You guys don't have to worry about Xbox owners coming and making these forums awful, you people are already ****ing retarded. It can't get any worse than it already is so who cares?
And to be honest, how can any of you be retarded enough to think that Notch releasing Minecraft on a console will affect you in any way? At most it will bring an influx of new people to these forums and perhaps the PC side of Minecraft (because they would want to mod the game too) and they can't be any worse than you guys already are. It might even become a boon for you guys, in that some talented people might end up here and create something pretty cool mod-wise.
It being on a console is also a good thing because it will bring in extra revenue for Notch and that means he'll be able to hopefully continue coding and updating Minecraft well after it's release. He won't stop or slow down updating because of the console version since it's a separate group of people working on it, just as there's a separate group working on the mobile version.
Calm down, sit back and look at things rationally before you scream and gnash your teeth in nerdrage. You'll still be able to sit in your parent's basement playing Minecraft and picking Cheetos out of your neckbeard.

Okay, thanks for the tip!

Thanks for the reply! However, I was more wondering if the tools were possible to craft in survival mode (which you have confirmed they can be), and if so if you could tell me what the recipes were or where I could find them.

I'm really enjoying this mod a lot, thank you for all the work you've put into it CreativeMD! Is it creative-only, or can you craft the tools in survival mode as well? I looked for some recipes but couldn't find anything and was curious. It's fine if it's creative-only, I can just swap between creative and survival mode to use this mod.

I'd also recommend Mystcraft. If you've ever played Myst or Riven you'll understand how it all works pretty quickly, but a quick rundown is that you can create special books that describe an Age (a dimension) and then you can create books to travel back and forth between them. You can customize what sorts of biomes you'll find, weather, day/night cycles, colors of the sky and water and grass (I believe, it's been awhile), all sorts of stuff, plus create randomized dimensions as well. You can find out more on the mod's thread and homepage.

I'm using the Aether II and several mods (including Thaumcraft 4, Mystcraft, Dimensional Doors, Twilight Forest, and more) without any incompatibility at all. It may not directly support other mods, such as none of their blocks have Thaumcraft aspects, but that's okay.

So the hotfix won't update the mod to 1.6.4, it'll just fix the donations and remove capes and stuff? I'm fine with it either way, I just want to be certain I'm not misreading what you're saying

Wait, so there actually is an ETA on the hotfix? What about for the mutation update? Or is that still "When it's Done"?

Nope, the current version of the Minecraft launcher can do that for you now, no need for a mod anymore. When you first start it up, there should be a button labeled "edit profile." Click on that, then in the dropdown box labled "use version" select the version you want (such as 1.6.2). Click "save profile" at the bottom, then click "Play." Minecraft will take a few seconds to download all of the files needed to play the 1.6.2 version, and you can switch between versions whenever you'd like. If you use the Minecraft Forge installer after that, it will create another entry in the "use version" box (for example, I'm using "release 1.6.4-Forge9.11.1.953" which not only shows that I'm using 1.6.4 but that it's using the version of Forge 9.11.1.953) and you can select that too now.

Just with my current modded map, it's been a loooooooooooong time since I had a past Aether map. And thanks for the reply, I look forward to the eventual next release!

So if I'm not using the Aether mod currently (since I'm on 1.6.4 right now for other mods) then I probably could use it with my existing map?

I mentioned this over in the Aether mod thread, but designing content, modeling, texturing, animating, coding, and balancing mods is hard and time-consuming work and I greatly respect those of y'all that do so for our enjoyment. Especially since it's nearly always done in your free time with no compensation. Take all the time you guys want, we'll still be here.

I don't know if you were including me specifically or not, but my comments were entirely in jest. I really like the Aether mod and I respect it's creators. I also understand that they're doing it in their free time, and that designing content, modeling, texturing, coding, balancing, and everything else associated with creating mods is time-consuming work. I'm sure that the Aether mod team is doing everything as fast as they can without sacrificing quality, and because of that I'm willing to wait however long it takes.
I just wanted to poke fun at them and the pace development is taking is all.

No, see, I was making a joke that they're so slow that it will be another 2-3 years before this next update ever gets released.
Alas humor, much like a frog, dies when you dissect it.

So probably around late 2016? Q1 2017 at the latest?
