    posted a message on Gui Button

    Im going to be honest, I used the BlockBeacon class to figure it out, though Im having more issues with the redstone. I overrided the isProvidingWeakPower method, and the canProvidePower method, and the redstone around it doesnt update.

    Im trying to make a block output a redstone signal, but I'm not sure how to do it. I've looked at the lever and button classes, but with obfuscation I cant really tell what is going on. Im assuming it has to do with block metadata, but Im not sure.

    posted a message on Serverside forge 1.7.10

    I've just started mod development, and I'm working on a mod to play with my friends online. I don't know of any way to run mods and plugins for 1.7.10 minecraft on the same server, so I was thinking about writing a mod to be completely serverside to work as a plugin. I'm not exactly sure how to do it though. For example, server side if I need an event when a player is damaged or places blocks, I'm not sure how do that. As well, do I put @SideOnly(Side.SERVER) on the fml innit events, or on all of the methods and constructors I use?

    It is in the bin folder, could it be a compiling problem? I've noticed that sometimes the icon doesn't show up when working with frames as well.

    Yeah, I meant to put smithinganvil.png. Thats my console, I didn't see any logs files in the workspace.

    I've decided lately to get into forge mod development, and I started coding in 1.7.10. I tried to add a block, which it works, but the texture doesn't load when I run it. Here is my code:

    	private Block smithingAnvil;

    	@EventHandler
    	public void onLoad(FMLPreInitializationEvent event) {
    		// Variable innit
    		smithingAnvil = new SmithingAnvil().setBlockName("SmithingAnvil").setBlockTextureName(ID + ":smithinganvil");
    		// Registery
    		GameRegistry.registerBlock(smithingAnvil, smithingAnvil.getUnlocalizedName().substring(5));
    	}

    ID is a static String for the modid. I realized that in 1.7.10 the block texture path is assets/<modid>/textures/blocks/<png file>, but in later updates the path is assets/<modid>/textures/block/<png file>, and I've tried both. My current path is assets/<modid>/textures/blocks/smithingtable.png, and I'm not sure how to make the block have the textures.

    posted a message on Using MCP to do things

    I'm working on a bot attempt to kill players in a private minecraft server. I would write a server side bot using packets and an instance of an EntityPlayer, but I feel like that would be a lot more work than writing a client side bot using mcp. I've written pathfinders to make the bot lock on the the nearest player, move towards them, but when the bot runs into water, lava, cliffs or the player starts building up, the bot can't really do anything. I'm not sure how to make thePlayer in mcp place blocks, and it would be helpful to learn how. I understand that a way to break server rules shouldn't be put on a public forums, and if you feel this way, hmu on discord DJCowGaming#7792 in the dms to try and answer my question.
