Why does the news post in the forums never list all the changes properly? http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/14w26a
/fill
Block limit changed from 4096 to 32768 blocks.
*slow clap*
That's a really awesome new feature, it's eight times more blocks, that will allow to use the /fill command on big areas way more faster.
Also the debug world type sounds really interesting, but I haven't tested it yet.

Jan 30, 2014DaFz posted a message on Snapshot 14w05a Ready for Testing!I'm watching a video about the new snapshot and it's awesome, you can "possess" entities in Spectator mode, and if you possess creepers everything turns green, and if you possess spiders you see everything like a spider, with many eyes. That's a new shader that can be seen in Super secret settings too. And if you possess endermen the colors are reversed (negative).Posted in: News
You can possess the Wither too, and villagers, pretty much every entity. It's really interesting. -
Jan 30, 2014DaFz posted a message on Snapshot 14w05a Ready for Testing!Yeah... the barrier block is featured in the image itself but they didn't say anything about it...Posted in: News
It sounds pretty cool, and I bet the spectator mode has a lot of possibilities too.
It's not a really big change but they also added a new shader in "Super Secret Settings".
And if you "possess" a Creeper in spectator mode you see everything green.
1.8 is going to be really awesome. -
Jan 30, 2014DaFz posted a message on Spheres in Vanilla?I think this is really neat. I saw the original video by Killercreeper and it's awesome, it's wonderful what people can do with redstone and commands. The blocks placed for the spheres, circles and etc are ghost blocks, you don't collide with them.Posted in: News
This can lead to some really interesting stuff. -

Probably intentional. -

Jan 13, 2014DaFz posted a message on Snapshot 14w02a Ready For Testing! YAY!The slime block sounds like a really cool block to experiment with, and villagers getting more specific would be ok for me too. I'm not that invested in enchanting so i don't really care, but i want to see 1.8 already, sounds like it's gonna be awesome, just like all the other updates.Posted in: News

Minecraft isn't about building, not even close. You could just live in a little wood/stone/dirt house for the whole game, and you could perfectly do everything you can do, go to the Nether and the End, beat the Ender Dragon with a simple house, or hell, you could just live in caves like a nomad or something. Now if you're gonna go on creative mode, you'll be able to build all you want but still. Did you even realize what you wrote on the title? I can't compare it to anything, it's kinda like wow. really? don't play minecraft because you're not so good at building? no no no.

Buying and playing? Really? You pay one time and you get all of the updates for free, if it was another company that made the game maybe they would make you pay for each update. I'm not saying you have to worship Mojang, but really? complaining about the API (which may take years to make) when you're constantly getting updates? Besides this discussion wasnt even about the API.
