posted a message on [!][Possible Spoilers][!] Minecraft Story Mode - Hidden Debug Menu?

The version of the game I was using was the GOG version. Also when I first came across it I was in the Treehouse where you look through chests for your stuff. An active save file might be required.

posted a message on Why Everyone in youtube hates minecraft story mode??

Isn't it obvious why there's so much hate over this?

    1) It's a new idea. A good one at that.

C'mon, an original story based in a world of Minecraft? No, that wasn't a typo. A WORLD of Minecraft.

Every Minecraft world is like a blank canvas, where you can create your own story, to share with friends.

This game is like a AAA Studio that made a really cool Minecraft map with mods and the like. But they decided to make their own game using the assets instead!

    2) It's a story driven game, based on a game, where the whole point, is to make your own story/experience.

Many people will be turned off by this idea, and will have the impulse to lash out against it.

3)The Majority of Minecraft players out there are children and teenagers (Age 5-16) and as such, they can be immature, and even toxic at times. (Just look at the wonderful people that play on Mineplex between 13:00 - 18:00 local time in the western world)

4)Most people in the world are closed-minded sheeple. (Because if they wern't, the world would have been a far better place, and Minecraft would have most likely been a game on the Holodeck) Thinking critically and openly is just too difficult for them.

    5) IT'S THE INTERNET, WHAT KIND OF REACTION DID YOU EXPECT? SUNSHINE AND RAINBOWS!?

Because if the reaction was hugs, sunshine and rainbows, I'd take a quick look around to make sure I wasn't in the Twilight Zone, as that would be, different than the norm.

Minecraft Story mode is an awesome spin-off of the Minecraft franchise, and I am personally looking forward to the future episodes and a certain feature (or possible red haring) that I came across via a debug menu in-game.

    TL;DR VERSION:

    Haters gonna hate.

The little immature brats that Minecraft is full of, are butthurt because they need to beg mommy and daddy for $39.99 to get the next Minecraft game.

Also they don't have the attention span to sit through an interactive film-er I mean Telltale games, game.

It's different, and if Nintendo, and FPS Games have proven anything is that, things that are different, are generally hated on.

I DON'T THINK I SHOULD NEED TO STATE THIS; BUT I WILL ANYWAY BECAUSE THIS IS THE INTERNET, AND PEOPLE WILL BE PEOPLE, IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. SO I MUST COVER MY BASES VIA THIS VERY ATTENTION-GRABBING, CAPS-LOCK, RED TEXT OF

    WARNING-NESS!

THE FOLLOWING POST CONTAINS POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR MINECRAFT: STORY MODE AND ANY AND ALL UPCOMING CONTENT AND FEATURES! CONSIDER THIS YOUR FINAL WARNING TO STOP READING, RIGHT NOW, IF YOU WISH TO NOT HAVE MINECRAFT: STORY MODE CONTENT BE SPOILED FOR YOU!

Thank you for your understanding, and stay sharp!

    ~DJ91990 aka Scythe_Ironclaw

    Hello everyone!

I recently got my hands on Minecraft Story mode and was playing around with buttons on my controller.

(I was trying to see if I could activate a selected item :flintandsteel: to see if I could burn the treehouse down Yeah, I know, I'm a troll! :tnt: )

In doing so, I eventually clicked Left Stick on my Xbox 360 controller and accessed a hidden debug menu.

(You can also press F1 to enter this menu)

This menu has Allot of options. But if you fool with them too much and skip around out of sequence, you can soft-lock your game! (LOL)

    There is also a funny oddity that I found while skipping around with this menu; there is a point in the story where a character says;

"Looks like [Name of Team you chose here]'s luck is turning around."

    When skipping around with this menu the character in question says;

"Looks like the Noname's luck is turning around."

I don't know if this is what is said normally if you chose "..." when you are picking the name of your building team, or simply a placeholder to prevent the game from crashing.

Below is a few screencaps of this menu

A few options here; notable options are "Choices" which does nothing, and "Debug Text" which seems to do nothing as well.

Also the character gender and model you chose is displayed. One final option is to toggle cutscenes on and off.

Turning cutscenes off can yeild...interesting results in some sets that are scripted areas only.

But this last screencap has to be the most interesting of them all:

"Boot" is the Title Screen, "Menu" is the main menu, "Minecraft101 (not displayed in screencap) - Minecraft 105" are for accessing scene selection menus for Episodes 1 - 5 (IF you don't have said DLC added, the buttons do nothing, so no skipping to the non-existent Chapter 5! LOL!)

But the most interesting option: "MinecraftSandbox"

Just what is MinecraftSandbox? Selecting it does nothing. Was this a scrapped or removed debug feature where they used a Minecraft Sandbox to build the sets? Is it going to be an unlock-able feature? I highly doubt asking the developers on the reddit AMA will yield any...useful answers. Mostly your typical "Oh we know, but we can't/won't tell you LOL" PR answers you'd get.

I can't seem to find anything anywhere about this menu, or it's many options. The idea of a MinecraftSandbox mode sounds very interesting.

Perhaps it could be a mode that would allow other players of the game to make their own small stories using the game's assets, and upload their own maps for others to download? That would be cool!

What do you guys think of all this? What do you think the MinecraftSandbox option is or was meant to be?

