Hi Mdiyo, not sure where to put your bugs (there is nothing in the OP about that).

Im not sure if this is already an known bug or that its new to you. Your Hammer is able to clear out obsidianportals. (put a stone block next to it and you can just clear the portal.

If you want/need any more info just ask.

This is fixed in the dev build, and very well known.

    Hello.
Can somebody please provide some data on how parts affect tier 2 tools (like that actually affects power of hammer - head of plates)?
And also math behind two similar parts in one tool (two plates in hammer or two rods in sword) - how they affect tool stats? Is it average value between two or do their effects stacks?

You can take a look at the source code, but Mdiyo has not explained the exact math due to how complicated it is- He isn't exactly using simple math for the T2 tools durability.

    Mind blown.

There is also the option of using an AE system to fill your smeltery, use a fuzzy export bus and set it to place whatever ores you want to put in that smeltery (If you use a fuzzy export, it will check the ore dictionary for equivalent items, so if you have multiple versions of the same ore, you can set one of them in the export bus' GUI, and they'll all work, including the gravel ores)

Just wanted to say great mod mDiyo love the tools and everything. But I've noticed, don't know if it is intended or a bug but when i use a hammer with auto-smelt and fortune it doesn't work on any metal ores that the function usually does. I'm using version 1.3 in the FTB 1.5.2 beta pack so don't know if it is already fixed in the dev builds.

No, not a bug, mDiyo added some sort of hardness check to the tier 2 tools... They will only mine blocks of equal or lesser hardness to the block you initially mined. This was done to prevent the easy mining of obsidian exploit.

Were we comparing smelteries? Not hooked up yet as I haven't started my power system, but here's what I got:

The gold chest will become an ender chest later, and this will all be hooked up to an AE network and magma crucibles, and will process all compatible ores (except iron, I want the ferrous from iron...) separated so they won't make any allows. Easily expandable as much as I want, each currently does 9 ingots every 4.2 seconds, and is pulsed by immibis' redwire. No piping, just vanilla hoppers, the switch there turns off my timer so I can process tool parts as needed in the center basin (will probably add another one for turning off ore input).

So, I have 108 ingots worth of molten Iron in my smeltery, but for whatever reason, the faucets are not responding to redstone signals or right-clicking. Any way I can get my material back?

Have you tried reloading the world? I've noticed there is an occasional sync issue lately...

The Drawbridge is super duper WiP. I expected lots of bugs, but this... well, this is a problem that I shall spend all day fixing.

mercury19: In case you hadn't noticed, there's a lot of tools that have the same kinds of ideas as Balkon's weapons.

DarkSirrush: There's now a bucket of blood.

Rathan77: Blue slime bricks show up in creative. I'm not sure why NEI isn't picking them up.

    Zorin: Depth in simplicity.

JakesRandomness: ModLoader can go burn and die. Seriously, no one uses it any more because Forge does more or they want pure base mods.

ObsidianWalker: Glowstone Aggregator: Crystal Trap Factory.

zabigg: I've had problems getting the game to recognize mob drops as being on while still being able to work with MFR machines. We're on the 6th attempt.

Yeah, I was happy when I saw that they got added in dev 5... Also in dev 5, how do I make ingot casts? The stencil table is currently refusing, and I can't pour onto an ingot either. (using gold for the cast)

How do you make the drawbridge?

Go have a look at the very FIRST post. At the very top. I mean, the very top, the first thing you see.

Are hammers meant to be not available at the tool bench just yet? I need one to get rid of a lot of cobble, but there's no pattern button for them.

Have to get the tool forge, which is the tier 2 tool bench (crafted with 3 seared brick, 4 blocks of metal/gem, and a tool bench in this pattern):

    s s s s=seared brick
    b t b b=block of metal or gem
    b b t=tool station

All I wanted was a bucket of blood....

    http://pastebin.ca/2412360

Rightclicked an empty bucket on a seared glass partially full of blood, presumably enough to fill a bucket, as it did nothing on previous attempts.

EDIT: Oh, that's why! There isn't actually a bucket of blood listed in NEI... Now, time to delete that pesky glitched item from my player.dat so I can get back onto my world >.>

Just a small glitch I found, not sure how fixable it is, but thought I would report it (it burns the OCD!)

