Version 1.7 of TYNKYN is finally here. I know I was supposed to have it out a while ago but there were a lot of things that needed fixing. This version sees the addition of a guidebook that contains all the information about TYNKYN that you could ever want. Elementurtles and Truffle Elves are now tamable and Truffle Elves have a nifty feature that makes them change their costume based on the name you give them (There are currently 50 names all of which are listed in the guidebook). I also made improvements to the Enchanting system that makes it super easy to set up an obelisk and also to set up the enchantment you want. Again, this information is in the guidebook. All the changes for this version can be found in the Changelog section of the guidebook or on the wiki in the Changelog section. Because of the addition of the guidebook, I will not likely be keeping the wiki up to date as it takes too much time. I will at least update the downloads and Changelog on the site. Alright, everyone, have fun with it and God bless.

    My first crash :(

Happened every time I loaded into a particular mystcraft age. There's a sea of some pinkish fluid that I'm thinking is one of your alchemy waters.
    Crash Report
    Open Eye Report

I'll post up some more of my world when I can get a gallery put together.

I replicated the bug. So, I'm not sure if you know this but the way all the alchemy/brewing liquids from TYNKYN work is if you try to pick them up with a bucket or if there is not iron on all side, except the top, they turn into normal water. Now you see if you have a large space of one of these liquids things, as you would expect, go very bad. I will ask XComp if there is a way to blacklist specific blocks but if not, there is a config for mystcraft. You would need to turn off the pages for all 9 liquids (purified water, wart water, wart water enriched, wart water thickened, wart water volatile, blackened compound, whitened compound, yellowed compound, and reddened compound) in the symbols config and mark them all as "seabanned" in the core config. Unfortunately, I think you are going to lose that age.

Edit: Okay, I fixed the issue. TYNKYN fluids are now blacklisted. I just have one more big project I'm finishing and then I can finally get all those bug fixes (and new features) out :)

Anything to help polish an amazing mod. I could probably make a pack solely out of your mod, extra utilities and open blocks. :)

Edit: Figure I'd share my alchemy area, I'm pretty proud of it. LOVE the mechanic!

Wow those are some very nice comments :) I'm trying to see if I can figure that oreDictionary problem out.

Gasp! lol that looks so cool. I never imagined the alchemy area to be anything more than a hole in then ground. Feel free to share more of your world. I'd love to see it. (That goes for anyone, by the way)

    HI!

Got something involving compatibility: I have railcraft and thermal expansion installed. From these two mods I have plenty of sulfur, so I turned your sulfur gen off. When attempting to use railcraft sulfur in alchemy it just sat at the bottom and did nothing. I had to cheat in your sulfur to get it to work.

On the flip-side, charcoal powder is useful to other mods and produced at a 1:1 ratio. Your powder is required (ie. I can't use IC2 charcoal dust or TE4 pulverized charcoal) for alchemical purposes and is produced 2:1. So I can use your recipe to double my output for ground up charcoal. I'd recommend changing the recipe or adding a slot to your stone cutter than grinds charcoal into powder on a 1:1.

Thanks a ton for putting up with my constant reporting, but I swear you're going to get sick of me one day :P

Yeah the alchemy stuff looks at specific item stacks. I know there is a way to use the ore dictionary for that but I haven't figured it out quite yet. I love that you are reporting these things :) I won't get sick of it.

I have had a fairly popular modpack (Hexplore-It) in rotation since 1.5.2 that I am currently working on a 1.7.10 version of. I would like to add this modpack to the FTB launcher, and possibly the ATLauncher this time around and will need to provide permissions for all included mods.

I love, love, LOVE your mod and it adds perfectly to my pack that focuses on exploration, with many NPCs in the world.

I would like to ask you if I could I have your permission to add TYNKYN to my upcoming public modpack?

You will be credited accordingly of course. Also if you have a donation site (paypal/patron) I will link to that on my webpage.

Thank you for all of your hard work!

Sounds awesome :) You have my permission. There are a few bugs that may cause conflict at the moment but I am working on them now so hopefully in a few days all of that will be sorted out. I think the last bug I need to fix is TYNKYN ores not spawning in MystCraft ages.

Sorry to add to your list of things, but I've now found that none of the things from your mod besides mobs spawn in mystcraft ages.

I have a desert mining age and have dug out 4 chunks: No talc, no dust, no colored rocks and no bonus stone.

Hmm. Interesting find. Thank you for letting me know. No worries on adding to the list. I'm glad you are telling me. :)

Sorry I've not put out the new update yet everyone. I was doing final testing and realized how insanely overpowered the sledgehammer is. I am working out one last issue with that and then there will be an update. Sorry for the delay.

I have an issue with the Graze: Are they supposed to spawn in low light? My base is generally well lit, but in a few darker (LL 8/9) corners they will spawn in. Early game, this is devastating as they hit like a truck on leather / no armor.

Also, I thought they only spawned in plains, but I'm getting them in a Taiga biome.

Wow, that does sound terrible. I've been busy with other things so I haven't really been playing all that much. I will look into this and try to have that fixed before the update tonight/tomorrow.

I have fixed the issue with the step assist conflicts as well as some other bugs and added a few new things. They need to be polished but I hope to have a new version ready before the end of the weekend.

    Love this mod!

One suggestion for a future update: Make a variety of sub-flooring with a space for tiles above AND below. Would be great between levels of a building!

Thank you for the feedback :) I actually have been wanting to do that and been wanting to add a similar block for walls but both involve a lot of complicated math I haven't figured out though haha. I also wanted to have it so the subflooring texture could be changed as well. At the moment though, both concepts are a bit out of my capabilities as a modder. Also, are you the same chefbarbie from twitter? I'm guessing so. Anyway, I am still looking into the block stepping functionality conflicting with other mods.

Version 1.6 of TYNKYN is ready to be released into the wild. This update is more focused on fixing things than adding new things but there are some new features such as a Sledgehammer and the TYNKYN villagers now each have their own unique homes. Enjoy!

If you have already used TYNKYN before make sure to delete the old config file.

Could you also add in that config option to turn off all world generation? Awesome mod bud, keep it up!

I plan on it :) I have had a change of heart and plan to make more things configurable.

I've been quiet up until now, just checking out your Mod and after playing with it for several hours I wanted to say thank you for this Mod and thank you for all your hard work. Your Mod has brought much needed life and Decor into my World and you hold a great skill for creating things. I can't make Mods myself so I like to let Mod Makers know how appreciated, respected and skilled I think they are. I used the stuff from your Mod to do over a Town and really enjoyed it. :-)

Wow, I can't believe I missed your message. I truly am sorry. You message brought a smile to my face. I have decided to start working on TYNKYN again but had I seen your message I never would have contemplated quitting. Thank you very much for your kind words. I would love to see some screenshots of your world and hear any suggestions you have for improving this mod :) Thank you again for the kind words. God bless.
