The update is going alright, I got the frosted ice textures working, and I'm about to start on the elytra, but I can't figure out how the boat textures work.

I might do that, I'll probably also make a few alternate textures for it,

after that I'll probably continue working on the Aether textures, If you'd like I can add your moa and cockatrice textures as well.

I had been playing alot of Aether 2 recently, and I found that you partially support that mod. But since you were missing the Moa and Cockatrice textures, I spent the whole afternoon making them.

Those look amazing, I have started working on the Aether textures again but I'm not sure what to do with the mobs.

I'm trying to get the pack updated for the snapshot, they changed how the boats work and the texture layout, and I haven't been able to figure it out yet, and I'm not sure what I should do with the Elytra texture

Never mind. I may just start making my own pack, probably in the same RPG style of Gerudoku (but different, of course).

Will still continue to support Gerudoku though

That is a great idea, I look forward to seeing what you create.

Quick question: What is your policy on resource packs? I have had this pack I have been wanting to post for a while. The base is gerudoku faithful, while some textures were borrowed from Dokucraft and Conquest, along with some I have made. I can give you full credit for every texture used.

I personally wouldn't have a problem with it, however there are many textures from other resource packs in Gerudoku, you would have to track down each person who contributed to the pack and ask them, Tombones used textures from many packs, he used quite allot of textures from Dustyshouri's pack DustyCraft and he no longer allows people to use his textures,
this is what he posted about it.

I no longer allow the free use of any content within this pack, with or without permission. I have allowed the rights to use my graphics in the past but I have since changed my stance on that. If you had once asked for permission and I have allowed it that decision persists, but any further requests(as of March 2012) will be denied.

Edit: You and your friends can keep using the pack, nothing can stop you from doing that,
just don't post it, if you do it will be reported for stolen content.

Mighty fine of you Dangeresque, gonna try it out now. Got a link for donations?

No problem, it should work now, if there are still problems just tell me what they are and I'll see what I can do to fix it, as for donations, nope I thought about it awhile back but never got around to it, for now the closest thing is my steam wishlist.

I'm experiencing a strange inventory bug with this resource pack on 1.8.8. There is an extra solitary square above & center which doesn't do anything, and the white highlights are offset from the 2x2 crafting boxes. This is otherwise my ideal pack, please help!

Sorry about that, I updated the pack for 1.9 which changed the inventory a bit, I should have made another version for 1.8, I'll make an add-on with the 1.8 GUI.

Edit: Here it is: Gerudoku Faithful 1.8 GUI Add-on. I'll also add it to the original post.

Like I said, they are mainly just for ALT textures. I myself have a custom Gerudoku full of alt textures (and maybe a few stolen from dokucraft)

Here is the download for these textures:

    https://www.mediafire.com/?54b7747yhll6on7

Also, I have tweaked those HD skins I made earlier. Is there anyway I can view HD skins in game without mods?

I fully expect people to edit the pack to their personal preference, that is why there are so many alternate textures and I also expect that people will make their own alternate textures, I'm glad people have personal versions of it.

I haven't found a way for someone to use HD skins without a mod, other than adding it to a resource pack, and then it only shows up for people using the pack when not using a custom skin.

All the textures look great, I won't use all of them but I would like to take a look then slightly edit and use some of them.

I'll go fix that real quick.

Edit: I made a quick texture that I'll probably change later, but It should work for now.

I've been doing some minor support for Fossils and Archeology

not sure if I'll fully support that one or not, I like the mod, I did work on it awhile back, but i never got very far, but I would like to take a look at the textures if that's alright.

Since there aren't any more new blocks or items for me to re-texture in the snapshot I might work on some mod support, I'd like to add support for the Twilight Forest mod but I'm not sure I can get that one done anytime soon, so in the mean time if you guys have some suggestions for some mods you'd like to see supported just tell me what they're called and I'll have a look.

My cousin has issues with this. When double clicking the download, the zip files pops open instead of offering to install (Windows 10).

I referred her to magic launcher, and when 1.6 wasn't in environments, I told her to use the environment 1.8s because the FAQs on magic and opt-fine installing is that vague. But it didn't recognize the version, gave 27 errors and overall didn't work for her.

Try right clicking it, there should be a option that says open with, click that then you should see a few different options, one of them should Java(TM) platform SE binary, If you don't see anything that says java, then you need to get java.

i think they're based off of smaug, because sleeping in gold and stuff

The only version of Smaug I can find with only two legs is the movie version, all of the old artwork of Smaug shows four legs, however I don't remember whether or not J.R.R Tolkien specified how many legs Smaug had in the book.

They even say in the OP that:

So I don't think they plan to change it.

    I must have missed that.

The models look awesome, I do have one complaint though, It's the same problem I have with the Skyrim dragons, your dragons look like wyverns, the main difference in looks being wyverns have two legs whereas dragons are supposed to have four.

Long time no see! Everyone's real excited about snapshot 15w31a (finally) being released, and I'm excited about all the new blocks. Some of those I have ready to go, and I have a few that I'm still working on. Changes to block models will take a bit longer to get straight, but I'm excited for the new possibilities. Expect a patch to v1.3 of the resource pack that you can apply over v1.3 soon-ish.

I've got a side project or two that's been keeping me busy since February, and I hope to show something off in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!

Hey RocketTurtle, I thought you might want a bit of help with fixing the textures being rotated, I've fixed the block states so they don't do that, If you'd like to you can use the files from my Rotated Texture Fix.
