I don't care if they're just like zombies, that is awesome.

I like space, but how you get there would be problematic the way you put it. Maybe if you build a rocket or something in a magma pit and lift off, that may work. And the alien prefixes would make it seem too earthly... don't be afraid to dream a little bigger... try this: http://www.horrorblog.org/static/img/upload/dead_space_monster2.jpg.

posted a message on Aether Yeti Guardian [D.A. Mob Idea]
*Note, I know there is already a Yeti suggestion, but this is for the Aether. And sadly I do not have the skillz required to make a custom model, so use your imagination.*

    Name: Yeti
    Health: 20
    Attack 0
    Speed: 100% Player Speed.
    AI: Passive.
Drop: Snowballs (Common), Yeti Wool (Common), Yeti Scalp (Rare)
Spawning: In and around Temples in the Aether.
Rarity: Uncommon; Sometimes they're there and sometimes they're not.
Appearance: A tall, bipedal ape with a muscular body and white hair.
    Height: 4 Blocks.
    Role: Bouncers of the Temples.

    Behavior
[*:33xov0q4]Yetis wander around and in Aether temples.
[*:33xov0q4]If they see a player get within a few blocks of treasure and a Yeti notices, the will run up to them, wave its hands up in the air and roar at the player, causing them to fly backwards. Players should grab the treasure when a Yeti is not looking.
[*:33xov0q4]If the player attacks a Yeti in any way, the Yeti will give chase.
[*:33xov0q4]If said Yeti gets within melee range of the offending player, it will grab him/her, raise them above his head, and throw them a long distance away. This usually results in the player falling out of the Aether or on a distant island.
[*:33xov0q4]After throwing the offender, Yetis will stop attacking.
[*:33xov0q4]When chasing a player, Yetis will always take the shortest route.
[*:33xov0q4]Yetis will jump any distance over gaps in order to get to another island where an offender is.
[*:33xov0q4]Yetis forgive if the player leaves and comes back to the Aether.
[*:33xov0q4]I was thinking Yetis could throw snowballs at torches and flames to get rid of them, but it is not possible for fire to be in the Aether anyway.

    Drops
[*:33xov0q4]Snowballs: The most common loot, once killed a Yeti will always drop 1-8 of these upon death.
[*:33xov0q4]Yeti Wool: Yetis will drop Yeti Wool fairly often, 0-3 will drop each time, is used for crafting special items.
[*:33xov0q4]Yeti Scalp: The Yeti Scalp is a fairly rare drop, dropping only 5% of the time and only if the player kills the Yeti using a sword or axe. It can be immediately worn by the player as a helmet and is also used when crafting a Khadga.

    Craftable Items
Khadga: Also known as a fire sword, the Khadga is a craftable weapon that is inspired by Tibetan legends. The Khadga has the same use as any other sword, deals 5 damage, has 700 durability points, and any enemy that has been hit by the Khadga catches fire. The fiery ability will work well for you in the Overworld, but because fires can't start in the Aether, the fiery ability won't work there. Similarly, all current Nether mobs are immune to fire; the ability will still work, but it won't help you. This can be a difficult weapon to get, because of the challenge involved with hunting Yetis and the rarity of a Yeti Scalp drop.
    To craft one:

    :Iron: :|: :Iron:
    :log: :Iron: :Iron:
    -------------
    :|: = Gold Sword
    :log: = Yeti Scalp

Yeti Boots: Now you can wear one of the most popular styles in fashionable footwear in Minecraft! These boots, like any other footwear, will grant you 1.5 armor points; but they will also leave temporary footprints behind you when you walk on snow!
    To craft some:

Just as all of your other ideas, these beasties are epic. I also have some ideas of my own about the Cockitrice; spawns at night, has glowing yellow eyes, and used as an exclusive mount to Goblin villages. Also, what is this Aether you speak of?

Look at my siggie :smile.gif:, the getSatisfaction post also contains the link to the forum post here, but just in case you don't feel like bothering you can find it here.[/quote]

    Okay, thanks.

But do we really need a Sea Moa? I think these are good enough to give us a few year's worth of WIN.

Very interesting, has :Notch: talked about this at all, or are we just hoping the Aether will make it in at some point?
