Glitch(?): When you fall onto Cold Aercloud from a height that would kill you, you actually do di instead of not taking damage and yor items that you worked so hard to obtain fall off the side of the world and you have to start all over again. :/
Oh, and does anyone know a way to find gravitite a bit easier? Haven't found any. D:
Cold Aercloud only stops fall damage sometimes. So not a glitch, you were just unlucky.
It's a laptop, no way can it run a server. Minecraft itself is fine, but a server is something else altogether. Laptops will always have less powerful hardware, less cooling etc. than a tower CPU because they must be lightweight, generally easy to use, and above all portable. Seriously, a laptop is no use for this kind of thing, you'll fry it.
I installed them before I installed aether, no portal is opening up.
Well, I had the same problem as you, turns out I installed it wrong. Watch the video there on the OP, follow it, install again, all that jazz. Also, a proper portal is made of glowstone, uses 14 bricks, and is made like this:
(where yellow wool is glowstone blocks, and that white bit represents air (nothing))
And is activated by pouring water, from a bucket, into any of the inner spaces.
I was just about to tell you about the discs, but I got ninja'd bad =P
Nice customizer. I enjoy having a blue bed. Nice work! (what does ad lumen even mean)
That's pretty damn cool. Two questions:
1: Can creepers evevn climb ladders? And, for that matter, how does one lure a creeper without it blowing all your mechanisisms to pieces? (Very carefully! =P)
2: As regards your questions in the video, a ) The reason it can't be any bigger is because pistons
can only push twelve blocks max - so it wouldn't repair any bigger a floor.
And b ) Your clock could have been smaller - and made without the need to place and remove a torch to start it. =P
A tad complicated. How about you just craft the smelted slimeball into water? Slime dust crap would just make a useless item. 1+ Anyway
Now that I think of it, the process used to make Slime-Aid seems a bit complicated; just smelt slimeballs so they break into powder and need four to make it.
apart from that, I love the idea, great job, especially on the OP - and the sig! (may cause death, LOL =P)
I like the sound of this idea, it'd make gold tools and armor more useful. Maybe have it so golden pickaxes can mine everything iron ones can at high speed? (remember, only 33 uses) Anyway this would be great added to the game. Maybe a mod could be made to add this? :mellow.gif:
Feel free to tell me the answer anytime. I am curious if these count as the "future releases" guaranteed to all alpha buyers.
No.
These are seperate games, for a different platform. They are not part of the PC Minecraft.
Not even the earliest indev buyer would get these games for any sort of a discount.
Just wanted to know whether I am the only one who finds 128 meter limit too low.
There are a lot of buildings much higher then that in RL, also, because of that we can't have decent mountains.
Personally, I've only encountered the height limit by pillaring up to it and hitting my head. ;P
In any case, if you want a bigger building, you could mine down to bedrock level - that's another, what, 64 blocks? 1.5 times what you get from ground level. If you have the determination to build a 128 block tall, who-knows-how-many block wide building, I'd say you could mine that area down to bedrock. You'll get more material to use anyway. =D
(in short, I don't find the limit too low)
I am getting a black screen when I log into Minecraft :/
Just to say.
If you want help, the best thing to do is to detail the problem. Why might you be getting a black screen? Have you installed any mods, for example? If you did make sure you deleted the META-INF folder in minecraft.jar - not doing that will mean a black screen at startup (of Minecraft).
Failing that, the above poster has a point. Installing the latest version of Java can help with this kind of thing.
But remember, if you want help you need to give as much detail as possible. What your OS is would help, for example. =) EDIT: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/197-read-first-how-to-get-the-best-support/
That thread is a good guide as to what info you should include.
Oh, didn't see your post.
Yes, those three symbols in the top left are cooking times.
For example, a single coal can cook eight items before the furnace burns out.
Axe = Wood-based (except sticks, which are 0.5)
Minecart = Coal/Charcoal
Lava Bucket = Lava Bucket
I see. Makes sense... thanks.
I believe Fruckert posted a glass mod for this texture pack that's very similar to that mod. It's at the bottom of page 7.
Which would be great if it worked. D=
I don't know if it's that I installed it wrong, or if his textures are somehow incompatible with the mod now that it's been updated to be CTM and not Better Glass.... in any case, do either you or he know where I need to put the textures he made? =/ Right now I have them in /.minecraft/bin/Glass (Glass being a folder that is part of the mod).
The text in the upper right is, I assume, how many items a unit of fuel can smelt.
Hmm... looks like it. I see a Lava Bucket there with "100" beside it anyway, so that must be it. =D
EDIT: oh, and while I'm posting this, my favourite thing about the pack is the new breaking animation that's all spirally. =D
EDIT2: Disethas, take a look at this mod. It's the connected Textures mod, and I'd like you to submit your the textures of your glass/bookcases/chests/etc. for inclusion in the mod so I can use it! Take a look at the thread and think about it. =)
I love this texture pack, it's great! The only one I've so far seen that I've bothered to install. I especially like the interfaces (smelting, inventory, etc.) I'd like to know what that little text up in the corner of the smelting screen is supposed to mean, though.
Keep up the (damn good) work! Diamonds to you, sir!

Aerclouds only nullify fall damage some of the time, you were unlucky.

That is a nice use of pistons though, I like it.
