posted a message on Mo' Creatures - v12.0.0 for Minecraft 1.12.1!! Now Opensource!!

Is anyone else having an issue with hostile mobs not attacking? (Silver Skeleton, Big Cats, etc). I'm playing with several mods though I'm not sure if any of them are causing this issue for me. They only attack if I initiate combat but other than that they stay passive and ignore me.

posted a message on Do you listen to music while playing minecraft?
Depending on what I'm doing I listen to different genre of music. Like if I was building something huge I would listen to something upbeat to get me going. If I was just adventuring looking for materials alone I would probably listen to something more mellow and relaxed.

How long have you played minecraft?: Started around Beta 1.2
    Preferred name/nickname if any: FB/FireBird
Have you ever been banned on a server before? If so, 1:why? 2:were you able to resolve it?: I don't think i ever got ban, I don't really play on servers other than those made by friends.
Why do you want to be a part of this server?: Decided I should try play with other players besides my own friends, I really only played on one other server before so I feel like I should expand.
Do you have skype?(This will not effect your application): I do
Do you specialize in anything?(Redstone, building, etc): I like building compact houses/builds, not really a fan of BIG builds and such. I also make a pretty mean alchemist :]
How active can you be?: I can be quite active depends on how this server things goes but I'm hoping I can enjoy my time and play a lot.
Do you agree to the rules?: It would be foolish to not agree with the rules. (Yes)
Do you like to build by yourself or with others? I like building alone but adventuring is always better with others but mostly alone. Still up for meeting new players though.

For those who haven't seen the new layout for enchanting tables.

You obviously see the changes, the numbers 1 2 3 with the experience orb getting bigger. If you hover over the tiles you will get like a preview of the enchantment you get. As you can see, I hovered over the most expensive tile and it showed Unbreaking III with a question mark indicating that there is more. I like this a lot, it gives you a glimpse of what you'll get but still keeping that hidden surprise with the question mark.

Idk if this was added previously but I saw this lock symbol next to the difficulty setting. As well as a message when clicked.

posted a message on Are you embarrassed to admit playing Minecraft?
    Quote from Unlocalized

    Minecraft is a kid's game

I wouldn't say Minecraft is "kid's game" it's for everyone really. You stated yourself that even grown up play it so it can't be labeled just a kid's game. Then again I never understood the requirements a game needs to be considered just a "kid's game" (besides the usual blood, language, etc.)

To answer the OP's question, I don't see how you can get embarrassed for playing Minecraft. To be honest at this point if you're in your early to late teens and haven't seen or even heard of Minecraft, I would say that's hard to believe haha.

On another note; What does Minecraft have specifically that makes it only a kid's game. This is just a question for not only Minecraft but for any other game that are said to be a kid's game but played by all ages. I personally think a kid's game is considered a game that is only played by kids and is considered weird if a person of older age plays it. It's kinda hard to talk about this type of thing because there are tons of people who play Minecraft from young to old and it's been like that for several years.

posted a message on What monster or Biome would YOU add to Minecraft?
I think a flying hostile mob is needed. Get owned by land and air, hey even sea! Hahaha.

For a biome I would like to see something unique. Though I don't know if someone else has ever mentioned this but what about a crater biome! It can be really rare, and it wouldn't be like any old hole in the ground forming a valley, I mean like an actual crater caused by a meteorite or something. Sounds a little crazy but it could also implement the use of space rocks and what not. Just an idea I had at the top of my head. Any how, I would love to see something like that, a little mysterious and fascinating thing to encounter on your minecraft journey.

Would something like this work within the nether rather than on top? I mean it looks huge but I think it can be created within the nether right? The spawning would probably be much higher too.

posted a message on How I begin a survival world
    Seems simple enough I guess I'll show you my way of doing things on a freshly made minecraft world;

    1. Look around to get a feel of your spawn (In some cases I do restart to make another new world if I spawn on an Island)

    2. Quickly gather about 30-40 logs

    3. Make a workbench then 1 wooden pick

    4. Find the nearest cave or source of stone and grab as much as possible with the wooden pick

    5. From there I'll make stone tools (Instead of making wooden tools)

    6. If I was able to do the steps above before night I would either gather food, get more cobble, or find sheep for wool.

    7. When it does get night I build a simple cube house.

    8. During the night I usually don't go to sleep right away (sometimes I might not even have wool by then) I use this time to make a furnace to cook meat or built other essentials for the upcoming morning.

    9. When it's morning again, I quickly jump into action to mine for resources or hunt for meat or wool.

    10. Finally I gather basically the needed materials to make a bed and more tools then I advance from there.

I might of missed some minor details but this is basically how I start a new world. Might seem like a lot but I think a day and a half is alright to get started in a new world. Maybe if you are reading this, you can try this way as well!

posted a message on Why Survival Mode has Become Boring
Survival does seem to get boring "ALONE", I think multiplayer survival is much more fun but of course you have "GRIEFERS" and such but a regular small server with friends (or friendly players) doing survival will keep you coming back for more. So i wouldn't totally agree on survival becoming boring it just needs some requirements to stay fun. There's mods too of course but if you're like me, you rather not fiddle with mods.

Anyhow, I think playing with others in survival with no mods (or with mods if you really prefer) and no plugins, is the best way to go.

posted a message on What kills you most?
I would have to say mobs are the number 1 reason for my deaths in minecraft. To be specific, it's the skeletons. Before 1.5 was release, zombies were to blame for most of my blames but since 1.5, skeletons have killed me way more often. Of course the reason is because within the 1.5 update, skeletons were really buffed. Being able to shoot from 16 blocks away (previously 10 blocks away) as well as their shooting speed increasing as players get closer.

posted a message on How did you learn the crafting recipes?
Wiki is a man's best friend on the internet. Since I've used the wiki a lot I kind of remember every crafting recipe for everything. If I am playing minecraft I do tend to forget some recipes for pistons, and cake so I just quickly open up the wiki and you'll find it right there in an instant. Much faster than asking a friend who might also forget the recipe. :)
