    If a company simply removed all their DRM, piracy would go UP

    I don't actually think that this is true.

    I've never heard of somebody who was too lazy to pirate something, and the people making the cracks just view tougher DRM as a challenge.

    Obviously predominantly multi-player games are at reduced risk, and offering online service to only legitimate users is a great way to promote actual sales of your game, but I really like a lot of purely SP games, and I don't want to see them disappear from the market because they aren't economically viable.

    I only read the first two pages, so this has probably been addressed, and forgive me if it has (I won't be offended if no one reads this 'cause I'm repeating something =P), but:

    That's not true. There was a game a while back where the buyer decided how much it was worth: You could buy it for as little as a penny. People still pirated it. As far as I know, there was no DRM of any sort.

    And for another example: World of Goo. Cheap game, I believe? Absolutely no DRM of any sort. 80-90% of players pirated it. It's assumed that they pirated it precisely because it was so easy to pirate.

    Now, I don't like draconian DRMs or anything, 'cause those just punish the paying player, but, just wanted to point out that pirates aren't always these "rebels" just fighting back against DRMs. Sometimes they just suck.

    Two more quick things, which, again, may have already been addressed: Saying "I'm poor!" isn't an excuse, either. Piracy isn't the equivalent of stealing a loaf of bread to feed you and your starving family.

    And to the one person who said piracy wasn't theft or stealing because the person still had the copy- so, plagiarism isn't theft? If I steal your idea, you still have the idea, right? If you were supposed to pay for something, but you didn't, then that's stealing. There is no way around it.

    Yeah! I want to know people's reactions to the Herobrine-ness... particularly mine xP!

    I don't know if my person's actually played through mine yet, but, in case he/she has and doesn't get it: Part of it was inspired by "WAKE UP" Creepy Pasta, which was for some reason included in a Herobrine hoax (http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/User: ... /Herobrine). Hope the maze wasn't too hard ^^;

    Just beat this, with both records! Really good job with this =)! My only two criticisms would be a) the mine track area. Maybe it was just me, but all the mobs that spawned on "normal" difficulty were just annoying, so at this point I turned it to "peaceful". :cool.gif: The final building at the end was so dark it was frustrating. I really wish I could've had more torches , and not just get them at the very end.

    I can't comment on the story, because I am an idiot and didn't realize until the very final group of signs that I was supposed to read them horizontally, not vertically like it normally is for signs. I'm glad the confusing signs were my fault and not yours, though xP...

    So, yeah! Good job! It made me want to create my own Adventure map!

    Character History: Dagonet is a poor knight generally considered by his peers to be too dull to do anything but whack things with swords. His peers were more or less correct. He only knows how to do five things: Protect, explore, be gullible, and count.
