I personally almost always use a random seed, unless I need a specific seed for a project I'm doing, in which case I'll go and look for a good seed that has what I'm looking for. If I'm not working on a project, and just want to play in a survival world, I'll go and make a world with a random seed and just see what I get. I'll more often than not use the terrain and surroundings to build whatever it is I want to build.
Zombie babies were added in 1.6 and are basically just a pain to deal with. In SMP, they are almost impossible to hit (unless they fixed that, don't quote me on that) and add that to a Plains biome, with all that tall grass, to make a truly horrific experience.
Okay, it was when I fell off a house I was building into a nearby cave, where I could see lava at the bottom. Suddenly, a creeper decided to complicate things.
Most of you probably know about the Mindcrack server, and if you don't, you need to crawl out from under the rock you've been living under. I was watching some of BDoubleO's videos, and noticed the town hall has progressed considerably. I have started up my own server recently and need some inspiration for a town hall - and the Mindcrack server town hall provided just that. I was wondering if anyone has built the town hall in Creative and if they would be able to share it with me. If not, a world download link for the server from Season 4 (or even Season 3 - they have some good stuff from there, too). Thanks in advance.
Off topic: anyone know how to make a world download?
If you're bored, you should try and build stuff for purely aesthetic reasons, maybe a large fortress, a small vilage, an abandoned prison? Minecraft is meant for people to use their imagination, so do that.
I like it, and good job on spending so much time on one project. I know I could never do it. Only one thing I don't really like: the domes. The domes, I think, could be a little more... spherical? I don't know, just a thought.
If you mean being able to be made into armor and/or tools, no. IRL, it is a soft and pliable mineral, used only for - take a guess - dyes. Besides, you can make blocks from it, so what more do you need?
A better, more efficient way you could do this is have a good amount of eggs floating in water, laying eggs, which then flow into a stream, arriving into a hopper, from which they go into a dispenser, which has a comparator hooked up to it. Once there are enough eggs, the comparator will trigger a clock, which will dispense eggs into the chicken holding cell, creating more chickens. From there, more and more will lay eggs, until you have more than enough. Then, you could have a button hooked up to a couple of dispensers, one which suck up the water source the chicken are in, the other to light them up with a flint and steel. Or something. I might go into creative and play around with it, then post some pictures; we'll see.
