It is a awesome game, but it is a shame it isn't released yet, also, if you are looking for some minecraft-esqueness, and dont mind it being an rts, Castle story is currently on kickstarter, it looks very good aswell.
There is also something called minerwars something something that is also a mining/war game, if you don't mind the occasional violence

I couldnt play it, those noises creep me out big time, though iI did find the water part 'funny' as I wasn't scared of something I an't see or hear at all, but those grunts are the most horrifying things ever, the noises they make and the music accompanied with it makes me want to sit in a corner and cry the whole time. My firend calls me a wuss, but he hasn't played the game yet at all...

It is like minecraft meets war, you collect gold and stuff, the terrain is fully destructible, and you get to build your own base at the start. It is pretty cool, but that is as much as I know that are not minecraft ripoffs


Also there is strabound, form the artist of terraria, Tiy, has made a game about expoling planets and stuff, it looks great!

I <3 Happy wheels, it is fun to watch those people get crushed/ripped/impalled and stuff. I play it allot!

Though it is a completely different game in its own way, I just feel like the creators of these minecraft INSPIRED(notice I didn't say ripoff/clone!) games need to improve on what is already there, rather than just add some new things. First thing that comes to mind is graphics, take fortresscraft for example, it has hd graphics, but does it fit very well, nope. in my opinion, they should focus more on making smaller voxels, rather than HD ones, take voxelstein for example.

It doesnt have hd graphics, but it does have smaller voxels, what do you prefer? Minecraft with HD blocks, or this?

Bit more advanced, as you can see, but unique, this is what will sell(by that I mean lots of money, notch-like even!).
The problem is no one is willing to undertake this, and rather stick with what is safe(sound familiar?)

Basically, what Im trying to say is, ditch the minecraft look all together, and do something like this, it is more original AND better in quality
Also don't give me the crap about computers can't handle it and stuff, they can easily handle voxelstein graphics, it is just a matter of being able to code better than a horses' ****.

PS:If someone would make a game that looked like the first one, I would give up my soul to him/her and be his/her eternal slave for infinity and beyond! As would most people probably

Minecraft+smaller voxels=good game
Minecraft+HD graphics and a few extra features=not so much

I am not trying to offend, Im just stating the facts.

As the above posters stated, it would be best to build your own. Though you dont have to actually build it yourself, Im sure there is some sort of shop in your area that could do that for you, just to show you how much money you can save, here is what you can get:

64-bit computer
8GB of ram
A quad core with around 4GHz
Top of the range graphics card(around 1G or more)
All other components(the casing and wiring ect)
Keyboard and mouse

All of that you can get for around $800-$1500, depending on the quality of your hardware.

PS:If you are going to get an 8GB ram, I recommend getting two 4GB instead of a single 8GB, it runs much faster!

Project zomboid, dunno why that isn't on the list, it is the essence of what a zombie survival game should be in my opinion. Graphics aren't 3d like arma, but they are great and the whole 'you most probably have to run' feel that the game has in the newer test builds is great fun

Nothing except the ambient cave sounds, they are so damn creepy. I always get the 'something bad is gonna happen' felling when I hear those sounds...

It would either be a Ultra modern house, where everything is slick and shiny, Located somewhere in a small forest type area, with a beautiful sparkling pool, great bar, 3 story's high, and at the top of the house, The master bedroom where the roof is made out of glass, so I vould stare at the night sky when Im lying in bed. Or a Rustic Castle styled home, Where the poison ivy leaves have grown all over, a nice little stream flowing past the house, everything made out of the finest wood and stone, all this located deep withing a jungle(Isolation is the best kind ation!).
It would have a nice little park outside, cobblestone roads, very old look.

Either one of those 2 would do just fine...

Also, if you quit smoking, never go back, NEVER, because once you do, it becomes even more addicting, people who quit and then started again tend to smoke around twice as much as they usually did, and find it harder to stop.
Also if you can't stand the constant urge to smoke, there is a device that can cure the addiction(some inhaler like thing), It is pretty expensive, but it is said to cure the body's desire for nicotine.

Let me see, besides project zomboid, the only other one i can think of is rogue survivor, it is a roguelike game, so it is turnbased, but i found it to be very fun.
There is also a texture pack for it that makes it more enjoyable, you can find it on their fan forums.

Some people really have problems with their kids buying M rated games? My parents didn't give half a **** when i played resident evil 1 when i was 5...

If you think you are mature enough to play MW3 then convince your parents that you are mature enough to do it. Besides, Skyrim has one pretty gruesome scene involving decapitation, if your parents don't mind you seeing that, i doubt they wouldn't let you buy COD.

PS: this cod is crap thing has gone too far, you guys are just following the mainstream, 90% of you probably haven't even played the game, so shut up. The only thing bad about it is it's horrible fanbase. No am am not a Cod fanboy, i prefer the battlefield series as well.

I almost did at the end of red dead redemption, god that was such a good game(not the final end, the end before the end, you will know what end i am talking about)
