As a hosting company we still see a strong demand for the game with a huge amounts of requests for hosting. However I agree there are too many platforms and they really messed everything up when they tried to prevent people from making money from the game.
Being able to make money from hosting a custom server with mods or plugins is something that keeps games alive. Look at games such as Counter strike source etc which had big communities and people would donate to help pay the bills.
I give it a few more years before it really dies off unless they make some great changes.

My system. Babies from breeder moved a long way from breeder, about 150 blocks. They all get dumped in a holding pen. Pick one up from the pen via minecart and take him to the secondary holding area about another 40 blocks away, just tobe on the safe side. Here I give him a trade. I also keep resetting the trade via breaking and replacing the job site until he has what I want. Then I trade once to lock the trades. From there he goes up a water elevator into the villager trading hall. Inthere, he’ll be in a 3x1 enclosure, with his jobsite directly in front of him. So a 2x1 walking space, plus the jobsite. Moving them one at a time in this way ensures they keep the jobsite you give them in the trading hall. And they need that 2 x 1 to reset trades each day.

I could tell you it's 6GB... Wouldn't necessarily be true though.
With shaders (chocapic13 V6 High) i'm running at about 120fps. It does drop a few hundred fps. We'll see when there's a lot of redstone there.

Shoddy company. Informed them of the issue with the PC last Friday. I contacted them today as I’d heard nothing. We’ve had a bank holiday in between, but that’s still a joke.
And they charge you 15p a minute for the privilege of calling them!
Anyway, PC going back for a refund now instead of a replacement, and I’ve taken my business elsewhere. Spent a little more cash this time and bought – i5-7400 with a GTx1060. Will arrive tomorrow and I can hopefully get on PC MC at last.
Annoying I’ve just found an amazing seed on PS4 with a massive Bryce mesa with 2 desert temples and 3 villages within 200 blocks of it. Also has an huge area of ice spikes. So think I’ll have to devote some time to this map as well.

As you can see i've only made a few posts, but i've been reading this forum like crazy for the last few months.
I'm a PS4 gamer that's become hooked on MC recently. My world have been starting to lag a lot recently since i've got into redstone a fair bit. My home laptop was due an upgrade, so i decide to take the plunge into PC MC. (i've never PC gamed)
I've bought a PC on a budget, spec as follows, it will arrive tomorrow:
Asus ROG G11CB-UK004T Core i5-6400 8GB, 2TB, GeForce GTX 950, DVD-RW Windows 10 64 bit Gaming Desktop
Looking for recommendations for essential mods, which version of MC to use, settings to make it run at good as possible.
The only thing i'm really keen on would be a nice natural shader.
I wont be running anything else on the PC at the same time as MC, so can free up as much memory as required.
i'm not completely lazy, i have been researching across the web, but there's such a minefield of info out there, I thought i'd start the thread to ask for some advice.
