posted a message on Forgotten Nature [1.7.19] A Natural Addition to MC: Trees,Crops,Fruit,Flowers,etc...
I love this mod so much. Thank you Nightshade for all your hard work.

Also, combining the two best nature/biomes mods is going to be AWESOME. I love them both very much, and the idea that they will play well with each other is very exciting.

posted a message on Metallurgy - Putting the "Mine" back in "Minecraft"!
    Quote from RebelKeith

Saying it will use 50 ids is to leave room for anything we may add in the future, such as balkons weapons, armory, or anything else we may add. I would recommend not putting them all right next to each other or you will have problems in future updates.

I plan on redoing all my id numbers soon anyway, what with Thaumcraft 3 and Redpower getting released soon.
Question: Is sulpher part of the Forge ore database? I have 4 mods that add it, and I really don't want to have to use each of the 4 different sulphers just to craft everything that requires sulpher.

posted a message on Metallurgy - Putting the "Mine" back in "Minecraft"!
Ok, so I am adding this to my FTB modpack, and I want to keep everything consistant, so I will be using only the Metallurgy version of every ore.

The config files are misleading though, they claim that the next 50 ids will be for each ore, but they ended up only using 10 each. This meant that I had to go and redo every item id, as I hate having all that empty space between each ore.

Anyway, I like collecting all the metals. So kudos for that.

Umm, where is the config file? What am I doing wrong? It isn't where the config files usually are.

posted a message on Mod api is 1.4, right?
Can I just point out that Grumm, in his spare time, plays on a heavily modded closed server, with over a dozen mod authors, so that he can get a better understanding of what the API needs to do?
I would also like to point out that the mod authors themselves are not being dicks about the lack of an API. They make do. The people that make idiotic claims against Mojang aren't even the people that would USE the API. The idiots hating on Mojang are leeches, they only care about being able to install their mods easier.

Guess what? That problem is now solved. Just use the FTB launcher or MultiMC.

Before Dinnerbones brought this back, Creepers stopped being dangerous. Now chasms have a risk to go with the reward of tons of ores.

Is it at all possible to control whether or not vanilla ocean biomes will spawn? I looked in the config files, and Oceans weren't listed.

I love this mod. My one question, do the passive mobs ever despawn? My wife wants a pet squirrel, even if I can't tame it, I should be able to throw it in a Mystcraft portal and take it home.

posted a message on Has the speed of descent dropped in 1.4.3?
The only noticable thing that affects (effects?) falling speed IRL is wind resistence. While it is true that an object with greater mass has more gravitational pull, the force of gravity is so weak that the entire planet can't even pull the moon out of orbit. Somthing as miniscule as a person has such a weak gravitational pull that I am not even sure it can be measured.

Basically, in a vaccuum, everything falls at the same speed, unless it is the size of a planet, than it falls faster.

posted a message on After the mod API comes out...
They will keep updating until Minecraft no longer sells, or the API gets made, whatever happens last.

I think that what will happen is that all of Minecraft will get turned into modular plugins, so that the only difference between most mods and vanilla is who made it.
When this happens, it would change how Minecraft is played significantly enough that calling it Minecraft 2.0 wouldn't be unreasonable.

posted a message on Opinions about the cobblestone wall change in 1.4.3. Now jumpable
I could understand this change, if the walls were comlpetely solid when stacked, but they aren't. They look terrible stacked, and serve no point when they aren't stacked.

I won't be using them at all if they stay like this.

posted a message on Tekkit In minecraft 2.0?
    Tekkit is not a mod.
It is a mod pack. The creators of Tekkit took the mods of many people, WITHOUT permission, and combined them all. Really, I think this should sum it up:
    http://forum.feed-the-beast.com/index.php?threads/statement-re-technic-and-tekkit.5/

Not only should Tekkit not have anything to do with Vanilla Minecraft, it should be shunned by the community as a whole. If you like mods, don't use something built by people that have no respect for mod authors.

posted a message on Has the speed of descent dropped in 1.4.3?
If they changed it so that Steve doesn't keep speeding up indefinitly as he falls, then that has me hopeful that they will implement cubic chuncks soon. The biggest problem with cubic chuncks is that Steve could fall so fast that he falls faster than chuncks could load under him.

Is this a "Achievement Get: Hate Optional Things" post, or a lets complain about every single bug until 1.4.3 comes out post?

I think it's both mixed in with 'Unearned sense of entitlement'.

posted a message on Hurray... Cobblestone walls are jumpable in 1.4.3
I thought it wouldn't be jumpable, considering it behaves exactly like fences, and connects to wooden gates exactly like fences. I don't like this change, it means that I wont have any use for cobble walls.
