The bookshelves are broken with OptiFine C7, I believe this is an OptiFine bug. Either way, I have a fix for it in the pack.

If you are using GitHub Desktop, open the app and fetch the latest changes.

If not, we now have an always-up-to-date download link: http://wolfiamc.com/downloads/revival.zip

This download link will always have the latest changes to the pack, as they're uploaded to GitHub (see the changelog here).

Also new are some updated red sandstone pillars:

After some testing, it seems that adding blank files, matching the names specified in the left/middle/right properties files (0.png, 1.png, 2.png, 3.png), it loads the properties files correctly. The actual PNG files are never used (they were never needed before), it just allows OptiFine to load the properties files that replace those PNGs

Just installed 1.12.2 HD Ultra C7, and I've noticed that the bookshelf CTM for a resource pack I help maintain (SMP's Revival) no longer works (purple/black missing texture, when CTM is enabled). On C5 (and older) it works fine.

I've looked at the changelog but I don't see anything specific that would cause this. Were there any changes that would require an update to my CTM properties files?

There is a horizontal CTM rule (bookshelf_sides.properties) that sets the left, middle, right, and single textures, for the sides of the bookshelves (top/bottom textures are unaffected). These four tiles are defined by another four CTM rules, each one is a random.

In total there are 10 textures (2 left, 4 middle, 2 right, 2 single), with each one being picked at random.

All the files are on a GitHub repo here: https://github.com/KyleNecrowolf/Revival/tree/master/assets/minecraft/mcpatcher/ctm/bookshelf/bookshelf

Our annual winter festival, Banmas, has begun! This is our biggest Banmas festival yet, with all new events, and returning favourites.

As usual, all events are hosted by Kyle, out of the Banmas Hub at Necrowolf Manor. The hub has been decorated, as well as spawn, and the mall! Warp to the hub by talking to the NPCs at spawn, or by typing /Banmas.

Our custom roleplaying plugin, RealmsCore, has received a variety of new features! For those who are not aware, a realm represents a nation or faction in the world of Wolfia.

You can now send messages to other members of your realm with /msg realm <message…>

Realm leaders, you’re now in control! Invite and kick people from your realm, change the colour, tagline, and name of your realm, and assign titles to players.
If you have sub-realms under your rule, you can do all of this stuff to that realm too.

    /realm <realm name> <invite/kick/addofficer/removeofficer> <players…>
    /realm <realm name> set <color/fullname/tagline> <new data…>
    /realm <realm name> title <player> <new title…>

I’m still working on a system for creating new realms. Until then, you can let me know in-game if you’d like to start your own realm.

Our unique new fast travel system, Warpstones, is now mostly complete! Warpstones provide a way to quickly return to previously visited locations around the Akenlands and beyond.
You can recognize warpstones as floating lapis and stone structures, often found near towns and points of interest. Activate one, and then return to it later with /last. You can only return to the last warpstone you’ve activated, unless you have a new magical item (detailed below).
You can also use /sethome at a warpstone near your home to permanently save it. Then, return to it at any time with /home. You can also use /spawn to return to the warpstone at spawn, in the City of Intwil.

While using warpstones, you may discover a unique blue dust. This Warp Dust can be used as an alternative to Lapis Lazuli, however it has a far more useful purpose. Craft four Warp Dust into a Warp Shard, and then carry it to a warpstone to transform it into a useful magic item, allowing you to save the location of the warpstone in the shard itself. You can use at any other warpstone later, or trade it to other players.
Warp Dust drops rarely when activating a warpstone (other than your home and spawn warpstone), so you will need to activate many warpstones to collect enough dust for shards. This rarity, combined with the usefulness of shards, makes it a highly desirable item in the realms of Wolfia.
Note: Custom item textures are included in our resource pack, Revival. You must have the resource pack to see the appropriate textures for the new warp items. Download the pack here, or by typing /revival on the server.

If you're just noticing it new on 1.12, take a screenshot with the debug screen on, and looking at the block (so all of its blockstate data is shown on the right, and system info/optifine on top).