Also has anyone else found this menu?

It should be noted that two other users on this forum said that they were unable to access this menu,. Here's what I was doing when I accessed this menu:

Version of game: GOG (Good Ol' Games)

Save Slot 1: Renamed to Jerk Mode

Accessed the menu at the point in the game where you are in the treehouse and gain control to look around and find stuff in chests. (Episode 1)

This mod is one interesting mod.

I hope to see more content added to the mod in the future.

    I do have a few questions though;

First of all; how do the meteor crash sites work? Do they always exist in world, or do they spawn after you click on a meteor and then successfully run the calculation. The reason why I wonder is because I'm worried that meteors could destroy villages and player built structures.

The second question is a spoiler related question so it will be in this spoiler:

Is the Insanity research useless, or does it unlock something?

"MEANS: A moment before the dawn now and not there was a strife amongst the barely a linear curve teem"

What's this?! Shoot an arrow into the sun? Do some sort of complex calculus before the sun rises in game? !?!?!?!?

Also the text in a blood stained journal is a bit hard for me to read. m's look like n's, o's look like a's, etc.

Dude, there is a major, world-breaking bug with this mod.

The ruins type is what I call the "Ore Pillar"

Its the structure that is mostly made of stone that has many different ores like Emerald, Iron, Gold, Diamond, and Redstone.

The problem is every time I walk on, touch, etc the redstone ore, I crash.

This is an NEI bug. Going to post this on the NEI post.

I'm gonna try to salvage this save using NBT Editor to move my position to my spawn point, but I think if the chunk containing the bugged block is loaded into memory, it will crash the game.

UPDATE: I managed to move my player back to the last bed I used, then walked back and punched that troublesome redstone ore and nothing bad happened. I wonder why NEI decided to crash my save when walking on a redstone ore?

The random loss of max health seems to happen when I enter combat.

It seems like every time I get into combat with something that there is a chance that this bug takes place.

One moment, I have 1 heart added by RPG with 0 hearts added by heart containers, to 1 heart added by RPG with -1 hearts added by heart containers.

Sometimes it is fix-able by saving and quitting the world and reloading it, then re-loading it.

But other times, the bug is permanent, and can't be fixed by saving and quitting the world and reloading it.

    Hello.

I keep having a rather annoying problem with this mod.

Randomly, my max health that is added by this mod will remove hearts in an odd way.

For no reason I would, for instance, have a total of 15 hearts, but 2 of them will never recover. When I press H to open the status menu, I would see:

Max Health: 15 Current Health 13.985739201931... Hearts from RPG: 5 Hearts from Heart Containers: -2.

Is there some sort of command to add/remove hearts in the current version so I can at least attempt to restore the hearts randomly removed?

Yeah, right after I posted this; I found a rather stupid solution to making a bound pickaxe that doesn't do anything else:

    Binding Self Dig

Binding Self Dig is the most Mana Efficient way to have an infinite durability pickaxe as Dig can't use mana as Dig can't proc on Self.

I can level mountains (rather slowly) with this pickaxe and actually GAIN mana while doing so.

The only downside to this is that you gain NO mana XP doing so.

Also I remember how I got it to work the first time:

    Binding Projectile AOE DIG.

It's very useful for making tunnels.

I wonder if Binding Projectile AOE ZONE DIG will clear out a 3x3x3 cube?

I find Binding Projectile Light to be cool, but is it intentional to have the Projectile Light to Proc when Mining something with the Pickaxe as I find it annoying.

Also are Moonstone Meteors bugged? I haven't found any on my current world and I'm mana level 12, the config is set to 10.

    Hello!

I am running Ars Magica 2 version 1.4.0.008 and I am having a problem making the spell recipe book for tool binding.

I've tried placing Binding into the first of the five squares in the Inscription Table, I've even placed it in the row down below the four squares.

I've even tried placing a Binding shape in both the first of the five squares and the row of the Inscription Table.

Every time I do this I get an Unfinished Spell Recipe "written book" that's completely blank.

What's aggravating me about this is that I got Binding to work before on this exact same version so WTF?!

I know you add the Binding Catylist of the tool you want when you actually throw items into the spell crafting altar, but my problem is making the stupid book to be able to use the crafting altar.

I think I'm just going to blindly throw in a blank rune, followed by the items needed for the binding spell and see what happens, most likely EXPLOSIONS.

But anyone know how to get the Inscription Table not to botch up?

Here's some Images (contained in spoilers in-case anyone's still using Dial-Up these days)

    Square 1:Self Bar:Binding

    Square 1:Binding

    Square 1:Binding Bar:Binding

I've made a binding spell before, but for some reason now I can't.

This stinks! This mod looked awesome and all, but if I can't even make the basic tools to get started, then I can't progress. :C

I hope this error log will help.

posted a message on Minestrappolation 3.0 - A Complete Vanilla Overahaul!

I don't know if I didn't install this mod right or anything. But every time I try to make a stone pickaxe with two sticks and three cobblestone, I crash.

    Brewing API 1.7.10 3.0.2

    ClashsoftLib 1.7.10 2.7.3

    Minestrappolation-1.7.10-3.3.4

    MC Forge 10.13.4.1472

Every-time I launch it it says that I should download version 3.3.4. But I already have version 3.3.4 so WTF!?