Redwire pokes through hollow covers (atleast when a freestanding wire is connected)

EDIT: Turns out freestanding wire doesn't send the pulse to my drains anyways >.>

Ok and that is one reason I asked about the cleaver as well.. It is written as Very High even though it is way slower than the broadsword and has the same base damage...

I believe the cleaver also has a high chance to behead enemies, though I don't know much about the tier 2 weapons still.

Also, mDiyo, I was wondering where the texture for the glowstone bricks is, as I wanted to recolor it to match my TP better, but that is the one texture I cannot find...

I'll just have to share this, this has so many possibilities ;)

No need for redstone timers, no need to setup blocks specifically... I love it :)

While that does work, it tends to lose some of the metal on occasion/not fill the tables properly (if you try to use multiple tables on 1 pipe especially).

the rapier's damage is wery low, its just he have not corrected it in the book yet.

The damage as written in the book is not based on raw damage output. The Rapier may not have the highest damage per hit, but you can easily hit an enemy multiple times before one of the other weapons hits once, as well as the fact the rapier ignores armour, so in PVP a rapier would win out against other weapons easily, even (I think) if the opponent had full quantum armour.

    Awesome gate :)

So which would be the lesser evil?
    1. Ask all other mods that in combination with TC offer an infinite resource exploit to change their mod and/or recipes.
    2. Disable the behavior in Tinker's Construct altogether.
    3. One exception in the code if a recipe is found on a blacklist that can grow for known exploits.
If you ask me 1 is the most slippery slope since it can potentially have the biggest impact. 2 is not very desirable since fortune + auto smelt in itself is a cool and useful feature. And 3 might mean that, after the initial change in Tinker's Construct, you may have to update a blacklist from time to time if and when new exploits are found.

And why should mDiyo do something to fix a problem with another mod author's mod, when THIS is their response to it?

2013-06-28 10:58:55 [INFO] [Minecraft-Client] [CHAT] Exploit Warning: Tinkers Construct adds Functionality, which causes many Blocks to duplicate drops, when being hit by a Tool, which has Luck and Autosmelt on it. Those Blocks include Stone, Potatoes, Wood, Cacti and Netherrack for example. mDiyo horribly failed to realize, that his 'Fortune-Autosmelt'-Function dupes ANYTHING, what can be smolten. Not just Ores, what would be understandable as Fortune is designed to work on Ores only, ANYTHING! I strongly recommend you, to bug mDiyo until he fixed his berserking exploit, before it gets more ridiculous, than this Message. And tell him to stop telling everyone that it's my fault as it is NOT. He introduced it without even looking at VANILLA Smelting Recipes, so he can't point at me for just adding some required smelting Recipes!

Also, I have NEVER seen such a rude error message about simple ID-conflicts, he even went so far as to remove the part of the error that actually TELLS us what id is conflicting...

Behold, my enemies, and quake in fear at the fate that awaits you!

In other news, if you toss items in they'll automatically get added to the Smeltery. Soon we won't need the Gui at all!

CBBBen: You probably can't name any tools outside of those dimensions either.

Damien_Darkside: Neat. Semi-automation machines for the Smeltery have always intrigued me.

InsaneJ: There is no easy way to detect what recipes involve positive feedback loops. Auto-Smelt simply pulls from the furnace list and does its thing with Fortune if it smelts into an item that isn't a block.

legoracer: I'm aware. You won't be able to quick-mine obsidian for long.

DawgOwnage: You have an item ID conflict. The next version will have the crash itself fixed, but you'll still have to change your IDs.

clarity2199: This mod plus the recovery addon is what you're looking for. Currently there's no armor, and weapons are simply tools that you use to fight. The tanks are part of the Smeltery.

Well then, that makes input for my automation way more fun.

Speaking of automation, I took a few screenshots of my own automated smeltery (re-made in my creative world, as I had an accident in my survival world and deleted it).

Sorry, you don't get to decide when we are or aren't allowed to have a civil discussion.

If you ask me the Tinker's Construct mechanism of having fortune + auto smelting on tools doesn't have be removed in general. But it really should not work in cases where it causes an infinite resource exploit. If you think that's wrong... well, there's always Creative mode to play in.

No, no, that statement just there is why he was trying to end the discussion, as you just tipped it out of the 'civil' territory, which is what Chronx was trying to avoid.

Now, let's just drop this before it es off mDiyo more than it already has, ok?
