Sorry but, making sticks out of saplings isnt realistic, neither is making wooden planks with sticks, you make sticks with wooden planks or take them from a tree
Yea with the falling thing, thats kind of stupid. Try having an option for all blocks to fall.
But still most people play games to escape reality
Thats why I envy the hunger bar

Githerax posted a message on Outrageous bans!I've never played an MC server (except my own), so I don't have any experiences in Minecraft, but I do have a humorous anecdote from a MUD I played years ago:Posted in: Discussion
It was a Godwar Dystopia MUD. For those unfamiliar, MUDs are text-based games. Godwar MUDs are 100% pvp; once your character has been on for 4 hours, you are open to full pvp by anybody, no matter how powerful. I had experience with these MUDs so I trained up quickly and was fairly well-prepared at 4 hours.
A feature of these MUDs is Artifact equipment; special, unique items that only drop once per server. The lucky player who finds it is the only owner of said equipment. They are highly powered and highly prized. But a bad admin/OP can be manipulative and give his character an over-powered Artifact, making him very difficult/impossible to defeat in pvp.
So I was fighting my way up the ranks and an admin's character was next on my list to kill. He had cheated himself in a very powerful sword; however, my character had an ability called 'stomp' that causes random pieces of equipment to either be removed or fall to the ground, depending. He knew I was coming and began attacking me, nearly killing me a few times because of how much damage his sword did. So in desperation I 'stomped', and sure enough he dropped his sword.
I saw it drop and picked it up before he could react :wink.gif:
I equipped it and proceeded to kill him. I was immediately banned :biggrin.gif:
The lesson I learned (?) is 'never kill a game admin's cheating pvp character'. -

A_Blind_Moron posted a message on Grief TacticsPosted in: Survival ModeQuote from Prince Albert
However I also don't get why people still play on public servers. It seems the best defense against griefers is not being seen or not playing online at all. I randomly check the screenshot section and really REALLY enjoy what people or groups are people are able to create. Maybe the real mean griefers are just sad, that their are not able to create something that awesome themselves ...
True, the best defense against griefing is not being found. As a griefer myself, I can confidently say that I've never destroyed a base I haven't seen.
However, I disagree with the (popular?) notion that griefers only destroy because they cannot create. I destroy because I am TIRED of creating. Survival mode is too easy, too mundane at times. And why should I play SMP? To survive? I can do that in Single Player, where nobody can even interfere with me. In SMP I become the ultimate enemy; one with logic. The monster you actually have to use advanced tactics to defeat. Griefers add a layer of challenge to SMP. If only the rest of the community thought the way we griefers do.
But no.
You bastards blur the line between creative and survival, and you get butthurt when someone burns down your wooden shack. 50+ anti-grief plugins later, the game is raped of every game mechanic that made it fun.
If you want to build, do NOT call your server survival. If you want to survive... prepare for competition. - To post a comment, please login.
