    > After 1.8 and Notch stopped developing, things got worse and worse

I really don't feel that way at all, honestly I think the last few updates Notch did were messy and really ruined the game. Since then I think the game has done nothing but improved. If nothing else performance now is considerably better than back then, and 1.13 added a massive amount of content both for creative and survival so I dunno.

Also I notice you don't see to like the updates that were aimed at creative mode, but just because you don't like those updates don't mean others don't like them. Personally those were some of my favorite updates as the game desperately needed more creative options in my opinion.

posted a message on When Did You Stop Liking Minecraft?

I still enjoy Minecraft and I think the latest updates have been going in the right direction. 1.13 looks great! But if I had to pick a bad update it would absolutely be the update or two leading up to the release. The last few updates Notch contributed to the game were terrrrrrible - it was so obvious he didn't care about developing the game anymore and just wanted to be done with it.

I don't know if this is the correct place for feedback or not, but the new textures are fantastic for the most part. The default textures are hideous and should've been replaced years ago.

A lot of these changes are LONG overdue, especially fixing the awful wool colors that Notch picked. Better late than never though. I hope they add stairs and slabs for all the new blocks too, and for the old ones that don't have stairs and slabs.

I'd just go with Space Engineers or Medieval Engineers instead. Its developers are much more technically competent and their product is already more polished than Minecraft despite still being in Early Access.

Sorry this post editor is extremely confusing, but thanks for suggesting Space Engineers, it's pretty fun. I'm not sure I'd call it polished though, it's very user unfriendly in its current state and many things in the game have nothing explaining how they work or what they do. I'm still having fun with it though. But yeah I dunno about Minecraft, ever since the beta 1.8 update its felt pretty downhill. I really wish they would just remove hunger and the weird combat changes, I liked Minecraft a lot more when it was simple and wasn't trying to bleed over into being an RPG or whatever. (Or maybe I'm just burnt out on Minecraft and looking at the old versions through nostalgia goggles)

"-I don't get many people sending me messages to update the pack anymore. You'd be the first one I can even recall from this year. I think 'tons' of fans is a bit blown out of proportion. I peaked several years ago."

I don't post here or send messages, but I basically stopped playing Minecraft when you stopped updating this pack. I understand that you're busy and have better things to do with your life, but you do still have fans even if they're not saying anything.

"-My talent for making Minecraft textures may currently be overstated."

I've yet to find a good replacement. Many of the high res packs that are around pay no attention to making sure that the textures play nice with each other, they just make super high res textures and that's it, nothing works together and it just ends up annoying me. Maybe I'm just picky though. The best replacement I've found is 'Lithos' but honestly it just doesn't do it for me the way Misa's Realistic did. (And yes I know this pack is being unofficially updated but it's not the same)

To be honest I've stopped playing entirely since this texture pack stopped being updated. I'm having a lot of trouble finding a good replacement, nothing else works exactly how I want for creative, and survival hasn't been fun for me since B1.8 released. I do like Chroma Hills though, but it wasn't anywhere near done the last time I played.

PS: I can't believe so many of my posts are going to saying the same things over and over.

    That's why I haven't been posting.

I think we all know Misa from her posts well enough to know that if she had something she wanted us to know about her health or whereabouts, she wouldn't send in some anonymous person claiming to be her RL friend whose profile doesn't even give their age, gender, or location to deliver the first information we've heard about her for 6 months.

I've reported your post and hope others will do the same.

Reported for what exactly? Are the minecraftforum admins gonna track this person down and verify that what they're saying is true?

posted a message on Misa's Realistic Texture Pack - 10 Year Anniversary (UPDATED 19 NOV 2020)

No body could take five months to move not even to a different country i am sad to say that maybe misa has abandoned the pack. But someone could take up her work and if nobody does then i guess all of us will have to move on. If anybody wants to i think she wouldn't mind.

There could be a million reasons why she either can't or doesn't want to post right now. At the end of the day, Minecraft isn't going to take priority over her life, if she has a lot going on that's going to be what she's focusing on. So yeah she may be moved, and have everything she technically needs to work on her pack, but even assuming she actually moved into a new place, she could have a lot of other stuff going on in her life right now. It could even be as simple as her not feeling like getting back into it right now. We don't know her, all we know is she worked very hard in her spare time to give us an amazing texture pack and if she was done with it she will tell us when shes able.

This is Misa's work, no one can use it for anything without HER permission, it doesn't matter if she's done working on it or not. I really can't believe some people are arguing about the legality of re-using her artwork and no one is even considering that it's just plain disrespectful to her, whether it's legal or not.

If you were Misa and you came back to this thread, months later, and saw this conversation, what would your reaction be? I doubt it would make you feel warm and fuzzy inside seeing people contemplating stealing your hard work. :x

I appreciate the effort, and I know you only just started, I just thought I'd point out some of the issues I have with it, kumasasa already mentioned most of mine but I already took the pictures anyway.

The dark oak planks look more like ceramic tiles than actual wood, it's a little too glossy and saturated I think.

I'm sure you were already aware of this..

The gray under the orange layer doesn't look too good, I noticed you just copied misas grass for the sides and the fact that it doesn't tile very well I assumed you were still working on the podzol. (I made the circle a little too big, oops)

All of the new plants look very out of place and have many stray white pixels... Some of them look like plastic too, especially the tulips.

if your talking about it being in what looks like Japanese then the problem is you set the writing to japanese

I was talking about the way the skybox ends, it's not like that in 1.6 so I assumed it wasn't meant to look like that. Also that's not Japanese, it's Chinese. -_-

I tend to have the opposite problem, the old cursor was pretty small, and sometimes got lost. Of course my screen is higher than average resolution, which makes a difference. We'll see what other feedback we get on it.

Yeah I think part of it is that I normally play with Minecraft in a tiny window while I do work or watch videos. If I played full screen I doubt I would even notice it.

This is the actual size of the window I play with, I'm sure I'll be the only one bothered by it, and it's no big deal, I can just change it myself after all. Thanks for the reply though, I really like your texture pack! ^^
