Anyway, I don't really see how this is a war mod... Honestly, other than the defense block you mentioned, it's really just an assortment of the type of things I could code -- very minimal, basic things that you can find all over the forum.

To improve the mod and its concept, you might consider the following:

• Put your thread in the right section.
• Practice coding some more, so that you're able to add things like auto-turrets for locale defense, or an artillery cannon.
• Have someone a bit more practiced in writing in English (as I sincerely hope that it's not your first language) write up your thread.

A chance to be part of the fan base of an underground artist, before he gets big? Now I can be a hipster! /ironic statement.

But in all seriousness, wow! You are very talented and I'm definitely going to listen to more. I wish you luck in your aspirations, count me as a fan! :smile.gif:

The universe is a baaaaaad place, filled with stars and galaxies and the like. What do stars look like? Fireballs.
What are fireballs? BAD.

I will now take my leave, after that incredible dosage of pure logic.

This is a post that's all about how I perceive the fourth dimension, and our universe. I state things factually for the sake of fluidity, but I know there are different ways of seeing things.

The skeleton of my theory

Think of a circle. A line that connects to itself. You live on the edge of that circle.

Now think of yourself as a one-dimensional being, who knows only two directions: forward and backward. You might not understand how one side of your world could connect to the other when they're going off in opposite directions; one is forward, one is backward. A two-dimensional being however, would be able to see how the lines connect. He can see the third direction in which the line is curved, making a circle.

The same can apply to a sphere. If I'm a two-dimensional being who lives on the surface of a sphere, I wouldn't understand how it could curve back around onto itself. I would assume that it went infinitely in the X and Y directions, or that it eventually came to an end. However, the real me, being a three-dimensional being, can see how it curves around because I am aware of the Z axis.

I apply the same logic to myself. I am a three-dimensional being living on the edge of a four-dimensional sphere. I think that if I kept traveling in one direction, I'd eventually come back to the same spot. I'd have no idea how, but I think it would happen. If I ever met a four-dimensional being, he'd probably know.

"The Big Bang"

The Big Bang (as it's commonly known as "the beginning of time") could be interpreted as the center of the four-dimensional sphere. It would occur at Time=0, and therefore, at 4D=0, since the fourth dimension is often called Time.

If we reduce the 4D value (and therefore reduce time), we exist on the surface of a smaller sphere, closer to when the Big Bang happened in the past. If we increase 4D (which is what we're always doing, since time seems to always move forward), just like how increasing the radius of a circle also increases the circumference, the sphere is larger, which stretches our 3D world.

So is the universe expanding infinitely, or does it connect back onto itself?

I say both. We can't travel fast enough to overcome the rate at which our world is expanding, so from our perspective, the world is infinitely expanding. However, if we could travel fast enough to exceed the rate at which 4D is increasing, we would eventually loop back to where we began.

Wormholes

When a worm eats a tunnel through the meat of an apple, he leaves two holes in the skin. As you already know, our perceivable world is that skin.



In the above diagram, if a person traveled through the wormhole from point A to point D, they will have teleported. If a person travels from point A to point B, they will have traveled "back in time". If a person travels from point C to D, they will have traveled "forward in time".

Regardless of the circumstance, all we see is something disappearing at one point and appearing somewhere else.

And that's about it. That's how I see things. I tried to explain it as best I could. I hope it makes sense (in terms of language, I mean) to everyone.

For those of you who cannot get the mod to run, go into your BTW config and look for a line that says "Darwinistic Inhibitor - true". If you change that line to "false", you should be able to proceed.

Maybe now you're ready to try actual music.

Uh...yeah.

Since your post is as good a time as any, I may as well take the opportunity to explain something here:

Back when this mod was less well-known, which would be before the Yogscast did their video on it, was the time I was having the most fun with it.

The mod had a small, intelligent, and loyal community around it whom I was in daily contact with. We had open conversations about the features being planned, and many great suggestions were made along the way that got included into the mod.

It was also when I was at my most productive and was turning out new and exciting features at a break-neck pace. I was excited and passionate and having a ball.

After the "incident" (to put it politely) following the Yogscast vid, a massive number of less than intelligent users suddenly found out about the mod, and the fun all but stopped. I'm not saying all Yogscast viewers are unintelligent...just that mass exposure will inevitably make you known to less intelligent people who wouldn't have gone looking for something on their own.

Suddenly, most of the communication I was getting from the community involved support-requests, bone headed ideas, and general whining. I'd say the majority of people using the mod were not even people I particularly liked anymore, and I slowly began to shutdown from the community at large.

This was not fun, and that's what popularity means to me. Honestly, in terms of productivity, I've been a shadow of my former self ever since that happened, and I know it. Sure, it's nice to be recognized for what you've done and all, but for the most part, I really couldn't care less about how popular the mod is. On the contrary, I've learned the hard way that popularity is a massive pain in the ass.

What I do care about is enjoying the process of making the mod, playing it, and sharing it with a small group of like-minded Minecraft players that really appreciate what it is that I'm doing. The rest can take a flying leap.

It really surprises me how many people assume that popularity is the end objective of modding. My guess would be high-school related ego issues or something.

Life outside Minecraft? What manner of witchcraft be this?
