    posted a message on Problems with villagers

    The absolute most fail-safe way to create a trading hall is to have the villager locked in with their bed and crafting station. Make a complete block casing around their bed, leave one block in the front, then put the crafting station in front of that empty block. and seal up the sides. It should look like this:

    XXX

    XBX

    XBX

    XEX

    -W

    X=block

    B=bed

    E=empty tile

    W=workstation

    Leave a one-block layer of air on top of those, then add a roof so the villager can't jump out of that. I have had a trading hall with 80+ villagers locked in this format and they never break unless someone sleeps in a bed by accident and rips a villager out of it, in which case a glitch can sometimes happen where the villager can't claim the bed back for a very long time.

    posted a message on How should I make my nether base?

    You could try copying the style of some Fire Nation buildings from Avatar: The Last Airbender. The update is going to be introducing tons of (far overdue) quality black blocks, stairs, and slabs to build with, so it's the perfect time to give it a go, not to mention a Fire Nation palace in the Nether is hilariously on the nose.

    I plan to do this as well, probably in the new volcanic ash biome.

    posted a message on Villagers wont breed

    There are currently a whole host of bugs involving villagers that stop them from functioning properly. I have a village with about 80 villagers in a realm, and they will be completely unable to claim workstations or beds (and that also means no breeding) for at least a week at a time, then occasionally they'll all decide to get over their issues like magic and function like normal for a day or so before losing that ability again, so once they are in the mood to claim stations, you need to get their bed and station lined up in a cell and lock them there ASAP. They NEVER break once they're set up like this:

    X = wall
    B = bed
    W = workstation

    S = standing spot

    posted a message on Is it actually possible to build a blaze farm in survival?

    Just have it nearby. You can trade 20 slices to each villager for their base price every second day for 5 emeralds per villager. It sounds like a lot, but melon slices are produced so quickly by the auto farm that all you have to do is not trade for a couple of days to get ahead of the curve. Pumpkins and especially eggs are another story though.

    It's very good for exp. I can repair a tool from almost 0 to full with only about 25 farmers, I believe.

    Not a blaze farm, no, because I can't imagine actually needing anywhere close to that number of blaze rods and there's far easier ways to get exp. A blaze farm design exists just because it can, it's not actually worth doing. You could just make a big village full of farmers and an auto melon farm to get exp far faster and easier while also making tons of emeralds, to say nothing of what you could get by adding a pumpkin and egg farm to it.

    posted a message on [Survival-Hard] New Realm - LFM

    Alright, I'm just going to put this out here. Titan has had to remove SEVERAL people recently within mere minutes/an hour of them joining the server.

    If you have ANY interest in mods or chaos of any sort like 2B2T, just don't even bother wasting Titan's time. There are no mods here and we expect the highest level of behavior from the players. If you are a nuisance (nonstop questions that you could easily google yourself, creating very laggy things and/or hanging out by laggy things when you don't need to, dying nonstop and making us all wonder if something is wrong or you're making a mess, not respecting peoples' space when building, triggering raids at peoples' villages, etc), then you will be removed very very quickly. If you are someone that we believe is going to be high-maintenance and/or require near-constant supervision, you will be removed very quickly.

    Obviously they're not going to build it in survival to show you how to do it when they could build it a lot faster in creative. There's absolutely no reason to do that. Obviously the farms are meant for normal survival, but them actually building it in survival would make no difference whatseover for the purpose of the video.

    This despite the fact that I've mined well over a thousand iron in a single play session

    This is a useless statistic because you play on such a heavily modded version of the game that basically nothing is the same as the actual game. In addition to this, your obsession with mining is absolutely ridiculous and nobody else enjoys doing it that much. Competent players that want to do literally anything except mine nonstop need more than just one source of iron due to how much iron hoppers, rails, and minecarts take to make.

    Also Caver, you really overuse brackets to sandwich sentences together. It makes your posts a chore to read. Just split up your thoughts, it's not that hard.

    Perhaps Mojang can make diamond ore generate at rates as abundant as diorite, andesite and granite combined and you can "get over it" because you're in "complete control over how you play the game"?

    When the only way you can argue is with hyperbole, you've lost.

    The language you have been using in all of your posts suggests that you don't want these changes as just new difficulty OPTIONS, but REQUIRED changes to the game. Exhibits A, B, and C:

    I also think diamond armor / tool / weapon loot in the End should be like 1/10th it’s current rate. It’s game breakingly frequent.

    I personally feel that diamonds ore should spawn at only about 1/4 or 1/3 its current rate (it’s just too abundant currently), and netherite ore should only spawn at about 1/20th the rate of diamond or so. Elytra treasure loot should only spawn about 1/5th its current rate, and shulker shells should only spawn from a much more rare shulker boss rather than from the frequent normal shulkers.

