    Quote from 12345olipop

The EnderDragon is not a hard fight. At all. Before you go into the End, set your spawn in a bed next to the portal. Also, take a set of basic stuff that you can store in a chest incase you die. But you probably won't die. Cause the EnderDragon is eZ. If you have good armor, the only threat is being killed by Enderman or getting thrown off the edge of the End by the dragon. Don't go near the edges.
    What you need to bring:
    • Prot I Iron Armor: You don't need Prot IV Diamond Armor.
    • A decent bow: At Least Power II or III. If you have an Infinity Bow, you can easily beat him.
    • Lots of Arrows: 2 stacks if you are a good shot, 3 if you aren't confident in your aim. If you have an Infinity Bow, ignore this.
    • Food: The EnderDragon fight is long and boring, so bring lots of food. Don't bother if you are on peaceful.
    • Snowballs: Snowballs are one of the most important items. They can take out towers, and keep the EnderDragon back. You should make a few snow golems while you are there so you always can get more snowballs.
    • A Water Bucket: One of the most useful items when fighting the EnderDragon. If you get some enderman angry, you can just place down the water and they will lose their aggression towards you. Another use for a water bucket is to MLG Water. This is a technique where you place down a water source right before you hit the ground, saving your life. This is a hard technique to master.
    • A Pickaxe. There is a chance you will spawn inside the island when you enter the End, so you will need a pickaxe to mine through the End Stone.
    • (Optional) Fishing Rod: Can be used to take out very small towers or to keep the dragon away.
    • (Optional) A Sword: This may seem like a must, but really, it's not. You will most likely be using a bow to do most things, like kill the dragon. A sword can be used if an enderman is angry at you, but water is a much easier way to take out the enderman,
    • (Optional) Pumpkin: You can put a pumpkin on your head to avoid enderman getting angry at you, but wearing a pumpkin blocks your view. You could use a resource pack where the pumpkin blur is removed, or don't use one at all. Like a real man.
    • (Optional) Ender Pearls: When you enter the End, there is a chance that you will spawn on a platform off the island, so if you bring ender pearls with you, you can just teleport to the main island.
    • (Optional) Blocks: In case you spawn off the island, you can quickly use blocks to bridge your way to the main island if you don't have any enderpearls.
    • (Optional) A Torch: Dont bring a piston to retrieve the dragon egg, just dig one block under the block the egg is on, place a torch there, and break the block that the egg is on. The egg will fall onto the torch and break, allowing you to retrieve your prize.
Thats basically it. The EnderDragon is really overrated. It is extremely easy if you bring the things I mentioned.
    Have fun destroying him.

    Thanks! I'll go with that!

I'm ready to go to The End and I was wondering what I was going to need for the Ender Dragon battle and the travel to the Stronghold. Just give me a list of everything that I will need in order to get me to the portal and have me definitely defeat the dragon. Any answers will be appreciated! Thanks!

You don't need to have cheats enables to write down coordinates.

You will need to explore the nether. You can use non-flammable blocks to make a path so you can find your way back. Use a block that isn't found in the nether and is easily visible. Such as, say, sand.

Alright. I'll do that since it's really all one can do. Thanks!

Do you have cheats enabled? If so you can write down the cords to your portal then travel to find a fortress.
I don't want to use cheats unless that's the only way.

Alright. I have a little bit of an issue. I just made a portal to go into the Nether and I went in it to find that there is no Blaze in sight. I searched not far from my portal and couldn't find a single one! Not even a fortress! So,my question is: How can I find a fortress or at least 4 Blazes without losing the location of my portal so I can go back? Any answers will be greatly appreciated! Thanks! :)
