sans-serif">After installing forge I run a test world to make sure forge is loaded ( 3 mods )
    "sans-serif">
"sans-serif">I am just compulsive that way, but every time I install it... it works ( shrug )

It isnt a big deal to me to create a test world that I delete later.

Dove, if it makes you nervous, try it first without deleting .minecraft

The important point is to edit your profile to 1.7.2 and creating a test world before installing forge

You can change it back after you install forge.

I am only sugguesting you start with a fresh copy of minecraft in case something got messed up doing what you were doing before

Thank you, I will try that. Just a quick question because I don't want to screw anything up. How do you make a backup file of the .Minecraft? Is it just copying it somewhere, or something else?

Last thing I need is to mess up and loose Minecraft.

"sans-serif">exactly, I make a folder called minecraft backup and I just copy the .minecraft folder to it, maybe rename it and date it, whatever works for you.
    "sans-serif">
"sans-serif">Understand this wipes minecraft out, every world, every resource pack, even your login and password, it is like you just installed minecraft for the first time.

Not sure about the java version, and for a bit more information those red letters are in the mo' creatures thing that appears when you hit esc. The world loads perfectly, just no mobs but they spawn in with spawn eggs fine.

It might be java, or I just did something wrong I didn't realize..? I guess i'll wait and see if Bloodshot sees this and knows what is happening. Thanks for trying to help though.

I went home for lunch and thought about it and something I have not been saying struck me.

Lets get medieval on this problem and fix it, step by step instructions

If you are using any resource packs, open minecraft, open the folder and save them off somewhere.

If you ever log into server go to your server selections, edit each one and write down the IP address

The reason to do those 2 things is because what I am going to suggest will wipe everything out, also make sure you know your Minecraft login and password cause you are about to lose those from memory as well.

Go to windows search and type in %appdata% find the roaming folder, and inside make a backup copy of the .minecraft folder
After you made a backup, delete the .minecraft folder ( this will wipe out everything )

Now launch minecraft and log in, that will download 1.7.4 or whatever is the current version of minecraft.
Create a test world, and then log out

Now launch minecraft again and edit your profile to use version 1.7.2 ( because that is the version that Forge will edit ), it will download 1.7.2, create a test world ( fully creating a test world is an unnecessary step but I do it anyway )

    Log out, close minecraft

Run the forge installer suggested for version 1.7.2, install client

Run Minecraft and notice that there is now a Forge profile, It iwll ask you for your user name and password again, ignore that and hit the play button next to your user login name

Create a test world using the forge profile ( also probably unessesary but I do it anyway )

Log out of minecraft and close the program

Search in windows again for %appdata%, open roaming, open .minecraft and open the Mods folder
Copy the zip files for Mo Creatures and Custom Mob spawner to that folder

Close all your windows and launch Minecraft under the Forge profile

    That should work

( this is a fresh install of both Minecraft and Mo creatures, everything is wiped out, that is why you make a backup of .minecraft )

I tried this every time with a new world. I believe I have all the right downloads because I can spawn them in through creative mode, I just don't see them spawn naturally (or even vanilla Minecraft mobs). This is on my single player worlds, not servers btw.

I looked back in the posts a bit and found a user with similar problems. I also have the
    Help 1
    Help 2
    DISABLED
in all red text. Someone answered their comment with 1.7.2 GUI is WIP. If that is what I'm missing/need, what does it mean?

I've tried this with other mods and alone, but nothing seems to work. And thank you for taking the time and trying to help me with this.

No I never even installed the GUI at all, as I am running a server for a small group of players it was worthless to me anyway

That is really odd, I create a new sever every couple of weeks ( testing forge updates and Deve updates to Mo creatures ) I have never had any problem like that at all

I dont have anything in red text... you might have to wait for Bloodshot as I have no idea what that is. ( I am just trying to help, I am no expert )

are you running the latest and greatest 64bit version of Java?

I downloaded the mod (the 1.6 and 1.7 versions) both times I never got any mobs to spawn. I can spawn them in via creative mode but I've gone around the worlds many times and never once did one spawn naturally.

How can I fix this? I really wanted to be able to use this mod. also, if it involves that GUI thing, it says you don't need that to run it. If you do for some reason, where is the link to it?

