Dec 2, 2011DaveSW posted a message on Notch Steps Down, Jeb Takes Lead Developer Position for MinecraftConsidering that Notch wants to expand Mojang, and make more than just one game, this is a good move. Notch is great, Jeb is great. Notch has a million things on his plate, Jeb for the most part only has to focus on Minecraft. This is a great move. I am very excited for all the new things that Minecraft will have.Posted in: News

Also, combining the two best nature/biomes mods is going to be AWESOME. I love them both very much, and the idea that they will play well with each other is very exciting.

I plan on redoing all my id numbers soon anyway, what with Thaumcraft 3 and Redpower getting released soon.
Question: Is sulpher part of the Forge ore database? I have 4 mods that add it, and I really don't want to have to use each of the 4 different sulphers just to craft everything that requires sulpher.

The config files are misleading though, they claim that the next 50 ids will be for each ore, but they ended up only using 10 each. This meant that I had to go and redo every item id, as I hate having all that empty space between each ore.
Anyway, I like collecting all the metals. So kudos for that.

I would also like to point out that the mod authors themselves are not being dicks about the lack of an API. They make do. The people that make idiotic claims against Mojang aren't even the people that would USE the API. The idiots hating on Mojang are leeches, they only care about being able to install their mods easier.
Guess what? That problem is now solved. Just use the FTB launcher or MultiMC.

Basically, in a vaccuum, everything falls at the same speed, unless it is the size of a planet, than it falls faster.

I think that what will happen is that all of Minecraft will get turned into modular plugins, so that the only difference between most mods and vanilla is who made it.
When this happens, it would change how Minecraft is played significantly enough that calling it Minecraft 2.0 wouldn't be unreasonable.

I won't be using them at all if they stay like this.

It is a mod pack. The creators of Tekkit took the mods of many people, WITHOUT permission, and combined them all. Really, I think this should sum it up:

Not only should Tekkit not have anything to do with Vanilla Minecraft, it should be shunned by the community as a whole. If you like mods, don't use something built by people that have no respect for mod authors.

I think it's both mixed in with 'Unearned sense of entitlement'.
