    If you ask me the Tinker's Construct mechanism of having fortune + auto smelting on tools doesn't have be removed in general. But it really should not work in cases where it causes an infinite resource exploit. If you think that's wrong... well, there's always Creative mode to play in.

    If you're running Railcraft: Open up the Railcraft config and set "block.hidden" to 0. That should fix any and all issues involving the Smeltery, pistons, trees, etc.

    Not sure how often you read this thread, but just thought of a simple suggestion for you.

    Instead of having an EU modifier, why not make it an Universal Electricity modifier, so that we are not restricted to having IC2 to power our tools. In addition, that might(?) make it so we can power the tools using our Modular Power Suits, which I atleast tend to use over IC2 armour anyways.

    I really like the auto-login, and auto-resize options it gives, makes things much more convenient.