"sans-serif">One way to test is to create a new world, not an existing one, did you do that? Are you running solo or a server?
    "sans-serif">
"sans-serif">3 things are required ( client side )
    "sans-serif">
"sans-serif">The correct version of forge installed ( for whichever version of Mo Creatures you are running ) to the client "sans-serif">and the correct versions of Mo Creatures and Custom Mob Spawner zip files in your Mods folder inside your .minecraft folder
    "sans-serif">
"sans-serif">I am probably telling you what you already know... but it has worked every time for me
    "sans-serif">
"sans-serif">Creating a server for Mo creatures is easy if you need help with that.
    "sans-serif">
"sans-serif">I dont know about other Mods, nor have I tried adding this to an existing world, but a fresh world with this mod is pretty easy

Bloodshot ( or anyone else )

On our server ( only Forge / Mo creatures / CMS ) mods installed

We occasionally have a player that logs out, and the next time they log in they are at the origional spawn point with all their stuff gone as if they died ( but had not died )

Looking at the Forge change logs I noticed an entry in Forge 1030 that may adress this issue

Is there a problem running Mo Creatures on 1030?

I am about to do testing tonight, but was interested in your input while I am supposed to be working ( but thinking about Minecraft )

p.s. I concur that Scorpion swords are worthless as they are now. Not a biggie but they are indeed not working properly

why is custom mob spawner marked as required while you can load a world just fine without it and the mo creature spawn?

ps I dinot install custom mnob spawner because last time it reuined any interaction you had with animals by making them despawn at random

"sans-serif">Yes you can run Mo Creatures without CMS ( mo creatures has a config fille for adjusting creatures )
    "sans-serif">
"sans-serif">CMS is strongly preferred ( probably what that should say ) because it has a LOT more options and configurations.
    "sans-serif">I personally run with CMS
    "sans-serif">
"sans-serif">I am not saying you should, do what works for you. I am only running Mo creatures and CMS and no other Mods, your mileage may vary.

When i try to look at an empty map the map crashes and all progress is lost.

That is fixed in the most recent versions ( revision 2 ) but both client and server have to be upgraded.

I dont think revision 2 is pointed to on this forum yet... Bloodshot?

So I have been trying over and over to make a server with mo creatures but the videos that are posted are either outdated or to confusing to follow HELP!
    P.S. I am playing on a mac D:

I cant speak for a Mac, but if it helps I can tell you how to do it on a PC ( must be similar )

    Download 3 files

Forge installer ( correct version )
Mo Creatures ( correct version )
Custom Mob Spawner ( correct version )

Create an empty folder - this is your server folder

Run the forge installer - select install server - hit the "..." and point it to the empty folder and hit install

Open that folder and run the Forge jar ( not the server jar ) that will create the folders you need

close the server and open the mods folder that just got created

Copy the zip files Mo Creatures and Custom mob spawner to that folder

Done... run the Forge jar file and you have created a Mo Creatures server

I do a couple of extra steps

I rename the Forge jar to Custom.jar

I create a bat file that runs Custom.jar on 2 gig of ram

Sorry if this has been stated in previous pages but how do I breed horses to get special horses like dark pegasus, nightmare, etc

"sans-serif">It will take some searching for information
    "sans-serif">
"sans-serif">First phase is breeding Mo Creatures horses and Minecraft Horses to get to a Tier 4 MO Creatures horse ( either the Dalmatian or the cow pattern ) black and white horse

"sans-serif">Give a flying bat horse an essence of light and you have a Pegasus ( you have to be above the cloud level and not riding it at the time )

"sans-serif">You will have to do some investigating, there is a chart that will help you out there that shows which horse breeding will get you to a Tier 4 horse, but the chart is outdated, the only Minecraft horses you really need are a black one, and a white one, the rest of what you need are all Mo Creatures horses.

    Need help here:

I have set easy breeding to true, but horses are only spawning copies of their parents no matter how many horses I spawn. Please help!

    River

I have never set easy breeding to true so I cant answer to that.
However with it not set to true, the result was about 50/50 that you would either get a copy of one of the parents, or the colt you were looking for between the two

We found it was just not all that difficult, all you really need in Minecraft horses is a black one, and a white one. If you have those two, it isn’t all that difficult to find Mo Creatures horses that will allow you to breed to a tier 4 horse in just a few cycles.
