Well, for some reason it isn't working. I'm using the latest stable build of forge (10.12.0.1024) and when I tried placing this mod in the mods folder, only this one and nothing else, the game never loads. I see the javaw.exe process in the task manager, but then it closes without never actually opening the minecraft window.

Weird, Forge recognizes all my mods except this one. I even tried loading only this one, but for some reason it doesn't work. It is .jar, just like it is downloaded, and all my other mods work, but this one isn't even in the mod list :/ and I'm using the stable build of forge 1.7.2, not even 1.7.4.

As I said, tried with only this mod in the folder and it doesn't work either.

My forge game loads perfectly with the latest recommended build of forge, but mod isn't recognized :/ it's not shown in the mods list. All my other mods work (except optifine for some reason) but this one isn't shown there.
I also tried placing only this one, and it doesn't work either. So it isn't other mod's interference. This is the log when I tried with only this mod:

you're the one confusing things. Mojang has NO obligation to keep updating the game. All of us knew from the very beginning, long before we buy it, that someday updates are gonna stop. Game was perfectly playable on 1.0 so that was full game. All games have bugs that sometimes never get fixed, but instead Mojang kept UPDATING the game and FIXING bugs, when they had no need to. Like someone said earlier, this game will never be finished, it can be expanded infinitely. They're not finishing the game, that's impossible, they are adding new features to a perfectly playable game and you should thank them for such a cheap game to keep being updated for free, most companies ask for 40-70 dollars for the game and then you have to pay for DLCs.

Minority? When was the last year you played minecraft? You think people using boats is the majority? But oceans are smaller every day and boats do their job and are easy to use to go across the sea (maybe you dont know how to use them), who could care something so useless when there are way better things to do?

And WitherSnow, no one who knows something about this game would do this topic, you don't even know what a snapshot is or you wouldn't expect it to have a lot of things because snapshot are test versions with a few new things and the more they advance the more bugfix centered they are. You should know that but you don't so you made this useless thread instead of learning first what you were talking about.

What users don't understand is that mojang isn't there to satisfy childish wishes, but to make a better, more deep game. There's no reason for new ores, note at all, they will add ores when they have something USEFUL to do. Like quartz, which brought some aesthetic improvement and materials for redstone stuff. They won't be like newbie modders adding 20 variations of iron, gold or diamond just to make different colored tools or weapons, that's USELESS. You have mods for that no need to add it in vanilla. They will only add new ores when they provide with a resource to create better and more complete features to make gameplay more interesting. My advice, give up on the idea they will just add ores for nothing, because ores are one of the most important blocks in minecraft, they need to have a real purpose, no need for 10 ores doing the same thing.

If you don't know much about the game you should avoid making threads. You don't even understand what a snapshot is. You should feel lucky you are able to test versions before they comeout and instead you complain like a child. Please ddon't ruin this great community with nonsenses, investigate and ONLY THEN make new topics. That's way more useful than a complain based in something you don't even understand. Go check the wiki to learn what a snapshot is, please.

Big and medium slimes swim, baby slimes have problems with that.
Enderman don't seem to be teleporting away when they fall in water (maybe a bug?)
Slimes now change directions when they collide with a wall.

Magma cubes probably swim the same way, only big ones, and small ones don't.

They don't have to add any warnings its common sense. And it has been said for years that you have to backup your worlds,specially when new versions come up, and now with the new launcher, when changing versions. Sadly if you didn't, there's nothing you can do to make it go back to what it was, all new things were changed, and that's done and saved in the world. In the old days (don't know if it works now) we were able to close with alt+f4 and world wouldns save the latest changes but now who knows.

No it isn't. Cheating is only when you get an unfair advantage against other people, but since you can't have creative and spectator in multiplayer without an admin giving it to you, there's no other way you can use it against other players. And well of course that in singleplayer it can't be considered cheating because you're alone and you can play minecraft the way you want, its a sandbox game after all, that means you can play itin any kind of way you want because you're almost completely free in every way.

Also I think 1.7 has an option to lock the world's gamemode so you can't change it if you feel tempted.

wanting something to be removed for such a reason is just selfish. You don't like it? Don't make it. But that's not a reason to ruin other people's game experience just becase some people don't like it. Since no one forces them to make iron farms, they can still mine if they want to. The idea is for it to be OPTIONAL, not a mandatory thing for anyone. If you don't like it in servers just suggest your server owner to forbid them to be built, and apply ban to players who do it. As simple as that.

Well there's an easy way to keep everyone kinda happy. Lowering iron ingot drops. That way farms can still be automatic, but slower than actually going to mine some iron ores. Like 1-2 instead of 1-5 per golem. We know most of them drop 3-4 right now.
