New Mini-Hostile: You need to find a dye, golden apple, and fishing rod. The mini-monument is a sheep. Use items in order that you found them. Result: Balloon
Witches are OP. In fact, poison is in general. Since it was added, the only thing that counteracts poison (besides cryboxes) has been milk, which can be a hassle.
My question is this: What should Mojang add to counteract the OP witches/poison?
I thought of a few myself, such as a Potion of Poison Resistance, a Poison Resistance enchantment, and an NBT tag that can make witches throw certain kinds of potions (example: Instead of a speed shower potion, have a speed shower witch). In fact, the same thing with Cave Spiders would be cool (ex: Blindness Cave Spider)
That place hurt me so bad. That place is like (Shut.Up.Spiders!Augh!)^2. I lost so much loot in there.... had to resort to some clever tunneling to get the wool. honestly Vechs, if you want OP spiders, that's fine. Go for it. But add the cobwebs and the spider knockback makes it nearly impossible to do "the fun way".
All my deaths in there were to the loot. Bad endershot, accidental pearl, shot off, shot off.
Which type of maps do people prefer:
Open World- No structure. You have to explore to find the wool and the dungeons are not in any enforced order (SoFII, Canopy Carnage, SBI)
Linear Branching- Uses intersections to direct gameplay (legendary, IM)
Open World/ Linear Branching- Has Intersections but they are more guidelines than directing gameplay (kinda like Infernal Sky II)
Open World Structured- Similar to a Zelda game, is an Open World landscape but certain Dungeons can only be accessed after others (using Jukebox + Capacitors to Block off certain areas).
Linear- The only way to go is forward.
I've been planning a map for a while and I'm wondering about what people think of the different types of CTMs and what they wish they could see more of.
I personally love Open World, but they have to be done well. From Ashes is a great example of this. There was a structured story line and great gameplay. SOF2 and SI weren't storied, but the gameplay was excellent. If you're going to make a Lethamyr, don't bother.
My 3rd derp was in Hane's Disgrace. I attempted to enderpearl to the blaze spawner, but missed and hit the glass wall. I lost everything, including a sharp4 iron sword and a pair of diamond boots. I was able to recover easily, as I got a ton of loot out of that place. Thinking of taking Lush Ruins from the back, any tips?
Ah, 100 posts. I'd like to thank everyone who remotely knows who I am, due to me lurking for over a year. Not much of a 100th post, I know, but here are some of my favorite CTM moments:
(Note: I did get Orange Wool, the monument blew up and I forgot to replace it)
(Note: This was Beta, so the Red and Black wools were not in yet)
Also, I'd be fine with my head being used. If you're making boss mobs make me D4rk the D3str0yer.
Aaaaaaaand, one more thing
I have a hunch that Vechs will be doing Fallen Kingdom next, or somewhat soon. In the start of Hane's Disgrace, the book talks about some island kingdom, which may be a reference to it. I personally thought the kingdom would be Ilvern or something, since Ilvern appears in 3 maps. Anywho, it may not be true, just a thought.
I pretty much will always use vanilla. I do like some of the Painterly and Doku textures, and in 1.2.5 I made a hybrid texture pack. I may do that again.
Just finished Spellbound. All the victory pics and shizz will be in my 100th post. Basically it's anything I've played in anticipation for IM.
So basically Spellbound and old Sunburn (played a few other non Vechs too)
Anywho, I was looking through my jars and realized I never finished Kaizo. I also started replaying IS. Kaizo I was playing on 1.0, which I'd probably continue playing on just to finish it. But, my question is should I finish Kaizo or play IS?

Should I take Lush Ruins from the front, or exploit a certain shortcut and do it from the back?

Would it be bad if I flew through the map and added one way teleports at intersections to previous intersections? The travel times are killing me.

The sarcasm.
And now you can look at my amazing page get.

My MCEdit skillz are off the charts.
(Yes, I'm starting mapmaking. I have a really good idea that I haven't seen anyone do before. Back to it!)

I love playing SH again.