    I disagree. I think they all need a serious nerf.

    It may be necessary to implement some sort of standardized resource / loot rate difficulty levels, with the current rates being Easy and a series of difficulties on top of that, for players looking for less of a casually exploitable experience.

    You did not at any point make even the slightest hint that you meant this for a new option until the very last line. It is undeniably phrased like you want these changes to be made unavoidable in the basegame. While it's true that you said it could be an option at some point LATER, you DID NOT mean it that way in the beginning, and that's the part I'm obviously calling you out on.

    like how you opened your comment by saying it shouldn't matter to me what other players do, and to stop trying to impose my preferred level of gameplay difficulty onto others, then you end your comment by insisting that other players not receive the voluntary option of higher difficulty levels.

    I never once claimed that the OPTIONS that you want should not be added, so you trying to make it look like I can is just putting words in my mouth and taking me out of context, which is how a weak man argues when he's already lost.

    You can say what you want, but you really can just not use the elements of the game you disagree with if you really detest them that much, and it shouldn't matter to you what other players do unless you're specifically playing in a server completely dictated by economy. Frankly, you should get over it. You have complete control over how you play the game. Stop trying to advocate for stripping that control away from everyone else because you think the game is too easy. The game has been designed so that all playstyles can do (and not do) what they want and have a good experience.

    And yes, being a top-tier player in Minecraft means eliminating as much of the repetitive (and skill-less) tedium as possible so you can actually be productive with your time and work on your builds. If you had your way with the game, there would be no incentive to do anything other than hold your Mine button/key for hours moving in a straight line. Not only is that incredibly boring, it doesn't take any skill whatsoever. Mining for diamonds before all of the fortune enchantments and new diamonds sources and whatever else was never hard. It was never challenging. It was just tedious, repetitive, and boring, and literally anyone could do it.

    SIGH. JUST DON'T USE THEM.

    What you're saying boils down to "I wish Mojang would get their act together and release real, difficult content with worthwhile rewards".

    I agree with that. It's not realistic to expect it, however. They haven't added any new bosses to the game since the Wither, with only the Dragon before that. The Nether update was their chance to add a Nether Boss (The Wither really doesn't count because it's a summonable and you are supposed to do it in the overworld) and they failed to do so, just like they failed to add a Kraken or anything else as a boss to the Update Aquatic. They're obviously not very keen to add more combat stuff to the game and their imagination tends to be very limited. Out of literally the THOUSANDS of creatures that live in real-world oceans, not to mention the thousands of mythical creatures to pull inspiration from and design a new hostile mob out of, we got... water zombies. Whoooooooo. They honestly should be ashamed that water zombies is the best they could do. Once again, if you want better combat and incentive for exploration, just wait for Hytale.

    And for your information, I play survival instead of creative because large builds are more impressive when you have to work harder for them, up to a point. I take pride in being a top-tier player by creating a supervillage with all notable enchanted books and gear, and lots of farmers with melon and pumpkin farms to handle the emerald and exp supply. That takes work to set up. It takes skill and knowledge of the villager mechanics to do. That's quite enough.

    Why do you want the game to be more tedious to play? If you want challenge, this is not the game you should be playing. This game is about building and mining. If you want to challenge yourself, I'll say it again, enforce your own rules. Don't desire for the game to be made substantially worse for everyone else because you don't like that this game doesn't challenge you. Building a village would be completely pointless if you couldn't get good stuff out of it.

    Hytale is in development and it's a far more combat-driven game with far better mod support and sandbox game-screation elements. You'll probably be jumping ship to that when it launches. I probably will be too.

    I disagree entirely on shulker shells and elytra spawning too frequently. They're non-renewable and it shouldn't take literally hours of flying in black void to get them. There's no skill in it, it's just a giant boring time-sink.

    As for diamonds, you can make a village that gives you all diamond things, the frequency of them in the End really doesn't matter.

    If you think it's too easy to get things from the End, then just don't do it and see how much worse your game experience becomes.

    Make netherite stuff real tedious to get, and chances are players will not bother with it at all, especially if it is barely better than dirt-easy diamond stuff.

    This is what some people don't seem to be understanding. IlMango did a thorough breakdown of how much better Netherite gear is in terms of durability and mining time, and the answer is...barely. It's actually one of the sour points of the update for me. They went to the trouble of making a new tier of gear, and they made it exceptionally long and annoying to get (who actually enjoys mining netherrack?), it's only a tiny fraction better than diamond, with the main gimmick of it (not being burnable) being useless to anyone skilled enough to obtain it in the first place, and it still can't even be dyed. I don't know why Mojang continues to allow only the most useless armor to be dyed, but this was their chance to add another incentive to the massively tedious grind for this new armor and tools, and they haven't done so.
