posted a message on Official Bug Reporting
I also made a report which was summarily labeled as a duplicate (not even remotely like the so called duplicate issue) and even though I posted a response comment no one has responded... this was heavy handed and just rude.

    My post is https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-66775

As I said, this started 6 weeks ago... Also locally on the lan there is no issue... I honestly can't remember if it started when there was an update or randomly, however it seems there is an issue going through the router. I have tried 3 routers all with the same problem in the end. Direct connection to the net resolves it but is a pain. I think I may need to just put the server directly on the net and split the connection between it and the router. :sad.gif:

posted a message on Survival Multiplayer Server Lag
I have used 2 dir-655 extreme routers from d-link, and the qos is setup to put all data from that machine at the 50 priotity, my main gaming machine and my sons are set to 75 priority, and all other ips are set to force everything to 250 priority. I am also used an smc docsis 2.0 wiresless router/modem in one and the same result.... this just happened out of the blue about 6 weeks ago on a setup that was working perfectly. I've even disconnected all machines from the network and left only the server connected... and I mean physically disconnected, wireless inb the router disabled. same results... I've been pounding my head on this. when even a single person is on they get a very slow load, blocks do not drop for them for ages, deaths take sometimes 2 minutes to get through. I've even triued hosting a clean copy of minecraft on 2 other dedicated machines to resolve this, one was a liquid cooled i7 at 4.0ghz with 12gb of mushkin extreme redline series memory and an ssd, no change..... Any suggestions?

Actually I have the exact same issue, about 6 weeks ago it happened, all of a sudden over one night... 3 different routers, 2 cable modems... all the same issue... everything else works great but it seems to me like minecraft somehow has been added to a blacklist of heavy data usage for traffic shaping... which is just broken. Mind you, when I connect the server directly to the modem without any router it works fine... literally broke over one night after several weeks of perfection...

posted a message on Minecraft - java and mac players...
It has been confirmed that java will be on its way out on the next major update of macosx. Apple will no longer be having java support on mac's as of that date. I know you guys are set to keep the game in java but where does that leave all the mac players out there? with java becoming non-existant on mac's the game will essentially become a dead item to them unless a conversion to another fully compiled language is done. What is the official statement regarding this? I want to know before I invest in another 3 copies for my daughter and 2 friends. Thank-you.