The GitHub is the best way to see what's being worked on and what still needs to be done. You can see the to-do list under Issues: https://github.com/KyleNecrowolf/Revival/issues

And the changelog is under Commits: https://github.com/KyleNecrowolf/Revival/commits/master (btw, you can click on the <> next to any change to see what the pack looked like at that point in time, and download a zip if you'd like)

I just posted a zip of the pack for 1.12, it is available at http://wolfiamc.com/revival/

Although for the latest updates (and to easily upload your own changes), use these instructions to get a version of the pack that updates automatically:

To get to latest updates to the pack as they're made, first create an account on GitHub.com and then download GitHub Desktop at https://desktop.github.com/.
Clone the repository KyleNecrowolf/Revival, and set the local path to an empty folder in your resourcepacks folder (AppData/Roaming/.minecraft/resoucepacks/Revival). The pack will be downloaded and placed there. Every time you launch GitHub app, it will update your local copy of the pack with any changes made.

We've been looking through the pack to see what missing textures we still have. The to-do list above is fairly accurate, although we now keep a list at our GitHub.

    Current up-to-date to-do list: https://github.com/KyleNecrowolf/Revival/issues

We could definitely use some contributions from anyone who is able to design in the Revival style and is willing to help! Please reply to this thread, look for us on our server (IP is WolfiaMC.com), or Skype (GalvinNerth or DOGC_Kyle).

GitHub automatically syncs up everyone's changes, and it's been the easiest way to collaborate on this pack.

Some more pictures, all from the Realms of Wolfia:

All pictures use Revival with either Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders or Sildur's Vibrant Shaders. Personally I think Sildur's Vibrant looks great with the fantasy style of the pack.

We've recently started testing our all-new custom Magic plugin. This plugin features Skills and Spells based around the four ancient tribes of Wolfia: Warg, Eborite, Sholk, and Rhun.

Skills are passive abilities; once unlocked, they are always active. Spells are a little more interesting, once unlocked, you can equip them, and cast them from either empty hand. They are very interesting in PvP because they provide unique benefits, however you can only have one equipped at a time so you must choose wisely!

Here are some of the skills and spells we have planned:
    -Blocking: block an attack
    -Earthmover: boost your mining speed
-Levitate: rise into the air and temporarily fly
-Earth Cage: encase an enemy in earthly blocks
    -Heal: regain health instantly
    -Timber: knock down trees quickly
    -Blaze: shoot fire
    -Toxin Strike: poison a target
    -Smite: strike lightning!
-Fangs: Attack an enemy with evoker fangs
-Assassin: no death message when target is killed
-Shroud: turn invisible for a short time
-Peace: stop PvP in a small radius
-Item Rift: Open your Ender chest anywhere

We're looking for more ideas, if you have any more, please tell us!

All skills and spells are unlocked by earning XP in each of the four branches of magic. While we're still working on the skills and spells, you can already start earning XP in-game. Your normal Minecraft XP counts towards each branch, plus there are some more specific ways to get XP, such as killing players (Rhun), enchanting (Eborite), and farming (Sholk).

A few players have been testing out the new spells, and we're having quite a bit of fun with them! They definitely make PvP much more interesting. I can't wait to finish and show off the plugin to the rest of you!

I have a few more updates, including the new Purpur and End Rod textures. There's a couple other fixes as well, though most are minor.

Still have to fix some more CTM, but other than that it's perfectly usable right now.

A new town, Yongaron, has been seeing a lot of activity recently. It is located in Sholkingham, the northern wilderness.

The name Yongaron means "old wall", referring to the mountains that surround the town.

The castle was built with the help of Eborin, and is home to King CT05. While Sholkingham is a "lawless" region where raiding is allowed, it would be unwise to raid Yongaron given how well defended it is.

If you'd like to visit or live in Yongaron yourself, log onto the server with IP WolfiaMC.com and head north until you reach the north Sholkingham ocean. Then, get in a boat and head north until you reach Yongaron. You can use the livemap to help find it (http://map.wolfiamc.com/).

You can join by adding the IP WolfiaMC.com to your server list in Minecraft. The server is up 24/7, although most of our players are in EST or CST timezones, so you won't always see players online 24/7, depending on when you come on.

You can also see a 3D map of the world (updated in real time) at http://map.wolfiamc.com. This map shows online players and you can chat with them too.

It's been a while since the last bump here, but we've been doing plenty of stuff in Wolfia. We've been exploring the mainland (the Akenland) and beyond, so much that we're calling this a new Exploration Era.

We're looking for players to help build and run some small towns on the outskirts of Waramon.

If you're interested, come on the server and let me know!

We've also made some improvements to our unique Warpstone (fast travel) system. You can now set home warpstones and return to them at any time.

The Aerin Isles (in the south Runnach ocean) have also been seeing a lot of activity, including many buildings and a new quest. The council of Aerin is also looking for new players to join them.

As always, the IP is WolfiaMC.com. We're looking forward to seeing some new faces!
