Great to see 1.9 is already up! and 1.10 is already in Development! MineCraft is finally deserving the content it needs!
thank god someone gets it!!!

1.1 and 1.10 updates make no sense. It would be 1_10 if he was being correct.

Notch's twitter is a magical place. Read it, and you will know the answers to all your questions. SCREAMING DAY

Holy freaking awesomness! Why do I still have to work another 2 hours before I can download it. WHYYYYYYYY?
Quote from KoopaFreak
oh my gosh already no offense but this is a little much I think there will be too much in the game in 1.9 and plus people are still getting use to 1.8 I just want it to be as is for a while I still need to experience 1.8 to its fullest and I just want to play 1.8 for at least 2 months before I have to change my world around to get rid of all the mods.
Quote from TheFatBatOfDoom
Notch is racing to fast, slow down the updates!!!
I know this is only a pre-release but still...
Quote from mazblade137
um, am I the only one who noticed that jumping randomly gives tonnes of exp, and exp does nothing...? :mellow.gif:
Quote from Superterry
Good job Mojand! Looks like you're trying to make up the updates since we waited too long for 1.8.
Quote from minemax195
Why the hell does the next version need to be named Beta 1.10? Can't it just be Beta 2.0?
Quote from Kenamot
srsly? 1.10? ....it's 1.8 then 1.9 and then 2.0 ....geez ...1.10 is like 1 year old...

Interesting concept and were it to ever become a thing, you bet I would blow through a world of diamonds exploring the nasty things in store for me way down where. But the major problem is that this would require an entire rewriting of the rendering system as well as the world generation. I mean we've been waiting the better part of a year just for an update that only affects direct player gameplay. Something like this could take even longer. Although I like the concept, I don't see this as being feasible. Even mod makers rarely take on tasks of this magnitude. Nevertheless, if someone out there ever says "sign me up I'm hopping on the coding train right now" they've got my full support.
I give this this suggestion an 8/10

I like the ideas in your first post. And a suggestion. As with obsidian being a very dark block type whose texture is very little changing with light and with the original concept of getting to the aether through a frame made up of glowstone, a block type which emits light, why not make the new concept for it with sea lanterns? Not only are they much more difficult to obtain than endstone, but It more accurately follows the concepts of light vs. darkness, and makes you fight one of the toughest challenges that minecraft has yet to offer before traveling to the aether. Not to mention end stone and glowstone both look like a block of puke, white milky stuff and "I had eggs for breakfast" styles respectively.

There is no way in the 7 layers of the nether that pink sheep have that low of a spawn rate. I found three within render distance of each other the other day. They aren't that rare.
Just read your post a tad closer. Doesn't this thread technically belong in pocket edition discussion? Lol

Yeah sorry, it was a late night and my brain wasn't functioning properly. I was just excited about the find and had to share it.,

I could spawn a couple random worlds and find a decent plains biome. I hate to be a Debbie downer but this isn't that special.

So like most peeps around here, survival island seeds have become somewhat indifferent to me. That is until I decided to insult Minecraft with my seed choice.
You start on a island with some trees and rabbits. but when you look over you'll see an ocean temple, pretty nice find at the start right? well, next is a dungeon, very close to the island at the ocean floor which includes some much needed horse accessories should you decide to high tail it off the island at any point. But wait there's more. If you head directly southwest past a chain on Forest islands, you'll come upon the shore of a plains biome where not even 100 blocks later you'll encounter a Minecraft Big Mac Ravine. one ravine with a 5 block wide hole leading down to another ravine where there is at least one deposit of diamonds and several gold and iron deposits. IMO, this seems to be a decent survival island seed with some exploration interests. Refer to the snapshots for coordinates of the points of interest.
WARNING: The seed includes explicit language and therefore I have chosen to include it in the spoiler below (the reason I said I insulted MC lol)
Seed: (redacted by moderator, violation of TOS) "1291961961" This is the numeric seed equivalent of the text seed.

Today has made me a very happy person, and what better seed to share with minecraftians everywhere than a happy stumble onto a world with a rather large flower forest right near spawn. The seed i chose at random was even more of a coincidence.
Seed: Thank You
