I have a friend who has a map up and running 24/7 on his PC. I am playing from my Xbox One. We are both using the same version of Minecraft. However when I try to connect the screen sits for a minute and then says "Unable to Connect to World" every time. Two other friends, who both play on their PCs, are able to connect just fine. I have never been able to connect. We have played over realms before with no problems. But this new map we have nothing but problems with. I need to know how to connect, please help!
Here is what I have tried:
- Restarting (my Xbox, full shut down, his PC, all our PCs, The game on all devices)
- Uninstall and Reinstall (every one of us has done this on either our Xbox or PC, numerous times, followed by a full shut down restart)
-Started a multiplayer game in another game and then switched immediately to Minecraft
-Checked all network settings, we all have an OPEN NAT (we've tried a few methods with this, we all have an open NAT)
-My friend has checked his port forwarding and we are all good there (again, two other friends are able to connect to his game, it is only me who cannot)
-Turned off and turned on the Instant-On on my Xbox
None of these solutions has done anything to fix the problem, and at times have made it worse (sometimes it will say I am not friends with the person or that I have no friends online when I do). Any help would be appreciated!
Thank for the advice, however, my friend is not hosting a server. He is logged in 24/7 on his PC with his map running constantly. He has had other friends in three different states all be able to join. They are all playing on the PC. I am the only one playing on Xbox, and I am the only one who cannot join. Also, when he tries to send me an invite through Windows 10 Xbox app, I never receive it. Not sure this is a port forwarding issue.

Some quick questions, and if anyone knows the answer, feel free to share! I just went from using the Minecraft: Xbox One edition to just Minecraft with the "better together" update. However, I noticed that some of the items and mobs we had in our Xbox One version did not carry over to the better together update. I just wanted to clarify about these so I know if I'm crazy in not finding them... And as an FYI, I am playing on Realms and I am the owner of the map.
- Slime (cannot locate in any swamp biome or anywhere)
- Vex
- Stray
- Skeleton Horse
- Evoker
- Mansions (we've been all over a few maps and have not found any mansions)
- Vindicator
- Beets (or beet seeds)
I'm sure there is more, but that is what I've remembered...

When I play split-screen (and only when I play split-screen) one or all of the players will continuously wave their arm like they are mining non-stop. It has only started happening the past week or so, and has never happened before. What might be causing this, or more importantly, how can I fix this?

Yes, correct. We are all using the Better Together updated Minecraft. NOT XBO Edition and NOT Java Edition.
